    You make it so simple without being boring! Love it so much I made 2 for my baby boy, 1 for baby boy cousin, 1 for my 11 yr old daughter who thought it would be great without sleeves and not a sweater at all, but a dress! It actually came out pretty darn cute. Of course I still wanted to make the sweater for her, which is almost done. All 5 projects have a different color combo, and look beautiful. Did I mention, I LOVE this pattern! Thank you!🥰

    • @stephaniem6200

      I agree. and seems you can't crochet the arms in the same direction - she shows one arm and starting to crochet towards the back of the sweater. this was ok for one arm, but ends up being opposite for the other arm. there is no way to crochet towards the back of the sweater for each arm unless you turn the garment inside-out and don't mind having an arm that looks completely different from the rest of the sweater. So I did my own thing as well. But I appreciate the way hers turned out. Very nice.

    I’m wondering how to make the yolk/neck a bit tighter like the picture of the boy in the black and grey. I’ve been wanting to purchase the pattern but can’t get past the neck being so open. Anyone have any insight? Could I use a slouchy/cowl like neck then proceed with the number of stitches for the chest?

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  4 года назад +2

      When this pattern was tested we found the chain makes it fit a bit better for an adult. Unless you want more shoulder exposed than go with fdc. You can always do decreases around the top edge at the end if you find it too loose as well.

    Are the multiple sizes accurate for this type of yarn or they tend to run small? My son is 6 and a half? I’m not sure if I do a size 6 or a size 8? He is considered average thin and a good height for his age.

    • @MadieGia
      @MadieGia 3 года назад

      @@sherit8594 I always go further with research after Yarn substitute results. Sometimes they are pretty close and sometimes they do not exist anymore. So everytime I am looking for a yarn substitute I end up looking further for an appropriate one or changing the project...In UK I do not find most of American great yarns that I see in videos or they are expensive.

    • @MadieGia
      @MadieGia 3 года назад

      @@sherit8594 A good observation is always welcome. I am considering myself still in learning process. And is very truth what are you saying. Any small difference in yarn size or type completely changes the aspect and the size of final product. A million times I wasn't able to have the yarn mentioned in the pattern and I was completely disappointed when having many issues with the working process. This discouraged me for the moment and is a loss of money and time as well.
