    Finally got round to trying the trial n I can’t seem to get it to work. I’m using Ableton 9 n high Sierra n it keeps crashing my daw after a while. Haven’t managed to route it. I’m trying to use my pioneer ddj sr to control it. Any ideas?

    Ohh this looks interesting, anyone know if this possibly works with minor little controllers like the numark dj2go touch?

    How on earth have I only just learned about this? This is so sick. Also such a nice set up video. It's a breath of fresh air having no frills, consice info and a pleasant candid attitude in a product vid.

    Any tips on how I can get it to work with my Gemini slate 4 controller? I bought the VST thinking I had found what I needed and can't get it to work with my controller using FL Studio 21

  • @joman66

    I guess the VST doesn't work with turntables that work with moving platters? Can't figure this out...

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  Год назад +1

      Correct - there are a few midi platters that rotate, these generally use a different type of midi scheme, so don't work with the plugin

    Would this be able to be used with other MIDI controllers that aren't DJ MIDI controllers? I'm thinking about this new MIDI controller I have called The Glide. Could the jog-wheel function be mapped to one of the accelerometers in such a controller? This is a demonstration of the controller: ruclips.net/video/knnOYReLhSs/видео.html The MIDI Fighter 3D has similar functions in it. Also, a heads up, you spelled the domain name of your website wrong in the description here. Also, the contact form on your website isn't working (it might have something to do with me trying to send it from work)

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  3 года назад +1

      So included in the midi mapping is an alternate mode for this sort of experimentation ("velocity mode"). You can map any controller to the play speed of the turntable (and a button to the "touch"). What this means is that whenever you press the button, the turntable will start moving at the speed indicated by the slider. If mapped to something like a midi keyboard pitch wheel, this can work reasonably well ;)

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  3 года назад

      Wow, thanks for noticing that! Fixed now. The form should be working (at least, I get mail from it regularly).
      Per the controller, you should be able to use something like that using the "velocity mode".
      Let me know how it turns out :)

    Hi there! 1st time scratcher! Should my controller platter move at the same ratio as the indicator on the MIDI screen, say if I touch the platter at 9 o'clock and move it to 12? I have a very old controller (Mixtrack, not even pro) and I don't want to learn wrong (let's say, hypothetically, if I were ever to try scratching on vinyl).

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  3 года назад

      Not necessarily. That's what the "sensitivity" setting will change. Everyone has a slightly different feel, you may want it to move more or less than the platter itself.

    Hi, my Hercules Universal DJ was recognized and mapped successfully in Reaper. I am amazed at what this plugin can do, and haven't even tested the DVS feature yet. However, there was a slight but definite lag with my controller platters, compared to how snappy it looks in your video. The demo installer seems to have installed VST3 and not the VST2 for me. Do confirm if you have dropped VST2 support. I have sent you an email through the contact form as well describing a few issues I faced. Thank you for making this plugin.

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  Год назад

      Heya - no VST2s anymore, did away with those a couple years back. Latency really shouldn't be an issue, the audio is build in realtime. Feel free to reach out the my website and we can have a closer look if you want

  • @Billkwando

    In addition to the questions below, I've noticed where the sample's start point will start migrating backwards while scratching the same sample continuously (for practice), so that I have to adjust my hand on the platter to catch it. I'm set on WASAPI now, but it does the same thing on ASIO (I switched temporarily because ASIO's audio exclusivity prevents me from practicing with RUclips videos). I've replicated it here: ruclips.net/video/fWjXsbsC1Yk/видео.html Is this something to do with the Friction setting?

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  3 года назад

      Definitely try changing the friction, but if your hand doesn't leave the platter then it also might be something to do with the midi. Feel free to email me (contact form on the website) and we can take a better look at the midi stream of that device

    • @Billkwando
      @Billkwando 3 года назад

      @@Stagecraft_Software Yeah you can see in the video linked above where the yellow touch indicator is always there, on one side or the other. Plus, if my hand did lose contact with the platter the sample would slide forward, not back, right? :) I'll email! Still curious about your platter ratio though, maybe that's part of the answer (but prolly not lol).

    Hey! Hope you’re doing well. I have a question, I’ve been using Scratch Track for about a day, and one thing I can’t see to get down is the directions. I’d like to be able to spin my platter back and go to the start of my sample like with a real record, however even when I move the platter in one direction only it alternates between left and right on the sample. Additionally, I can’t get Scratch Track to receive any MIDI signal at all in Logic Pro as I can’t find a way to route MIDI to an audio track in Logic , only in Ableton. I tried messing around with the Friction and Sensitivity with no luck unfortunately. Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much! 🙏 I’m using a VCI-300mkII controller

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  2 года назад +1

      Heya - not sure I understand entirely, can you send me an email and we can get into it. My guess is you don't have it mapped correctly (it can be tricky, especially if you are having trouble routing the midi). There is a bypass (direct midi) in the midi control panel to skip the DAW.

    • @sundownbelow
      @sundownbelow 2 года назад

      @@Stagecraft_Software Sounds good! I am definitely having some trouble getting it mapped with my controller as it often maps the touch and scratch functions to the same perameter. Where can I email you? Thank you for the fast response

      Also one of my biggest problems is that I can’t get any midi signal to it at all in Logic Pro which is my main DAW!

    Will it work with push 2 somehow?

    • @Stagecraft_Software
      @Stagecraft_Software  3 года назад

      No, you don't really have the right controls on the push. You could map touch/play speed to a button and knob, but that's pretty rough
