Some company makes a red dot that swivels just for the Sub 2000 folding, but your idea for the quick release is great. I would paint the picitanny sections fore and aft of where the mount goes instead of just counting slots or remembering, in case you gotta put it on in a hurry.
Great idea on marking the pic rail, I hadn't thought of that. I ordered a sub 2k last week, so I'm doing my research and trying to decide how I'm going to outfit mine.

Take all your mags and a file. Run the file down the sides and clean the mold flashing off. This is a topical issue with polymer mags. You can also check your mag well for mold flashing and file it off.

the Foregrip and glock 19 mags were from Turners... the fiocchi red dot was from amazon, so was the QD mount and stock pad.

Question. I get (but not necessarily agree with) 10 round magazine capacity limits that some states require, but why does California require a fin to make the Sub 2k compliant? That looks uncomfortable as hell to shoot with that fin on it. Otherwise, all the other upgrades were great!

Love your video. Looking for accessories for my S2K with fin grip. Please let me know which model of Monstrum Tactical red dot mount did you get. Does is is hold zero on the plastic rail after you remove it and put it back. Also do you have to cut the length of the chick pad from Amazon and how good does is hold on the rubber tube
thank you - this is the mount I got - www.amazon.com/Monstrum-Tactical-Lockdown-Adjustable-Height/dp/B076XPL6B8 - it will hold zero as long as the red dot doesn't move on there and you put it back on the same exact location you used to initially zero it.... and yes I had to cut the cheek pad about an inch to get it on there, it sticks on there well, just make sure you put it a bit to the side so that you can fold the keltec s2k back down. hope that helps
Brother im california too so i kno how it goes but if i were i would take that fin off with a quickness and buy an oem adjustable stock. Clean build either way. 🔥

there is something called a patriot mag release that will lock the mag and allow the removal of the fin, I will be looking it that - otherwise the fin is not as bad as it looks :)

Good call on M*CARBO. I did every upgrade they offer to the S2K. Expense, but worth it. Completely transform the firearm.

Do you plan on zeroing that red dot every time you take it off?
I'm pretty sure that once I set up it up and zero it, as long as I put in back in the same exact position each time, it should be zero'd properly. I will be testing it soon and will report back on that.
Make sure you use brass. Metal or aluminum rounds don’t cycle/eject properly

no none of those guns have adjustable stocks by design, its not a california thing with that firearm! the reason is your charging handle and part of your bolt assembly runs inside the tube of that stock.

Yes, the non-california stock has three different positions. On the California model two of the three holes are not drilled.
"California edition"...too bad. Anyway, the Missouri Tactical recoil pad is the best option but I also use Mcarbo's recoil buffer. Mcarbo makes a lot of upgrades for the Sub 2K. Their Red Dot Mount is the best option for optics but it is very pricey.
I have to say California and it’s infinite wisdom with that fin is about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen!!!! I left that horrible state twice and will never be back there.

Your set up is all messed up take that CA compliant stuff off and get a new fore grip so you can leave your optic on. Why would you think taking it on and off was the way to go ? The optic wont stay zeroed.
It will prob stay zeroed enough for close range. Anything longer than 50 yards away I would be weary.
