LOL, same. Once I stopped fighting logic and just started using the gauge ruler and presets it just worked better for some processes. It's like every different thing I do with it I find myself fine tuning for best results on the MIG processes. With the TIG, well if it wasn't for the foot controller the presets would be a run-away train. Then you plug it in to 120V and it's a different ball game. I found myself making a custom settings chart just for normal no brainer settings on this machine. I don't regret buying it. It runs way better than my $6K Snap-on multi unit. Sad but true.
Great vid Stretch! I have this welder and am very happy with it for auto use. been pining for the tig stuff for it but keep talking myself out of it....
The standard in the US for voltage is 120 / 240 not 110 / 220. At my home my 20 amp circuits read a 127 volts I am right at the transformer on the power pole. I have this welder and I am a hobby welder so far it has worked very well for me. I used it today in fact. I do agree with you with the 3 year warranty claim. I purchased mine for $749.00 2 years ago. For a casual welder it is not bad. If I welded for a living I would not being using this rig maybe a Green one or Blue or a red one.
Yeah, especially sometimes with the older than us generation that were raised in a time where trust wasn't a big issue like it is these days, and things were done at a more personnel level when making a purchase instead of the big retail stores. An older gentleman at Walmart the other day who was looking at windshield wipers and you know talking about how expensive they were for a certain brand per each and he had another brand in his hand which he asked me about that had 2x printed real big at the top of package but then in real small writing above 2x, it said can last up to, 2 times longer than a conventional wiper blade which at first look and until he was telling me that you know in this package you get 2 wipers but these others are single packaged. So he thought since it said 2x that it was 2 blades which in all actuality it was only 1 blade that said last 2 times longer so like you said if i hadn't told him to read the small print then he would have gotten home thinking he got a better deal on 2 blades than buying them separately until he opened the package to find that there was only 1 blade False advertisement is too in my opinion when you intentionally mislead someone. Nice video man, I bought the Migmax 215 about a year ago and it is way worth the money! Still going strong using daily in my small welding buisnsss, like you said factory settings in the thicker range are off
I bought the Omelet-Pro 9000 after the first time you published this video several years ago. It has served me great. That being said, I am probably not skilled enough to realize it's shortfalls, but it works great for me. Thank you for all you do in your videos!!
Was waiting for the Omlet Master to make a return! The only real change is that they went up in price. Now that could be because that was the introductory price that they had for a bit or they got a bit more expensive.
899 on sale before the coof, then the warranty changed and went to current price. I got mine during a holiday 10 off sale and got their cc to get the 10 off to stack
never heard of a 10 amp circuit, but yes of course if you are running a lot of stuff on a 15 amp circuit you will have the problems you mentioned. i ran an everlast dual voltage machine on 110 v using a small gauge 50 foot extension on a 20 amp circuit. 95 amps stick welding with 6011 3/32" rods. just barely enough power to do the job, but it worked! hooray for dual voltage. all these new machines that do all the thinking for you, just seems counter-intuitive to me...i read the puddle to tell me what the settings are doing for me, and the sound it makes. if you don't learn, you won't know if the machine is giving you the best settings. i am worried about dumbing down of the workforce or overdependence on technology i suppose

My favorite welding content! Thank you! Been following you for sometime and your collective knowledge is invaluable. Cheers!

Should've ran the 6010 on factory settings and seen if it would stay lit
I watched you years ago and just found your new channel. Your vids got me back into welding, thank you for that
Chucky likes the Vulcan! The two knobs allow you to adjust over or under the factory settings for individual preference.

Wow, lots of info. Thanks for the great video!
Your welds look a lot better than mine Chucky !
Will you please tell me how many Amps it pulls from your 240v outlet? What size wire did you use from breaker panel to outlet? Thanks in advance!
It’s amazing I was just thinking of this video the other day thank you for uploading this again and be safe

7:17 or they run it off a 50 foot 16 gauge light, literally meant for lights, gauge extension cord and wonder why the arc keeps blowing out.
Check out the vevor mig 270 ! I just got one for like 275 bucks and it's mig tig and arc 110/220 and so far I am super impressed with it 👌

Isn’t that an adapter for using straight CO2? I’ve never ran straight CO2 but that was my understanding.
I Wonder if they have fixed these issues?
Let me know when I can come and pick up the machine ! 😊💓
Has anyone run some 6011s with this machine? I'm not having any luck with these 6010s.
What was THE PRICE of this welder ?

I remember when reviews were real and not sponsored.
I have found that the presets are a little hot.
Might be a CO2 tank adapter.

You’re the guy that traded his dodge Dakota for a extended cab Chevy Silverado. Yee Haw!!!
90 day warranty no thanks
Lots of talk. Weld something.
