He can-can definitely play the organ
(눈‸눈)
This is the type of video that blows up after a few months
Many people can play an instrument but an organist seems to become part of the instrument! The fact that each hand and foot is doing something different is mind boggling.
For those who have never heard it in this context, at 1:22, Jonathan Scott exhibits what is called "heel and toe" method for playing melodic lines in the pedals. And he does it extremely well!
People who dislike this have got to be tone deaf or just like to be controversial .

Anyone else been listening and watching repeatedly over the last few days? 👀

It's snowing here in Canada as I write this, but Jonathan suddenly brought the warmth of summer into the room with this electrifying version of the Can-Can.
Ha! Love this! Playing the Can-can is one thig... Dancing it on the pedals is another :D !!!
One-of-my-favorite-pieces-played-to-perfection.---LOVE-IT!!
I am not an organ player but usually you can hear some slight imperfections in precision on timing mostly due to how organs are complex instrument. But here, those two incredible brothers play it all exactly spot on even at the tempo of this Can can. So impressive
This organ seems to particular responsive, and the acoustics quick enough to avoid the sound becoming a muddled mess of reverberation. Ideal combination.
@@WCM1945 I notice he is using a lot of reed stops. I wonder if that helps.
@@mkshffr4936 Reeds are generally quicker in attack, but slower to decay. But neither characteristic is pronounced enough (IMO) to make a difference here. I have to credit the flawless balance of organ to acoustics.
I've noticed that smoothness myself. He doesn't lose a nanosecond moving across keyboards. Steady as a metronome!
that seems really good to me, I saw even worse
I can’t help but sing to the periodic table hearing this
@Erik Geier boron carbon everywhere, nitrogen all through the air
With oxygen so you can breathe, and fluorine for your pretty teeth.
@Erik Geier MAG-NE-SI-UM aluminium silicon
PO-TA-SIUM and calcium so you'll grow strong
This is the periodic table, noble gas is stable, halogens and alkali react aggressively
I hope this was as much fun to play as it was to listen to. Thanks, Jonathan!
I have never heard another organist play that fast. WOW!!! Amazing!
Thank you for sharing your gift of music with us. I am a contralto and pianist who has a great appreciation of the organ in its grandeur. Both you and Tom are a joy to watch and listen to. Have a blessed day!
WOW, Jonathan Scott, magnificent teacher, a hug from Spain.
Thank you Jonathan! You're absolutely fantastic!😁👍👏👏👏👏❤
"Christmas christmas time is here the sleighbells and the red nosed deer, lots of joy and hope and chear
but mostly shopping shopping shopping"
Wow, never seen a pedal glissando before!
Bet nobody does THAT barefoot!
@@WCM1945 nobody wants toe jam on the organ pedals 🤢
@@keyshialee1585 What, nobody can jam on an organ? :D
They can can but they don't don't.
That was fun. Thank you.
My GOD!... did you see! that man's footwork!?! . . .
(It made me literally gasp-- and i couldn't BREATHE! until he finished...!!)
Absolutely Amazing! Thank you for the making the morning glorious!
Great fun on a dreary winter day! Thank you!
Great music and amazing organist !
The best version I've ever heard !
1:21->1:32 is the best part
You are great 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪
This wee gem of an arrangement sparkled and dazzled in equal measure. Thank you so much to Jonathan for bringing a fresh interpretation to a well-known and much-loved piece.
This has brought a big smile to my face!
Simply spectacular, you made the organ sing!
And here I am, trying to cross the street and chew gum at same time.
I was thinking along similar lines! I'm reasonably sure he's got a spare arm or two under that jacket....
Great!
Love it 😊😊😊
Jonathan, make more Arrangements
THIS IS PERIODIC TABLE, NOBLE GAS IS STABLE, ALKALI AND HALOGENS REACT AGGRESSIVELY
jonathan scott your wonderful, i think your a 6 star
Good lord, I was set to be impressed anyway, but that was just uncalled for.
Fantastic.
Beatiful💯
Perfect!
What a gallop. Loooooove it
Fantastic transcription and performance!
Can kick up your heels listening to this!
Como siempre, Maravilloso. (Juventino Flores, Córdoba, Veracruz, MÉXICO). Saludos.
YOU INSPIRE ME VERY MUCH JONATHAN
dreaming to see you in Taiwan soon
Traumhaft dieses Instrument so zu beherrschen. Gratulation
I* would loved to be invisible in the theatre listening and looking at that cathedral of a organ. So surreal.
Brilliant
God of organ. Jonathan has really inspired me to get playing again after 20 years.
I am pianist my selve and I played Orgel a few times too, so that I know how hard it is and it is really impressive what this guy is doing. It was so hard for me to stomp on only one foot pedal because they are so close to each other.
Well thats why organists wear thin shoes
He makes it look so easy!
That was some fancy footwork!
Love it )))
Love it!
It really shows that Jonathan can cancan with the or gan.!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! BRAVO!
I told it in Italian: spettacolare!!!!!
Very nice!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
speechless....breathless...........
Magnificent. I was very entertained. Really loved the pedal work and glissando at the end. 🎼🎹
Bravo! Thank you
That was fun!
the master
Why hire an orchestra when you can hire Jonathan Scott
'Cause setting up an orchestra doesn't require an architect and a whole construction crew. Sadly, that's still the one insurmountable flaw of massive concert hall organs.
And organ :)
@@Diego-zz1df Hybrid organs do exist, and they don't need pipes at all.
because an orchestra is more expressive and dynamic.
@@user-hm3ni1wd3f I have to disagree there I am afraid 😔
This was the first music performed by Jonathan that I heard on RUclips a few months ago! It was amazing, I liked it a lot and now I hear the two brothers every day. Thank you for everything!
I am speechless literally my jaw dropped he is so awesome
Well done, sounds fantastic!
Wow, it was awesome 👏👏 🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵
Magnificent! Thank you so much for sharing with us!!
very pog
Loved it, thank you
Simply glorious !!!
Outstanding! You never cease to amaze.
Champion du monde
This brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you Jonathan!
Was würde ich geben einmal da mitten im Raum stehen zu können. Wer mir das ermöglichen könnte dem wäre ich unendlich dankbar!
👏👏
Wonderful performance
I keep seeing a row of dancers kicking up their heels in my mind.
so refreshing to hear lively music played on an organ , instead of dreary , somber church music
Wow !!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have not heard this in Years Thank You Much MagicalPipes Heel Mooie Orgel.
Thanks for all the wonderful Utube videos you have been producing. Can’t wait till I can hear your and Tom’s concerts in person again!
This is really a tempo :-) Wonderful piece of music.
Fantastic beautiful music. Thanks.
Amazing👍
Jonatha, make an educational video how these organs work. What pipes are which keys, what are those knobs over pedals and so on. It would be very interesting!
For us Italians this song also has some fantastic lyrics. Germano Mosconi rests in peace
Wat een uitvoering !!!! Virtuoos ! Meer van dat ....
Em 1819 e seguintes anos cultiváva-se o bom humor musical, assim o diz Offenbach nesta obra de excelência!!! CanCan!!!
Adorei a interpretação do nosso bem amado Jonathan Scott, Excelente como sempre!! Mil Aplausos
Крутое исполнение. Одно из лучших. Огромное удовольствие.
Bravo Jonathan, well played!
Playing that is a full body workout!
Wunnebar...🤩❤
Estupendo!!!!
Wow! Bravo!
Wonderful arrangement and wonderfully played. Also, excellent recording although I'm sure RUclips's lossy audio detracts from this magnificent organ's true sound.
the sound of the organ makes the can can sound so wholesome
