(Edit: I've been told that the QC Ultra DOES support aptX Adaptive, but it only triggers when connected to a compatible "Snapdragon Sound" certified phone, ie Nothing Phone 2. In theory aptX Adaptive should be backwards compatible with aptX Classic, but in practice the Ultra does not even support that. No wonder I couldn't get aptX to show on my S23 Ultra. Very unfortunate.)

@@c.s.11 that could be youtube, I often have this problem and it's not the channels

i flashed pixelexperience rom to my s10e and aptx HD worked on my fiio btr3. But adaptive never works with momentum 3 and overear momentum4. Sadly all custom roms dont support VOLTE i sound like fucking nokia 3310 to people so come back to stock debloated version of rom. Samsung pushes only scalable + free ldac. Nothing more.
I talked with Samsung customer care they said s23u running one ui 6 supports Qualcomm sound & official one ui 6 is dropping in 1st week of nov & it will surely support Qualcomm sound & the website of aptx will be updated later. Hopefully that's correct.
If you can install one ui beta it's stable anyways I'm using it you can try using that.
That recording of the Bose literally sounds like radio, lol
Boże was and will be shit!!!
but no chinese bot can beat Bose...😂😂😂
I really need your advice aaron, im using wf1000xm5 with iphone or should i change to android? Is the difference is too far between AAC with dsee extreme compare to LDAC on android? Thank you
Which earbuds woud you buy when using it mostly for calling in crowdy places (like hotels, airports) and windy places (like a crowded beach)? Thanks for your opinion.
Aaron torn between ultras and jabras. I have the qc 1 and brought bose ultras and had to sadly return them due to lower caller volume, electronic artificats and extremely poor mic to a level others can't hear. I really wanted it to work but had to return it after 2 weeks. Thinking of buying again. Shall i just go with jabras. I want really good sound, good mics and all day comfort. Pls help
Hi dear... Have you noticed any difference in the sound quality between the bose quietcomfort ultra and the bose quietcomfort 2?... Becouse i don't
Great comparison man. I'm not sure if you got the firmware update on sony xm5 that made the buds support spatial audio with head tracking. Please check that feature out and compare it with others.
Watching this with my soundcore liberty 4 no for 70€ - how do these buds compare to them, are they three times better as they cost three times as much?
Soundcore liberty 4 which I lost was my first experience of Spatial audio and head tracking and it was a tremendous experience. Hopefully, I find them by Gods grace. I really enjoyed music on those earbuds.
I've tested the QC 2 and Ultra and absolutely love the fit but I've read issues about the Bluetooth connection ok both. Any recommendations with earbuds with a similar fit?

Can you please review and test the Realme Air 5 Pros, heard theyre good would love to see you review it
I had another thought on mic pickup. Apparently if you're loud then they do a lot better, no surprise, but the problem is that we need to speak low-volume because we don't want anyone else to know our business. In my busy cafe today I tried the Earfun S (cheaper than Air 3 pro) soeaking low-volume and I'm not sure the test was directly equivalent for background sound but they were best for mic pickup as some commenters had noted in reviews, but I also took them on to a busy road and again they seemed to do best. If only the NC4 had the Earfun S mic pickup I would be happy.
Hi Aaron, thanks for the great review! Any chance you're planning/able to test the Huawei Freedbuds Pro 3 which were just released?
I’m wearing the AirPods Pro 2 usbc and I feel the jabra sound the best
Airpods Remind me of Sennheiser HD 600, they are not so "exciting"' but are very accurate and true to the source, with natural and very clear vocals. Bose has an unnatural a little "nasal" feel to the vocals which is kind of hollow sounding to me. Any Chance for Astell&Kern UW100 MK II? :))
Do any of these buds equal or beat the bass in the Mtw3? I know the new qc Ultra's and xm5's don't..
OnePlus buds pro 2
***Well I Heard they do
I’m so glad you mentioned the QC ultra connection issues. I had the QC Buds II for over a year, replaced 3 times! Kept having lots of different connection issues with my iPhone 14 pro max. Ended up getting a refund and got the Jabra Elite 10. I put up with the QC buds because of sound quality but the connection issues were so awful I couldn’t bear it any more.
Same. I just lost my qc II didn't look hard for them. At this price point they're garbage.
I too had issues with the QC IIs but not with the Ultras which I use multiple times a day.
@@brwa5176you will eventually. Worked well for me for a week. I’m returning them in 2 days after facing this bs connection issue

Thanks for your review! Question: With Bose, can I use ANC while wearing only one bud? When I sleep, I only put the earbud in the ear that's not on the pillow, and I need ANC.
Được bạn… 1 tai vẫn có ANC
This isnt true, it switches ANC off with 1 ear bud in @PhucZenda
Will u have a look at the Earfun Free Pro 3 ?
Is there any way you gonna review/compare bose qc ultra headphones? They seem to be the best nc today. Not to mention great sound
Which one has the absolute BEST ANC?? Im using it for long flights, I have the buds 2 pro now, they are okay, but need something with stronger ANC
Bose
Are you planning to do the Denon perl pros? 🙏
just bought elite 10, found a bug if single use this earbuds, make a call auto turn on hearthrough, its a bit annoying, anyone how to fix this ? i hate hearthrough!
Great review. The earbud is comfortable, ANC works well, and sounds very good but the frequent Bluetooth connection dop issue is making it unreliable . I'm sending my QC Ultra back to Amazon, probably going to buy the Sony XM5.
Opposite story for me. I got the Sony XM5 over the summer and while skateboarding or riding my bike audio would cut out in my left ear every minute or so. Never figured it out but lived with it until a few weeks ago when I got the Boes. So far haven't had any issues with them except for them disconnecting from the app (was still able to play music from my phone while the app didnt see them). I think I fixed the app issue by going to my phone settings and changin the Boes app to have unrestricted battery usage.
I can't find the affiliate links!? I found the Soundcore NC4 mic pickup unusable in a noisy cafe but it was ok with your extreme/windy test. Soundcore communicated with me and did a firmware update that...marginally improved it, but not enough. But then even the much much much better mic pickup on the Earfun Air pro 3 wasn't a match for my noisy cafe. It might be worth finding a noisy cafe for the real thing. I would love to see how the ibuds perform in real world noisy cafe in comparison as they seem to have the best mic pickup, perhaps excepting those Sony's (S?). My budget hasn't stretched to ibuds and I use mixed devices so I prefer the android app-compatible buds. One major qualification is that I have a low voice, not very low, but as low as those Indian reviewers who also noticed issues with the one that had a low voice like mine with the NC4s. Perhaps it's low voices that have issues. Us low voice people are likely 1/40th of the population and are being left out. Sniff :'(
Thanks for your vidéo . Your comparaison of thé différent AnC at 1,09 , and all thé other comparison point to point with the différent best earphones are very efficient and clear !

Very useful ANC comparison! I think Bose QC II is a better choice for me today (found it offered for GBP149 in the UK)!

24 bit dac does sound better

Have used all of these and have to say if you have an iPhone, there is nothing better than AirPods. Period. Even if not using iPhone, AirPods are best for daily use since they have the least bugs and balanced audio quality for most genres. Now, for pure music quality, Bose were the best but their connectivity bugs gave me a headache! (Bose - please resolve this for once, this has been going on since your previous releases). The rest Jabra, Sony & Samsung are just okay for me personally, below AirPods or Bose purely because of their wear comfort and overall nothing outstanding in terms of music output. Cheers!
I think Bose is getting rid of high stock levels by releasing this set and trying to get a little bump in sales for upcoming holidays.
I bought ultra special order. Only thing that i do not like is that you touch it pauses. It's too rich sensitive. Besides that the noise cancelation and spacial sound is LEGENDARY
Very informative video, and I like your voice tone. Thanks.

Are these loud??
After watching this video, I have decided to get the Jabra Elite 10, it checks every requirement on my list.
I guess this finally has made me decide for the Jabra Elite 10, thank you
They are great. Good choice.
You won't regret it they are the best out of these ones
I finally figured it out why people said Bose sound quality is bad. Because Bose is not fit for the fake human ear microphone. Actually when I use it I will adjust until it perfectly matches in my ear. And I have never heard that wired sound like what you were playing.
i need more explanations on this
HI. PLEASE introduce openfit model. Peace
It's really dumb, but I've had the same issue with the QC2 and Ultra. It doesn't seem to be paired, and trying to pair it again is a nightmare. However, I've found this is resolved by putting them in the case, plugging a cable up to the case, and returning 5 minutes later. Always connects right away.
I can't believe I spent $50 on their wireless charging case. I only did it because my first pair, the port came loose and fell into the case.
No Technics z80?
Out of all of these yhe jabra elite 10 are the best , and I've had all of them , cristal clear crisp sound , great bass long battery ( 10:40 hours with ANC on ) on my own test , extremely comfortable! And very secure in may ear even at the gym (once i got comply tips)

In ref to the QC Ultras: I think the immersive audio is a gimmick for me and I don’t enjoy the sound signature at all. I have to go to EQ right away and boost bass to even attempt to restore the sound signature. I like that it pushes the sound in front of me but it’s not my favourite way to listen to my music.
I think the main thing is the aptX Adaptive and Lossless and there is so little focus and testing around this. It drives me mad. The QC Ultras shouldn’t be compared to others in terms of music playback without using aptX Lossless. So, reviewers should choose a source track which is 16-bit/44.1kHz lossless and use a mobile capable of aptX Lossless. Which includes some of the latest Sony Xperias. Yes, those guys that made LDAC actually support aptX Lossless on their smartphones.
aptX Lossless dongles should hopefully surface more over the coming year for other devices that lack the relevant Qualcomm SoC. Velacy has one they’re claiming to ship in March. I’m disappointed that Bose didn’t release one at the same time as launching the QC Ultras. With the launch of the iPhone 15 with USB-C, now would have been the time. Although next year’s Qualcomm XPAN may mean we have to buy everything all over again to finally achieve Hi-Res lossless wireless freedom.
I have the wireless charging case cover for the Bose. So, I cancel out any proverbial noise about the lack of wireless charging in the standard unit.
Don’t get me started on the reviewers hitting these things because of no multipoint support. Like many people, they don’t understand that multipoint means using the same codec across all devices. This often means a drop down to SBC. These earbuds are about music playback quality experiences. Not the convenience offered by cheaper multipoint-compatible earbuds. Multipoint is not something you want if you are into audio quality.
The Sound comparing song I most liked .please send to me Spotify like or album name !!!! Thanks for included bose qc ultra..
Qc2 is 200 compared to 300 for ultra. So the decision especially if nc is 1st priority. Right?
If ANC's more important to you then yes
I'm coming from the Bose QC2, hust got the XM5 today.
The earbuds are way uncomfortable than the Bose, by a LOT! it's incredible, I wasn't expecting that.
The sound quality isn't as expected, I prefer the Bose sound, an all around more immersive and the frequency seems more calibrated (I tried to tune the XM5 but nothin comparable)
I was expection more bass, since I lika bass music, but no, the XM5 doesn't give you a lot more base, they do, but the sound distortion isn't accettable.
I'm returning them tomorrow!
Hope this helps a currrent Nose owner to avoid buying the XM5.
Keeep the QC2 or go for the QC Ultra if you don't have any!
More expensive but the ANC, fit and overall sound calibration is way better.
Just bought XM5 and my experience is completely different from yours, I find it comfortable and loud, and has a great set of microphones. I am coming from XM4 and Samsung galaxy buds

That is correct, nice catch.
I have the Bose QC Ultra Headphones and I find that watching/listening to Immersive content on my s23 ultra is good. However watching immersive content from Netflix on my streaming boxes is inferior.
They do support aptx but only on snapdragon certified devices. I have surface duo 2 and aptx doesn't work. It does for example on nothing phone 2
Welp, S23U runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It should at least support aptX classic since Adaptive is backwards compatible but it doesn't.
@@aaronloudnwireless yeah I was also thinking the same. The thing is that it's not normal aptx. Sadly this version of it is not backwards compatible or they did screw something up. Point is that it works on snapdragon certified devices only
That's unfortunate.
@@aaronloudnwireless I agree. It seems almost like false marketing. One of the reasons I got these was aptx and now I'm stuck on aac
Well, it's a learning experience for sure. Even veterans can get blindsided by this.
What is the difference between spatial audio and 3D surround sound, which I assume is the same? It would be interesting to make a comparison video about spatial audio and the difference between them on different audio devices. Which audio device actually makes spatial audio/surround sound significantly better and makes the overall sound quality better when using it for music and movies, among others.
3D sound on the Soundcore Liberty NC 4 is just an echo or reverb added to the audio in my opinion. I don't hear any 3D about it.
Found the immersive sound on the Ultras to be amazing for normal music tracks. For the others if they offer something similar it requires Atmos encoding or Sony's tiny library of music with a subscription fee. So if you listen to a lot of 'normal' music, highly recommend the Ultras. If you watch lots of movies with Atmos you might prefer something like the AirPods.
@@brwa5176 is the immersive audio on the qcu good for movies?
@@DeneF now you mentioned it sounds like an echo, reverb

Both the Jabra and AirPods seemed better with the active noise cancelling than the bose from your samples.
Yeah, but they aren't. We all know that Bose is the best when it comes to ANC. Everything else though.. is up to personal preference.
Honestly the Jabra's are a 8.5 out of 10 with noise cancellation. Bose is 9.5. Honestly I can't really tell the difference unless I really focus. But I think the Jabra's sound better overall. @@hawleyfromhell

Bose ultra is UNREAL... spacial sound and eq is insane.
theyre abt same quality, great quality
I had to return the XM5 buds because they were really uncomfortable for me and for some reason the ANC didn’t work as effectively as it should.
I got the Bose Ultras as a replacement although it was much more expensive in my country. So far I’m impressed at how well they fit me. It’s extremely comfortable and the audio quality is amazing especially on immersive mode.
Noise cancelling is probably the best I’ve experienced so far but it does have some white noise.
I think the only issue I have with them is that from time to time the sound tends to fluctuate for like a second and then goes back to normal. I’ve disconnected it from Bluetooth and paired them to my iPhone again but it hasn’t improved much. Still get that stutter now and then.
The Bose is horrible for phone calls. 60% of the sound call volume that should be heard. I had to strain to hear the other person. They couldnt hear me over the vehicle A/C blowing. I couldnt return them quick enough. This is coming from a huge Bose fan. I love love love love the sound of music otherwise. I am very Happy with the Sony XM5's after replacing the tips with aftermarket tips. The tips that come with the Sony's are uncomfortable after and hour. The Aftermarket tips available make for better comfort, better ANC, and even the music sounds better due to the fit.
Which tips did you get

In my mind the first reason you buy Bose buds it's for the ANC but alas, they were not the best in this test.
For phone calls it appears the Ultras are not the best, for private listening (not on a call) in a loud environment, I find them far superior to the rest.
They're the best apart from this test
Great review.
Thanks!
I think the AirPods Pro had the best mic quality when it was quiet. Wow.

So I'm going to take the opportunity to comment on the wind noise test that you do. It's not realistic at all no one is going to be in that situation and basically all of the earbuds fail. I don't see the point of that? I do appreciate the rest of your reviews and I watch every episode. Thank you. 💯👍🇺🇸
I think that’s the point of the test…to see what the wind noise reduction limit is and to see which is best
Thank you for your feedbak Mike. One happy benefit of the controlled tests is, I have a backlog of results stretching back years that people can cross reference today, because the tests are conducted in the same exact way. And from the tests we can see that over the years, mic pickup quality has got better for some brands, and worse in some. I should definitely find a way to incorporate more real world tests.
Aaron ,could you tell as a basic consumer who doesn’t know all the information..for them which could be the best ..?like they are a very normal consumer
Wouldn't a very normal consumer spend less and be as much android as iphone? If you can afford it, and are not worried about battery, then the ibuds are a big win, even more so with an iphone/ipad. But if on more of a budget you might like to look at Earfun Air pro 3 which has pretty decent ANC and double the battery, but needs some harsh tweaking on the EQ. Tempting is also Soundcore NC4 (also need harsh EQ tweaking) with even better ANC - I have both - but I have had major mic pickup problems that seems to affect people with low voices. I use the Earfuns for phone calls and some android tablet stuff because of the (necessary) low-latency "game mode" to sync voices in videos (youtubes, Amazon prime) on android, but Soundcore NC4 for everything else. Still half the price of ibuds, but double the battery. Regards, not Aaron.
@@lorrimang i see brother..i was saying in the case of a normal user who has the budget for high end products.i am mainly considering sony wf1000x5 since i think they are have a better sound quality than the bose but at the same time i dont know if that can be fixed with custom EQ .and this case ANC is also a big thing for the user.main issue there is no tech store that allows us to check the earpuds.

Buds 2 pro and sony mic best in noisy room
All other earbuds sound very open except bose ultra 🤦 wind performance far behind qc2 🤦 box sizes are same... Do they think they can fool customers? And for ANC, I can guess it is a little better than qc2, even though you hide the results Aaron :/
As a result, I was very dissapointed with ultra and not gonna upgrade my qc2...
For me biggest difference between QC II and Ultras is the immersive mode for music. Love it.
That for the video Aaron.
Thanks for watching!
I've used the QC2 and MX5 a lot over the last couple of months. The MX5 are better in everything other than controls and fit like you say. And I thought maybe ANC like every content creator seems to believe. But raw data says the MX5s are actually better with highs and lows than basically every other bud out there, both Bose buds too. Aregina is the channel, worth checking out, but as he says it may be the Bose being more consistent with why people believe it better. My personal take is the MX5 are better in a cafe or a gym with loud music, but the QC2 are better walking near a busy street, I think the key is in the changes. As for sound the QC2 is not bad and very enjoyable, but the MX5 is just another class.
this helped me a lot. Thanks
Bose sound nowhere near to sony and jabra..what a messs that company heading too...
true.. and the suddenly drop of bluetooth really annoying..
Absolutely. And not just on earphones, I feel the headphones (nc700) was such a big let down for me. Sony’s cheaper models are way better than bose.
@@singhsanjeetI've got the nc700, my most used headphones ever and still going strong. They replaced my Sony headphones which were very muddy and overly bassy in comparison. Ease of use, excellent ANC and audio quality and longevity are why I've continued with the Bose nc700. It doesn't need to replaced, reliability is excellent (though there are now some better devices). The Sony wfxm5 are excellent. I hope Sony though doesn't loose its way z and in particular for mobile phones as they are one of the few to support decent audio quality on their phones.

It’s weird that everyone said the qc ultra anc is the best right now but what i hear on this channel it seems the airpods pro did the best?!?🤷🏻 also when i’m at the store testing I think the sound quality is much better than i hear now on this channel.
I also want to share my bad experience with sony the connectivity with my iPhone is the worst. And right now the right ear bud just won’t change. It’s the most short life the most annoying earbuds i have ever own.
So i swear no more sony
Just got the ultra, sounds amazing with immersive sound.. will continue to test them throughout the week.
I love my jabras!!!
Got the Ultra's and highly recommend them. Have the QC IIs, the AirPods Pro, and XM4s and XM5s and the Ultras are my favorite by far. For noise cancelling the both the Bose are top notch. For audio quality I rate the AirPods the worst and the Sony's as slightly better than the Ultras, BUT. When I turn on immersive mode on the Ultras they blow away the Sony's in my opinion. Sony also offers an immersive equivalent, but it requires a subscription and the music supporting their approach is tiny. Regarding wireless charging I got the wireless outercase and it works as expected. Regarding multipoint don't think the AirPods works unless all Apple devices and for Sony their multipoint only supports two devices and I have three so not missing much with the Bose.
I think ear shape/size can be a factor. The Bose fit perfectly with the best noise cancelling and audio by far, for my ears. Also the Bose take no time to insert in ears but not so for the Sony's.

They are promoting their own SSC codec
In crowded places it might be needed (needs less bandwidth), but if you don't have this need then I'm betting original Aptx and/or AAC etc are indistinguishable in double-blind testing. Even 192kbps mp3s passed double-blind testing against SACD (part of its failure) and FLAC, and why Amazon used to sell mp3s at 192kbps; it's all hifi nonsense for marketing. I'm also suspecting AAC uses less bandwidth than even AptX adaptive, in part explaining why Apple feels no need to support anything else; but I would need to look it all up again as I've forgotten.
How come you say Jesus
