I saw esbjorn play twice in the U.K and it was a joy to behold. I just hope Dan and Magnus can over come such a great, great loss and move on, although, i doubt it will ever be the same without Esbjorn :-(
Jazz... ONE of the greatest American inventions ever. Cool a foreigner has perfected it in a spectacular and unique way. Its almost a new style. I can hear vocals over this... LOVE IT!
Class. I love the faces; they're really feeling it. Great work, guys, and I personally think this version is even better than the album version. Top drawer.
It is so sad that Esbjorn is no longer here to play... We sure did lose one of the best jazz instrumentalists of our age when he passed away. At least we have all the fabulous work he did. And about the three people who disliked this - what exactly is wrong with them?!
Jamais je n'oublierais ce merveilleux musicien ,et son groupe d'Amis formidables ! Magnifique musique, à la fois mélodique , et rythmique ...Sans doute que les Anges chantent avec lui au ciel ... Merci Esbjorn, merci aussi à ses deux musiciens ,friendly for us...(Didier D'agostino French professionnal drummer /composer and teacher of drums ,vidéos on youtube )
Seems that his music predicted his tragic death. It is to beautiful and emotional, all of his makes you think about the little things that matters in life, about love, emotions, fear, happiness. Each and every time when I go back to his music, I fell like I don't want to hear something else in my whole life. R.I.P.
If you look closely,he stands up to mute a section of the piano.Thats why it sounds muted, kind of " guitar stacatto " thing.Sounds very good in my opinion.
@twixcookie I've got the studio version on album Seven Days of Falling. It is good, but this live version beats it by a long way. You may want to get the Live in Hamburg album. Absolutely beautiful.
my god! hit that double bass ! so much passion love when i get in this mood, so bad i don't have a band to cook with if you know what i mean. but well i'm starting to do it alone. anyways.
damn , when i remember i use to ,how to put this in right words, not love jazz. I'm not forgeting there are another zenres of music with huge expression of feelings , but jazz is more divine
Beautiful!
Lay Down - Relax - Close your eyes - Let the music fill your soul! -
You're alive!
What a difference between living and just existing!
its music and musicians like this that keep me going on the journey of becoming the best musician I can be.
When first I heard their music my world was enhanced. When I heard he had died I was sad. Yet joyful am I for his being has left us a wonderful mark.

I just found out about this cat yesterday (02/17'11), and his beautiful music. I was sorry to hear that he was gone. He will never be replaced.
Miss you Esbjörn.
In all its magnificence.

We lost one of the greatest pianists. It's a shame.
How could anybody dislike this, it is the nicest piece of music I have ever heard R.I.P Esbjörn Svensson.
E.S.T. is the soul in the form of sound.
