Singapore Airlines is known as the best airline but things can always happen with the fluctuations in the weather. The captain was very good at deciding to make an emergency landing in Thailand.. Seeing the good help of Thai people, I feel admired and everyone. Very country should do the same help when emergencies like this occur.

This is why you keep your seatbelt fastened while seated folks.

That's why seat belt is on every time you are seated.

If the forced climb is confirmed, the flight investigation needs to add a requirement for aircraft manufactures to add a maintain-climb-automatically feature.
Then in turbulent air with this characteristic air movement, positive 'G' force can keep passengers amd cabin crew safe.
The pilots would then be able to return the plane to cruise altitude SLOWLY, so never having the plane in a negative 'G' situation.

Hmmm…I wonder why they tell you to keep your seatbelt on at all times…I wonder.

Even the worst turbulence the pilot is very good to make and emergency landing.

Imagine it wasn’t wind shear or turbulence but in fact another malfunction on a Boeing plane , they don’t want to mention Boeing having another issue after the months of issues and incidents this past year . Would plummet the share price even further down ….

From the images taken onboard it certainly looked like quite a few passengers were propelled up from their seats and crashed against the overhead panels, judging by the large amount of oxygen masks dangling out☹️

The overhead cabins came open so anytime could have hit a person sitting

BOEING plane AGAIN and this time they are talking about the RADAR SYSTEM onboard Boeing 777-300-ER model plane that dont give normal and accurate Reading about the weather ahead ( Storms, etc,, ) on real time when on automatic mode....!!!! I want to add that this problem is well know among Pilots who are flying that model plane and it is also known by the Airlines company and PROBABLY by BOEING itself --- BUT NOTHING IS DONE TO CORRECT THAT RADAR SYSTEM ONBOARD ALL BOEING 777-300-ER MODEL PLANES….WHY..??? And what about all other Boeing model planes, do they all have that same problem regarding their Radar system or not...??

Any B777 pilots care to comment or refute?

      Hi, aviation journalist here.
No aircraft have the ability to detect turbulence.
The radar you mentioned is for reading weather, and for detecting concentration of cloud cover- which may contain storms and bad weather.
Pilots are only aware of it unless an aircraft on the flight path before them (or in a similar vicinity) radio in to ATC about the turbulence they experienced, so there is no way of telling when turbulence will happen- unless it is with a storm.
In addition, turbulence can affect any type of aircraft, it is not just Boeing.
If it turns out that there was a mechanical failure that may have been present on board the aircraft, contributing to the worsening of the situation, it is most likely that it is the fault of SIA, as the aircraft is 16.3 years old, meaning that ever since it left the Boeing production facility, SIA was in control of its maintenance.
Airlines are also allowed to substitute equipment in from other companies they deem sensible, and may opt to not use the equipment given to them by the manufacturer.
Please do research before producing false information.

The Boeing 777 has a pretty darn good safety record despite previous incidents in the past. Turbulence could even affect a brand new Airbus A350 or A380 for that matter and still cause havoc.

Gotta love their choice of a dispassionate AI voice monologue to cover a pretty rough breaking news story. Perhaps they should’ve chosen a real person to read that script. Terrible situation nonetheless.

why I have a feeling it is a boeing?? and it has to do with faulty air pressure sensor? because it happened so many time already.

It simply isn't a Boeing issue. This is severe turbulence, and it will affect any aircraft type.
