Just here to comment that I haven't noticed lag or sound delay and am currently watching this with my Sony WF-1000XM3s. They're fine. As for call quality, it's not as bad as he says it is. Even in noisy environments. Would highly recommend them.
I am using them on iOS. Delay is pretty much non-existent, as videos such as from RUclips are getting shifted, so the sound matches. Call quality is terrible for me. Nobody understands a single word, doesn't matter if I'm inside or outside. I always have to switch to the internal phone mic. That's not what I purchased them for, though.
I feel these long term reviews are definitely more valuable than the initial reviews done by so many tech reviewers who never return to a year old product. I've had these for about a year myself and I definitely think the mics have improved as well as the noise cancelling. I've also gotten so many compliments on these which at first I figured these would look like an eyesore. The app has definitely been a point of improvement.
@Isuru Ranaweera got mine yesterday, great pair if earbuds. Need to find right fit fir eartips, for me foamy ones didn't work. Equaliser and app makes them stand out apart from everything else. Sound is superb. Choice is there for memory foam tips as well from third parties.
Good thoughtful review. I've had mine a week and I am very happy with them. I have not used ANC earphones before and expected the feature to be underwhelming. I was pleasantly surprised, I live in the main business and retail area of a city, I stepped out of my flat and immediately wondered why it was so quiet, the ANC was on. Turning it off revealed just how much sound was blocked out. I also find the battery lasts longer than estimated. One point worth mentioning is I have seen complaints that they aren't loud enough. I first paired these with a phone I had borrowed while waiting for a new one. The volume was really low compared to other buds. It was one of the cheaper Huawei phones. I thought about returning them but waited until my new Sony 10ii arrived. Glad I did, they go very loud on the Sony phone and an old iPhone. I just fitted some comply tips that further improve sound. I bought my Sony buds at John Lewis for same price as Amazon.
Thank you! Thats brilliant! Yeah you really dont appreciate the ANC until youve turned it off and on, then you're really surprised as to how much noise it actually does block out. I have heard the same about the volume, but I have a Note 10+ and have to say I've had no issues with that. Glad you're enjoying them though! Thanks for stopping by the channel!
I've had them for longer than a year and I think they are brilliant overall. I think the design, battery life, sound quality and app have all held up. What's more is that I love that SONY improved some things and even added more features with fairly regular software updates.
Ive bought mine more than a year ago and tried different brands of wireless earbuds including sennheiser airpods but i always come back with the sony, i love them

For the price they are at now, the Xm3's are absolutely brilliant, As many have said before me, the active noise cancelling is leading class, in wireless earphones, sound quality is better than most, what more could you want? Xm4's will most likely make subtle improvements to these things for sure, but enough to warrant paying an extra £100 - £200? probably not. The biggest change in the Xm4's will be a slimmed down design I reckon. Hope that helps a little
That's true. Based on Sony's release patterns the XM4s probably not gonna hit the shelves till Aug 21. Appreciate the reply btw! Just made my choice easier. Cheers!

So I'm kinda scared I'll be overspending ya know... Any advice?
My opinion is that these are great value for money at the moment, and they're widely considered the best in class at the moment! So I'd say go for these, if not, at the end of the video I listed a few alternatives, either of those are a great choice too :)
Thank you so much, I was looking for a video that showed these particular headphones, as I would really like to purchase these. I also wanted a video that showed an opinion after a long time of usage. Keep it up man
I had just bought last week, my review is it is painfull in my ear and can't last for long, my bose qc30 is better in sound quality, comfort and noise cancelling, plus it support two device between my laptop and mobile which wf-1000xm3 doesn't have
I guess everyone's different! I found my bose ones to be painful in the ear, these were much better for me. I suppose the difference is youre getting rid of that wire, so everything is in a much smaller form factor with the Sony earphones, shame though, you could maybe look into some of the alternatives I posted at the end of the video? Thanks for stopping by the channel!
@@mikoaudreychan1739 Yeah, took me a while as well. Switched between medium and small first, ultimately settled on small. Was looking into a foam alternative as well, but the right ones seem to be too hard to get where I live. I only saw medium size to buy as well. They are very comfy now though, I think it took a few weeks for the buds to properly adjust. Kinda comparable to shoes taking a while to get comfy as well.
I have noticed that the full charge of my pods not lasting more than 95 min. Even if I get it charged both the pods are not showing equal percentage of charge. Charge duration is the one major problem I am facing in these earpods.

Yeah all updated, I can see a difference when I'm at home but friends can never hear me when I'm walking outside, apparently it sounds like I'm under water 😅
Hi! I found them in a really good price in my country. But I’m really confused. A lot of people on RUclips says that they are the best earbuds ever, while on Reddit everybody says they have problems with connectivity and fit. So do you think that they are worth it right now? Are they really the best earbuds to buy in terms of audio quality? Are they good on mic calls right now after firmware updates? Pd: I bought buds+ and I’m returning them because I didn’t really like how they sound (they lack of bass and they doesn’t have a rich sound).
I think now more than ever they are the best ear buds, purely because of the price drop, exceptional value for money. It seem connectivity issues have been due to older phones/devices in most cases, I personally haven't had an issue ever, and have used them almost daily for well over a year now, still going strong! At the end of the day, if you have a serious issue with them, Sony are usually pretty good and will replace them for you. Hope that helps a little!
Tempted by these but wanna know if there are connectivity issues? Just tried the Jabra Elite Active 75t and found putting my phone in my front pocket (left or right side) caused audio stuttering due to poor Bluetooth signal. It totally dies if I put it under my arm (not functional just a test I tried to check it was this Bluetooth issue). Do the Sony have this issue at all?
They also have bad quality when used with Windows 10. The driver's provided by Microsoft detect the earbuds as a "1 channel, 16 bit, 16000 Hz playback device" which is listed as "Tape Recorder Quality" in the drop-down menu. They also suffer connectivity issues with Windows 10 from those same drivers. Sony still hasn't fixed it and it's highly annoying.
Perhaps its a defect with my earphones, but I get this strange background noise when on a call and people can never hear me 🤔 Glad you like them though!
Anyone have stuttering problems with these? Mine happens frequently. Sony says it could be interference, and if it is then the connection is not that stable. This happens mostly when I walk around my neighborhood or when I'm doing chores around the house.
Was a tossup between these or the MTW2s for me, ultimately picked up the MTW2s today as I'm used to the MTW1s and had an overall amazing experience with them. Still may pick these up at a later date because curiosity is getting to me
Yeah they're a great choice too! Wireless earbuds are strange, you almost want to collect them 😂 I have a very interesting pair of wireless earbuds coming soon to the channel, I'd like to see what people think of them. Thanks for stopping by!
Are they comfortable, like for working out or when running, do they keep up or the fall out right away?? I'm having some issues because I don't know because the jabra 75t elite and the sony are on sale on Amazon ES buy IDK which buy
Same situation and I'm conflicted in which of them to buy. Pro Jabra: Fully customizable At least 70€ cheaper if Amazon warehouse Water and Sweat resistance MUCH better fit and more comfortable Pro Sony: A bit better sound Touch control Anc
1 year of daily use and the battery is already dying. Barely lasts an hour. The problem with these 1 year reviews is that they don't take into account daily usage. Your usage will amount to just 3 months.
At the price they're currently at, they're well worth it, as I said with the battery life you'll probably find no issues as the case charges the earphones that quickly, sound is excellent and the noise cancelling is probably the best you can get on wireless earphones at the moment. Last time I checked xm4 was just a rumour theres nothing been registered from Sony yet so I think you would be waiting a while! Hope that helps and thanks for stopping by!
@@TechItEasyCollective Since I bought them in Germany, Sony said I only have warranty in Germany. But nice review, they were very good before breaking.
I just got a pair for Christmas and I can't help but notice that the battery life is much lower then what is advertised, I can't tell if it's because of a software update or if I should turn something off but hey
Cheers! I mainly used them when weights training, and to be honest they felt fine, the way they sort of lock into your ear makes it difficult for them to fall, Just remember theyre not water resistant so take care when using them in the gym!
@@TechItEasyCollective Well, now I will. I'm kind of a cycling fan, so I was checking if they could take the ride. Since there's movement but no so much like doing push ups or jumping jacks o something like that. So think I'll buy them. There aren't many reviewers having this approach of long term reviews. Some quality man. Keep it up!
Hey, to be honest I've never noticed that, just the obvious noise you'd get from high winds but all in all it seemed fine to me, not something I noticed anyway!
Bought these last week, and as im very pleased with the sound performance and noise canceling ... the battery life is VERY disappointing. I get a notification to charge after only 2 hours .
Really? Wow I have heard mixed things about battery life, I personally have never had an issue, might be worth chatting to Sony about that if thats the case mate?
@Banx I actually went in Sony's website and open the user manual .. Turns out the are more variables for battery life - If you turn the DSEE HX function ON, battery life goes down by half . Using the apps equalizer will also drain the battery . So it's not just ANC on or off. Thanks for the reply ☺️

Actually pretty good, of course they dont block out 100% of the sound but music is still clear, probably better for your ears than listening to the racket from the tube!
I am unhappy with my WF’s. The very short battery life is a major issue for me. 6 hours????? More like 1 hour!!!!!! This reviewer is a liar!!!!! They seem to cut off a lot. I don’t get the sound cancelling that I got with my Iphone earbuds. The sound can be described as good for home use . I have now gone back to wired headphones with a DAC and amp.

After the newest update I only get 2 hrs with everything on. Maybe I have a bad copy. With everything off I'd get around 4.5 hrs. Equalization : excited. Volume 60. After one year my experience is that the battery life is not good. And the 6 to 8 hours claim is very misleading. Many other people claim as well they only get 4 hours.
Battery life is about 3hrs of constant listening for me and there brand new, yes I can toss them in the case and they charge fast but I need to stop listening.
The same goes with mine, the battery on each earbud only last for 3 hours on continuous playback. I felt like i'm being tricked by Sony. On its specification, it says BATTERY LIFE(CONTINUOUS MUSIC PLAYBACK TIME) Max. 6 hrs (NC ON) / Max. 8 hrs (NC OFF). None of these hold true. I've finally decided not to buy any Sony products from then on.
@@naimuds8269 true maybe that's at volume level one but still they should say 3hrs and if it last longer that's great, at least no one gets mad about getting more, but when you get less and in this case a lot less it looks bad.
@@danialhillmann5374 I dont think that it has got something to do with volume level. I always set the volume to 2 or 3 out of 10 in most occasion making sure that my hearing is protected from getting damaged on extended use (10 as the highest volume level) but it doesn't make any difference to its battery life. We're all been tricked by Sony's false commercialization claims.
Don't recommend this. Pairing is sometimes quick, sometimes slow, sometimes I have to put it in the box and take it out and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Just as I'm watching this video, one side is connected, the other side is not. But the side that is connected can't even get smooth audio, audio is cutting off like glitches, 3 times per second. I took it off now because I couldn't stand it. I have replaced the ear tips with some cheap memory foam (not Comply) ear tips because none of the provided ear tips can stay in my ear or provide good isolation. And now one side of the ear tips broke, just a few minutes ago. I wish I didn't cheap out and got the WH-1000XM4 instead.... geez, the right side ear buds just connected as I'm typing this (like 1-2 minutes after I typed the second paragraph).
Wow, did you buy them 2nd hand ? You should contact Sony about that if you bought them new! Sorry you had a bad experience with them, not nice when you spend so much money on something 😓
I have the same exact issue. The buds are barely a year old and were not abused but after an update I noticed the battery drain was faster than usual. I get to 20% in an hour of use which was not the case before the update. Some suggest that you reset the buds (put in charging case then press both sensors for about 10 seconds until it blinks blue) but it didn't work for me. I'm hoping future updates from Sony will get this issue fixed as i'm sure this is a firmware issue.
I'm listening to this on my wf-100xm3. I've had 2 replacements so far. The first one, the left earbud wouldn't turn on. Second pair, right earbud won't charge at all. Now the third pair, it can not nfc pair, and it constantly disconnects

Well I missed a trick there, thanks for sharing, kind of bad that I made the assumption everyone was using it with their phone! Sorry!
I just have bought and tested the calls, it did a good job, idk why they said it was very bad
Tech It Easy Haha for sure, gave you a sub buddy. Thoroughly enjoyed the video & will tune into that one as well
@@tfromthasix1956 Thanks buddy, really appreciate it!
Are they comfortable, like for working out or when running, do they keep up or the fall out right away??
I'm having some issues because I don't know because the jabra 75t elite and the sony are on sale on Amazon ES buy IDK which buy
Same situation and I'm conflicted in which of them to buy.
Pro Jabra:
Fully customizable
At least 70€ cheaper if Amazon warehouse
Water and Sweat resistance
MUCH better fit and more comfortable
Pro Sony:
A bit better sound
Touch control

i lost my airpods today at work, switching over to buy these, just need to decide what color
I'm sure you'll be impressed with these! Just don't lose these ones ;)
What a moron!
@@forefatherofmankind3305 this happens all the time 😃 everyone can lose these
1 year of daily use and the battery is already dying. Barely lasts an hour. The problem with these 1 year reviews is that they don't take into account daily usage. Your usage will amount to just 3 months.
Are they worth it to get right now or wait for mx4?
At the price they're currently at, they're well worth it, as I said with the battery life you'll probably find no issues as the case charges the earphones that quickly, sound is excellent and the noise cancelling is probably the best you can get on wireless earphones at the moment. Last time I checked xm4 was just a rumour theres nothing been registered from Sony yet so I think you would be waiting a while! Hope that helps and thanks for stopping by!
@@TechItEasyCollective Thanks a lot, mate!
Im a fan of Sony headphones / earphones they do very very good sound quality! and by the way good video!
Thanks buddy!
Mine now are about 6 months old and hold about 2 hours. This is not good at all. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...
good job with your thorough reviews, keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy, really appreciate it!
Mine stopped working after 2 months, left one does not charge anymore.
Oh no! Did they replace them? Thats awful, had mine a year and they're like new!
Ive heard similar reports actually, for me battery life is fine, it seems to be a bit hit and miss!
Same here
on my ones i have only 50 minute capacity after one year, also they absolutely don´t work at Samsung Smart TV´s!!!
Hey man, great review. Just one question, How about the stability when you are working out? Have they fell at any type of exercise?
Keep it up!
I was getting a beeping in the left ear I think I did a update and it away I’m not sure tho
How do they do in the wind? I heard with the anc on it picks up wind and messes it up a lot.
Hey, to be honest I've never noticed that, just the obvious noise you'd get from high winds but all in all it seemed fine to me, not something I noticed anyway!
They do pick up wind noise when when you set it to focus on eliminating wind noise.
They do well in wind, as long as they are used as normal In ears. That means ANC off and ambient sound also off. I use them on my bycicle often
Airpods Pro or this?
Do they have Dolby tanks support?
Not that I know of buddy
is there a way to just use one bud and when it dies, just use the other??
Yea that’s how they work
I bought them and get about 4 hours out of them before they die pretty bad since my galaxy buds pro last 7 hours
Normally I rly dislike reviews of small channels as they usually suck, but ur review was actually helpful and good
Haha well thank you! 😂
Do you think this guy is from London?
Plot twist, I'm from Cheshire ;)
Uk has many accents 😉
@@happyguy2k Good for us. I’m from Glasgow and, as proud as I am to come from the land of buckfast and wee bams, I wouldn’t like to say every 20 seconds in an earphone review that I’m from Glasgow
@@TheHexicle lool fair enough, haven't been to Glasgow, i live in the UK too ✌🏿
Loved your review i have had mine for 6 months and love them best purchase ever I think

My sony gives 1hour 13mins of battery life🙁 on 100% charge
Same here i just got them 3 days ago too charged it a full day and still they only work for an hour guess the update messes up the earbuds its false advertisement lasting more than 4-5 hours is false or i got a bad pair
@@trungtran976 hi bro i guess i could help you with that. Go to your settings in the sony app and check if it is on "best audio quality" or best range. Select best range.
The only downside is that it slides off your ear for the most part.
How are these earphones on the tube?
Actually pretty good, of course they dont block out 100% of the sound but music is still clear, probably better for your ears than listening to the racket from the tube!
I cannot find a comfortable sized silicone bud for my ear size.🙈
Oh no! Maybe try and find some custom ones ? 🤔
Thank you!🙏
@@wondergirl60s you're welcome!
Cannon connect them with wire and disable Bluetooth?
No you can't im afraid!
Yeah... Put one end in charging port and another end of wire in your right ear ..
disable dsee hx, off eq, off anc guys to get maximum battery life guys
Thanks for sharing!
@@TechItEasyCollective at first I thought this earbuds was a scam becuz I only got about 3 hrs ish, only later to find out u have to tweak it
@@nurhishamadnan8867 3 hours!? Might be worth getting them checked, I definetly got more than that with everything turned on. That being said though, apparently the device you use with them effects them a lot! I'm lookong forward to their next version 👍
Appreciate the timestamps mate, great review 👍
Thanks buddy, in the process of deciding whether they're worth it or not, think that answers the question!
Are They Loud I Like Really Loud Music
I think they're loud enough! Others have complained, but I have heard that it can depend on what phone you have too, do you have a newish phone ?
Tech It Easy Yes 11pro max
U will go deaf
@@forefatherofmankind3305 in the world we live in today that sounds lovely
Depends on circumstance. I noticed they aren't very loud in a noisy environment. But they do get very loud when in a silent room.
I think their better than the Apple pros
Iam very disappointed in audio diportment. Ther is pic sound bass efect is very looo.
Battery life is about 3hrs of constant listening for me and there brand new, yes I can toss them in the case and they charge fast but I need to stop listening.
The same goes with mine, the battery on each earbud only last for 3 hours on continuous playback. I felt like i'm being tricked by Sony. On its specification, it says BATTERY LIFE(CONTINUOUS MUSIC PLAYBACK TIME)
Max.
Bought this craps two weeks ago. Fully charged, ANC, DSEE HX, etc all are turned off but hardly hits two hours, uh.
Wow, did you buy them 2nd hand ? You should contact Sony about that if you bought them new! Sorry you had a bad experience with them, not nice when you spend so much money on something 😓
@@TechItEasyCollective Nope. It’s original. Exactly, feels like it’s not worth the money. Well, I think that’s a good idea. Thanks man ))
@@javierconrad611 U must have bought Chinese knock off!
@@forefatherofmankind3305 not sure though. But, I’m sure it was an original products. Maybe it caused by some battery defects .
I got mine with my xperia 5ii
Good deal that!
I'm listening to this on my wf-100xm3. I've had 2 replacements so far. The first one, the left earbud wouldn't turn on. Second pair, right earbud won't charge at all. Now the third pair, it can not nfc pair, and it constantly disconnects
Thats such a shame! What device are you using it with? It tends to happen to people with older devices :/
@@TechItEasyCollective Galaxy S9 and a Dell Latitude E6540. When I want to connect to my laptop, it immediately disconnects and reconnects to the S9.
