      What you cannot do is skip back a track. That is an absolute mistake by Bose.

    Just bought the Sennheiser M2's to test against the Bose QC beings several said Senn's sounded better. At best its a suttle difference. If your a bass head you'll need an EQ (BOOM or Spotify) for Bose to get same/equal (maybe better sometimes) bass as Senn. Otherwise it comes down to touch controls (Senn) and Bose QC (ANC) they both could do better connecting to more than one device. The sound quality is close depending on song and EQ settings. So far Mike's review is the only one for what I had to find out myself. I had some connectivity issues with Senn too.

    Since I first commented on this, I was given a pair of Bose Earbuds c. 8 months ago and have to say, the ANC is without equal. The software to manage them is slowly improving but still lacks specific EQ control. I suspect this will come in time as Bose work out what they want to do. They don’t strike me as an organisation that moves fast unless they feel they’ve ‘got it right’ or unless they feel they’re losing market share (which they were).
    I’d also like to see the ability to switch seamlessly between iPhone and iPad without ‘disconnecting’ from one to reconnect to the other. Maybe they’ve been distracted by the rollout of the new QC45s (I’m still happy with my QC25s!).

    Touch controls reeeally sucks. I agree with the reviewer. Why only skip fwd songs? Why being forced to rotate through 3 ANC settings? Why not hot swapping? And yes, now you can change the sound level through your right earbud but it is a bit gimmick, it does not work really well for me (it's difficult to make minute changes, easier to increase-decrease volume by a lot by mistake). I tested the Bose QuietComfort vs. Sony XM4. Bose won. Sony has truer base and drums. More natural sounding and deeper. But Sony voice and guitars are weak and artificial. Also, I can only get good fit with Sony's odd "memory foam" if I keep my fingers pressed against the buds (not convenient). I ordered a replacement bud made of silicone (like the Bose uses) that other experts recommend for the Sony. If this "fixes" or improves the Sony's I'll update. Because right now, with the factory Sony foam, I can't even get good noice cancelling. WHich is surprised me because Sony is supposed to beat the Bose Quiet Comfort in noise cancelling.

    I drive a truck for a living so to say that there's excessive road noise in the background while you're using the phone is an understatement. How does the Bose earbuds do with excessive road noise in the background while using the phone when you're driving? Can people still hear you clearly? What's the range? Is it more than 50 ft?

    Details are definitely missing in the mid range BUT the base is just wonderful. I prefer Bose QuiteComfort to my Sony WF-1000xm4 when listening to Electronic Dance Music. If you plan on listening to instrumental music or vocals, jazz etc the Sony with its LDAC codac have much better and detailed sound.

    I have had the Bose Soundsport Free for about 2 years now and I ordered the Bose Quiet Comforts. If the fit is anything like the Soundsport Frees then I can assure you that it would not fall out of your ears easily. In fact it has never fell out of my ears at all and I run and workout and even play basketball with them. Keep in mind that you are supposed to give them a twist when you put them in ear. Hopefully this remains true with the Quiet Comforts. Guess I'll find out on Thursday.

      @@ccss9827 Still using it till this day and I love it! In fact, I just got back from traveling and the noise canceling on the plane was fantastic! Very comfortable and has great sound. After having it for about 10 months, the only critique that I have is the controls. I hate that you have to chose between either skipping forward on a track, or going back. Can't be both. The touch controls are also very sensitive. I can't wear a hoody with it while working out because when the hoody touches any part of the earbuds it will either skip a track or go back (depending on your settings) or it will activate voice controls. Very annoying! But Outside of that if we're talking strictly comfort and sound, it's perfect. Also great for calls and has very long range surprisingly.

  • @wkm610

    Well done Mike! Your review confirms what others haver said: namely, that Bose’s ANC is the best, but that the software lets them down. I can’t get a good fit with the AirPods Pro and was waiting for the Bose buds, but I think I’ll wait to see if the software gets better. I suspect that Bose realised they were losing out on the ANC earbud market and got these out, trusting that the software could be fixed at a later date and relying on their name and superior ANC.

    • @Frip36
      @Frip36 2 года назад +1

      I tested Bose QuietComfort vs. Sony XM4, and Bose won on ANC. Easily. Sony used a weird memory foam type material. It's supposed to form to your ear. But it doesn't. And even with fingers pressing in, Bose still wins. As another top reviewer said, with the Sony, you can still hear high freq noice. Like high pitched voices and guitars from songs on sports-bar speakers. If you haven't tried the Bose, I highly recommend you do. They are big for a reason. Their ANC is serious. If you have Amz Prime you can return them.

    Recently got the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and I absolutely love them. Soundwise I've always preferred Sennheiser over Bose, so judging just by the looks of the earbuds, form factor, battery life and the customizable options available, with the exception of the noise cancelling these have nothing over the Sennheiser.
    Though it is really good to see competition and have another option for those who have sound quality as a top priority.
