Organ Solo while playing Rondo Alla Turca is amazing
I'm always intrigued when Jonathan performs a piece of music on the organ usually associated with another instrument. OK, pianos and organs have the same keyboard layout, but they produce a completely different sound. Jonathan has not disappointed me yet.
I thought, that I was familiar with this Rondo Alla Turca. After listening this very impressive perfomance I had to change my opinion. Congratulations! to Jonathan Scott !
Theatre/pipe organs were designed to replicate a whole orchestra. They are much more complex instrument than a pianoforte.
Hi Jonathan well done but à bit too speed for my taste
Ez egyszerűen hihetetlen előadás! és az a mosoly a végén mindent elmond! sokszor meghallgatom! Teljesen más orgonán ez a darab mint zongorán! Köszönjük!!!
Ich würde so gerne sowas mal live erleben.
Thank you for uploading this amazing snippet so soon after your concert. You haven't forgotten your loyal supporters who are always on the lookout in the hope that there is a new pleasurable surprise awaiting us !! We are so blessed to feel part of your musical appreciation 'family'.
Organs can be so thunderous and magnificent. 😀
Wow! I thought that only piano was posible this masterpiece
I love how the organ expands the dynamic range tenfold.
AMAZING This is simply an incredible show! and that smile at the end says it all! I listen to it many times! This piece is completely different on the organ than on the piano! Thank You!!! AMAZING AMAZING
Impressive. Literally one man orchestra. Great show.
Yes; playing a good organ is really playing a building.
Jonathan, how beautiful. Congratulations. How lucky are those who can watch the concert live. It must have been wonderful. Thanks for posting here on RUclips for those of us who can't see it live. Hugs!
One of my favourite classical pieces, and you did it justice, Jonathan. Thanks for making this. 😊
so accustomed to hearing this on the piano, a la Yuja Wang (and she might easily be my favorite pianist), but on the organ? WOW this is awesome! BRAVO Scott!!!
Congratulations! to Jonathan Scott !
Have only heard this with piano , or harpsichord. Sounds great on organ. From Chicago, U.S.A.
Thank you Jonathan and Tom for another masterpiece. It is always uplifting.
This is beautifull for a piece that was never written for.the organ. It just shows how versatile a good organ with a good player really is.
Totally agree,
What I rather did not like, is using hand and feet for this piece, because it can give impression that an originally piano piece that uses only one keyboard and 2 hands, NEEDS at the organ all its resources (many keyboards and using hands & feet + stops changes) ; thus piano purists shall say " look, we do not need all these resources and such an expensive huge & complex instrument to play masterpieces like this so, let us with our simple 1 keyboard piano, we never get tired of it !!" §
Because I DO DEFEND THE PIPE ORGAN & I 's a pipe organ purist fan ( I'm 39 engineer) (As an Pure Musical Instrument, (not liturgical cause I am not Christian, , I'm MUSLIM of Morocco)) & I hate piano (and violin even more)), but the fact that piano has been for 200 years the example of keyboard instruments makes me uncomfortable , because the first ever keyboard was actually for the pipe organ !!!!
I mean, for a not very difficult piano piece, it should be done on organ using only one keyboard or minimal resources, so that the organ will have always other resources for really symphonic and difficult pieces.
for information , organ pieces of french classical era by Clerambault use only hands in the same kayboards with just stops to changes (Suite 2nd tone, etc...).
Wow, I cant even pat my head and rub my belly at the same time, you are amazing!
I probably listen to this piece three times a day. I just can’t get enough of it. Absolutely beautiful.
Me too 😂
Brilliant wish I could press like a 100 times
Ingredible how Mr. Scott plays the organ. Like a battle of fingers on the keyboards.
How lucky the audience at the Bridge Water Hall have been to be able to live that magical moment by attending this concert just as I was able to experience it and now remember with nostalgia. Wonderful Mozart's encore, a magnificent gift for everyone, at least it reminds me of when I played it when I was young. On the organ it sounds great... Congratulations and thank you very much again!!💖😘😘
God bless you Jonathan... You have elevated it.. Pianists thought the organ can't perform it at, this tempo but you have demistified it all.
You're th best. Mentor more especially I organ arrangement works.
Hallo!
Sparkling and cheerful piece,
Fantastic played!
Thank you!
With Love from the Netherlands.
jonathan makes such a well known and overfamiliar song sound so fresh!
What a tremendously powerful sound, almost ripped my heart to shreds, outstanding, brilliant performance.
In case anyone else wanted to know: Mozart composed this at age 27.
28 year olds: 💀
Die Orgel ist ein besonderes Instrument. Sie versetzt in solche Emotionen.
Don't ask me why, but this piece reminded me of an organ on a merry-go-round.
Ayo same
Why?
You really have a talent. I play organ too, but this is something special, love your work so much.
That was fun!! 💃 Bravo! 👏👏👏 Thanks for sharing. 🎹🎶
You two are beginning to become a habit with me. Thank you for this lively, lovely performance. xx
Fantastic!
Ganz ganz Wunderbar Jonathan Scott
The perfect encore to a fabulous recital. 👏
Beautiful, wonderful! I can't imagine how good it must be to hear you during a presentation! Congratulations to you both for the wonderful performance and video. Thank you!
Superb - of course(!)
Many thanks.
I’ve probably listened to/watched this video twenty times. Absolutely beautiful.
Those trumpets are insane....
Yeeeeaah!!!my favourite piece!!!! Good good goooood!!!!
Fantastic - thanks for sharing.
`
Brilliant.
Best birthday ever! Thank you, Jonathan and Tom.
Sublime
bravo👏👏👏🥰
Mozart really missed a trick writing that for the piano! Hoping to be fit enough to start attending concerts again soon - missing you both but enjoying what you do on here.
i don't agree, i think it sounds better on the piano.
Great!
Amazing Jonathan!😁👍👏👏👏
Good show
Speechless!
Your virtuosic playing is AMAZING! Gina Dodds, USA New York

Awesome Arrangement I’m very Satisfied to hear
I used to hate this piece. I had to endure it five days a week for two years. It was used as a piece to teach typists rhythm. I think it was the only record they had. I now love it, but it has taken more than 50 years.
I took typing in high school. We had a metronome for rhythm and speed building. Clack, clack, ding. From Chicago, U.S.A.
My typing teacher always used the William Tell overture
This Wonderfulness and comfort is off the charts
The depth of my emotion is immeasurable
Bravo!!
To Jonathan I hope that Jonathan will read and agree with this article ^^ I am writing this post using a short amount of time thinking that I should leave a comment before today is over. It was early morning in Korea when this video was uploaded. As soon as I opened my eyes, I listened to this song and was so happy and surprised. I am a worship accompanist at the Presbyterian Church and a beginner in the organ. I was practicing carefully because my teacher emphasized playing with the 3rd and 4th fingers. It reminded me of my favorite Mozart, his song Turkey March, and I played this song about a week ago. With a beat similar to Jonathan. Of course, it lacks a lot, but while listening to Jonathan's arrangements, I was influenced and played with that feeling. I want to listen carefully to the pedal point and play it accordingly. Do you have sheet music? I want to challenge. I would have been even more ecstatic if I had heard it in a concert hall, but I am happy just listening to it on my car audio while driving. thanks! From fan woori in Korea.
The link to the sheet music is provided in the header section of this video.
@@epincion thank you ^^
Thank you so very much Jonathan for this marvellous music! It makes me happy! (my English is not perfect).
MAGIQUE !
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How perfectly done !!!
This went well! It is rowdy music, and without being corse, this manages to be riotously fun to listen to. I imagine that is hardly easy to play this on a large pipe organ and keep it swinging!
Bravo!
Best wishes from George
What a masterpiece! 💯 🥇
AMAZING! 🎹
E.P.I.C !! Huge respect from the Netherlands. This channel is a delight to listen to.
Pure master peace
Thank you so much. Brilliant.
Amazing work and performance!
Funny. Im going to try this. The piano part is the best of it. I'm fascinated. 👌
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Bravo Bellissimo!!
Amazing played👏👏👏👏
Magnificent performance. Always greatly appreciated.
Well that was lively!!! When I saw the programme for this concert I was incredibly envious of all those lucky people who would be in the audience! So many of the pieces listed are favourites of mine, largely because of your videos. I'm sure your audience enjoyed the concert immensely, & the encore!! Thank you both for uploading this taster.
WONDERFUL performance!! Thank you so much for sharing this. It just made my Saturday morning.
Woaw ! 🎶🎹🎵Excellent !! Merci 🎶
Cool
Number one
Wonderfull! Bravissimo!
Every day you are progressing more and more in every possible way!
You would have to think about screwing up at least once
If it is impossible, then at least in the planned way! Please! 🤣👍
Pls. come and try the Marcussen and son organ in “Musikkens hus” in Aalborg, Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰
As can be expected, a brilliant performance. :)
Le Turcca, best iA!
Amazing music and fantastic player !
What an amazing performance, Jonathan! One of the best performances of this piece that I have heard and what makes it even more amazing is to hear this piece played on a pipe organ! I loved this video! Will Ortiz
Complimenti !!!!!!🎉😊
Превосходно👏👏👏👏👏
Flott gespielt.
Here before one bajhakadgillion views
BRAVOOOOOOOO!SUPER:)
I'm curious - is Jonathan the world's first RUclips pipe organ star? I don't recall anyone else becoming this prominent. Anyway, well done (again)!
I'd say Gert van Hoef was the first
❤️❤️❤️
Ah, Little Einstein, I remember it well.
This is already amazing, but it must have been so much better to be there, to feel the power of those left hand chords...
Listen to this piece on classical guitar !
I can't imagine how will his ear go while playing this 😂
Is the tempo just fast or he was just quickly playing to finish faster
I agree the organist performance is very good; not as impressive as my favorite Xaver Varnus but certainly good enough to be credited.
This remark accidentally got downloaded on wrong video. Jonathan Scott and Xaver Varnus are the very best!
This is one of the most overrated and overplayed pieces in the history of music, but you gave it a new magic. Absolutely astonishing registration and amazing performance on this beautiful instrument!
Can be a bit slower, marching instead of hurrying.
What I rather did not like, is using hand and feet for this piece, because it can give impression that an originally piano piece that uses only one keyboard and 2 hands, NEEDS in the organ all its resources (many keyboards and using hands & feet + stops changes) ; thus piano purist shall say " look, we do not need all these resources to play this piece and let us with our simple 1 keyboard piano, we never get tired of it !!" §
