I've experienced severe turbulence before when the plane was trying to descend through severe gusty wind conditions. Yes. Situation like this very scary. I had experienced twice, flight to hkg and from Indonesia, it like the plane suddenly fall off in a matter of seconds. Alhamdulillah, Allah the Almighty saves us and at those time only keep on praying.
I’ve experienced pretty intense turbulence in the past, and my heart was definitely racing afterwards. I wonder how bad this turbulence must’ve been for that gentleman to have a heart attack and pass away. 😢

Tracking data captured by FlightRadar24 and analysed by The Associated Press showed the Singapore Airlines flight cruising at an altitude of 37,000 feet. Just after 0800 GMT, the Boeing 777 suddenly and sharply pitched down to 31,000 feet over the span of some three minutes, the data shows. The aircraft stayed at 31,000 feet for just under 10 minutes before rapidly descending and landing in Bangkok .
Yet the incident happened at 7.50 so try again with your sensionationalism.😊 A 6000ft drop over 3 mins pre-landing is completely normal and safe manoeuvre.
@@scienceevolves4417 The Singapore Airlines Flight #SQ321 experienced severe turbulence over Myanmar's Irrawaddy Basin, causing a 7000 feet drop in about three minutes. Such a steep fall is not normal and can lead to injuries among passengers. The flight departed from London Heathrow Airport and was en route to Singapore's Changi Airport when the incident occurred. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft made an unscheduled landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at approximately 3:58 p.m. local time Bangkok is in the UTC+7 time zone, which is 7 hours ahead of GMT Therefore, the turbulence likely occurred sometime before 3:58 p.m. Bangkok time, which would be before 8:58 GMT (3:58 PM Bangkok time - 7 hours = 8:58 AM GMT) The exact time is not provided, but it was likely around 8:00 GMT or shortly before.
It’s well advised to keep the seat belts always fasten even if the seat belts sign has been turned off . This is due to unexpected turbulence . While crossing equator there are high chances of tropical storms which can cause moderate to severe turbulence . Sometimes the clear air turbulence can also be an issue so it’s better to keep the seat belts securely fastened .
Turbulence can occur anytime , anywhere. I do want to point out Thai, Indian and Vietnam airspace can be wild as many times when I travel out from the Philippines to Dubai, turbulences occur frequently above the airspaces of aforementioned countries.
Luckily, they landed in Thailand and got treated at Samitivej Hospital. They are well known and well equipped with professionals doctos & nurses. We hope everyone will get well soon and return home safety 🙏 🙏🙏 God bless everyone 🙏❤

Well done to the pilot in landing the plane safely
Plane system n structure was NOT Damaged in Anyway.
No Reason what so Ever that Would even be a Problem
@@vincecarlo so turbulence then
Well done Thailand, I can't help but ask myself if this happened over my country's airspace what could happen if the plane had landed in JKIA? These events can happen and it's sad to hear death occurred as well as a result. QR to everyone affected
No mention at all if any of the injured are cabin crew members who may have been in the middle of providing meal services and therefore not securely seated at the time
Crew must protect themselves according to a safety course. They already have more ways to protect themselves than passengers.
Yes, very important to have your safety belt on at all times esp when you sleep.
❤どうもありがとうございました❤ 🇹🇭
Tiring to listen to this newscaster. Could you read a little bit more smoothly...rather than choppy..
Sad for the passengers who experienced painful experience
Often it is the cabin crew who are necessarily unbelted and injured in such an incident.
Mashyallah May God protect all the passengers on the flight. My prayers are with you all.
Think those who kena injured could be the air stewardess who was busy serving meals when this severe hit the plane.
Yep Boeing builds a tough, strong, safe aircraft. That’s why they were able to land safely in spite for the extreme turbulence they encountered.
My deep condolences to the family who lost a loved one.
All respect to the two pilots for managing and taking control over the situation, this could have become much worse had they not dealt with this as true professionals. The pilots are the true heros here. Imagine having to deal with that and then from gaining control over the plane to landing the plane. They did an amazing job. x
Yet the incident happened at 7.50 so try again with your sensionationalism.😊
A 6000ft drop over 3 mins pre-landing is completely normal and safe manoeuvre.
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft made an unscheduled landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at approximately 3:58 p.m. local time
Bangkok is in the UTC+7 time zone, which is 7 hours ahead of GMT
Therefore, the turbulence likely occurred sometime before 3:58 p.m. Bangkok time, which would be before 8:58 GMT (3:58 PM Bangkok time - 7 hours = 8:58 AM GMT)
The exact time is not provided, but it was likely around 8:00 GMT or shortly before.
Praying from Kenya for healing
i am sorry to hear about this news. sending my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. 🙏
Pray that all the injured passengers will be recovered. It must have been terrifying
Turbulence can occur anytime , anywhere. I do want to point out Thai, Indian and Vietnam airspace can be wild as many times when I travel out from the Philippines to Dubai, turbulences occur frequently above the airspaces of aforementioned countries.
But your country too much typhoon also
@@OkOk-bi2pq Im not even from the Philippines haha. Its worse if you travel when near a storm such as typhoon.

Facing turbulence is something very common during flights. For safety, one must wear the seat belt ALWAYS. No need wait for the seat belt 'on' sign.
Thanks CNA for the timely update.
CNA was slow about the news, i already heard the news from other media before CNA broadcast it.
Hope everyone remaining safe and healthy. Thais are here to help with love and caring.
At least thanks and be grateful to the pilot for his knowledge and wisdom to had not allowed the plane crash
Thank you for your help share a video and report May Wong the passenger airline's.in Singapore ❤❤❤..
Luckily, they landed in Thailand and got treated at Samitivej Hospital. They are well known and well equipped with professionals doctos & nurses. We hope everyone will get well soon and return home safety 🙏 🙏🙏 God bless everyone 🙏❤
It must have been terrifying.
Condolences to the family and friends of the British man. ❤️
In aviation accident history, yes, turbulence has caused deaths and critical injuries before albeit uncommon. Hope the survivors get well soon and condolences to the departed. Also let this be a reminder to have your seatbelts on when you're at your seats.
Those who likes to travel also must take risks no matter what mode of travel, that's the meaning of travel.
If you don't travel you too take risks just eating food can be risky life is like that
I don't understand what the connection is between unbuckling one's seat belt and eating a meal.
