I have to say the ANC & call quality goes to Bose clearly by listening to this... I personally like the Bose sound signature but I would concede that the Senheiser sounds really good. I purchased the Bose because of the eartip and fit. I own the Sony and Technics, both are very good but the fit of the Bose wins for me!
How well do the Bose work now that you’ve had time to use them? Is the fit still as snug as before? I really want to invest in the Bose for its ANC but the size is off putting. However, the Sennheiser also looks like they will fall put of my ears... And the fact that Sennheiser is clearly the winner when it comes to sound according to this review. Both have their pros and cons!

What a scholarly and a super accurate review! I am a life long Bose fan but have a lot of respect for the Sennheisers. This video did it for me and I am going to buy my first pair of the Sennheisers. I already own the Bose Quiet Comfort but I don't want to miss the chance to experience better audio :)
@@carinehugz9344 Hey There Friend, I ended up getting the SENNHEISER CX Plus True Wireless to compliment the Bose Quiet Comforts which I already own. The SENNHEISER CX Plus True Wireless was the better bang for my money compared to the Momentum 2s. They're super lightweight and a pleasure to listen content with, if they're used as designed. To directly answer your question first, if the competition is to compare "audio quality alone", for me the winner would be Sennheiser. I say this because I was able to experience a richer and a more detailed audio quality from music which I was surprisingly not able to experience (as much at least) with the Bose Quiet Comforts. That being said, if phone call quality and microphone quality mean 'anything' to you, then I would suggest that you go for the Bose Quiet Comfort. Ultimately this is such a personal choice because some may only care for audio quality, while people like me may care for both audio quality and phone call/microphone quality. The Bose Quiet Comforts are definitely heavier in one's ears when compared with the Sennheisers. But they deliver 'unparalleled' noise cancellation even during phone calls. The music on the Bose Quiet Comforts is also a pleasure to listen to. However, the Sennheisers will give you just "an extra boost" of instrument separation and a more theatrical experience than the Bose Quiet Comfort can. Note that the Bose Quiet Comfort gives you a very powerful and a commanding bass. Hope the information was helpful. As a fan of Bose products, I am surely humbled by the Sennheisers. Let me know how it goes. Enjoy and I am glad that you are treating yourself to good sound! 👌
This just happened after I replied to you. Bose released the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II! Between this and the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 , you will have fun picking one. Based on what I've seen so far the points I made above still hold good. Bose has a fantastic, "No questions asked" 90-day free trial so if you go with the Bose do use it. Good luck!
@@bamdadmedia thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I was initially going to go with the Bose QC cause I use the call function just as much as I listen to music. Now that you mentioned they released a newer version, I think I just might wait to get those. Tc bud x
I was waiting for the Bose to come out with ANC earbuds for years dealing with the SoundSport Free leaving a lot to be desired in terms of connectivity. I had almost given up and I was looking at the Sonys but I am glad these came out before I pulled the trigger. I had to pass over the Sennheisers because of the stability of ear fit. I need headphones that will stay in my ears for runs, bike rides and at the gym and the Sennheisers just don't grab the inner ear like the Bose and that's a huge liability to worry about flying out of your ears. I am sacrificing that extra sound quality for practical use, but even listening to the comparison in this video, I am so tempted to pick up the Sennheisers to have for high-quality home use... they sound just stunning. Need to resist the urge to drop another $250 on my 4,325th pair of headphones. Here's hoping Bose builds in the EQ features into the app to tweak up their already very serviceable sound profile! Excellent review!!
Lol we both have a problem with buying too many ear buds. I must have worse hearing than you, it was hard for me to pick the sound difference in the music. That being said I’d definitely pick the Bose for security in my ear. Making calls doesn’t matter to me because there isn’t an earbud on earth that people can hear me well with. I came from AirPod pros and the noise canceling and passive noise is superior on the Bose I feel. May the force be with you!
@@FMFeast I had the 65t and still have the 75t and the 85h and they have just about every feature: water resistance, 2 year warranty, all the features including volume, which I don't know why anybody wouldn't have volume controls built into wireless earbuds and can be connected to two devices at once. And now they just give their customers from last year's earbuds ANC for nothing. Sounds like a pretty decent company to me.
@@curtis2472 One of the disappointment to me is that Jabra promised to make their earbuds work independently on the next firmware update of Jabra 75t since the very first release but wouldn't. I owned Active 65t and really liked it, but Jabra is missing something that keeps me going back.
Interesting comparison. I've never tried noise cancelling devices before and, as a result, found the effects of the speed of your speech very telling in the quiet mode which I assume is being digitally manipulated (taken apart and reassembled, hopefully, without noise). Makes me think there must be a significant difference in their sample rates maybe? Assuming that info is available...Just curious.
a really helpful review it is. I was thinking to buy Bose QC earbuds because of the powerful ANC. But the sound quality is incomparable. I still want the wireless charge function though. I think I am sticking to my MTW1 for awhile. I hope Sennheiser would add the wireless charge function in their 3rd model.
What sound Sennheiser MTW 1 or 2? I have the first and wondering if I should upgrade. I know the MTW 2 have better battery life with no drain and ANC. But what about sound?
Of all the earbuds you could've compared, you chose 2 of the most expensive ones on the market... the sennheiser mtw2 and bose qc costs around USD$300-350 each, which is waaaaaaaay too expensive for a pair of truly wireless earbuds. You're better off getting a set of headphones for that kind of price.
Excellent review! I have the SM2. They have good sound but poor ANC. For me it is not a problem because they have quite good passive isolation and I do not need ANC. I don't understand how can you say that it has good ANC however. :)
I just purchased my very 1st earbuds, the Senn M2. However, i find that the volume is not enough for me. Compared it to my wired AKG headphone and that is louder. Is that normal that even cheap wired headphones to have higher volumes than these expensive earbuds? Would i have the same experience if i'd purchased bose QC instead of this Senn M2?
Hi, i want to know bout the music quality test through the iphone and android. Actually, any big differences btw those? As i know there is no aptx support for android. Only SBC. Does it will lose the music quality when using SBC format if compare with iphone? Thx so much!
If you want audio quality, Sennheiser blows the Bose out of the water. No comparison whatsoever. Call quality and noise cancelling too is much better on the Sennheiser. The cool look that Sennheiser offers is the icing on the cake. Overall, Sennheiser definitely wins in my opinion! PS: I value sound quality over all else.
@Vagabond Hello, yes I feel the ANC is better on the Sennheiser. Perhaps it's something to do with the way they fit me. Don't take anyone's word for it though. Do try them for yourself. You never know what you may like and feel about both these after actually trying them. Personally, I use brands like Shure, Sennheiser, Bose, and Beyerdynamic with my priority being sound quality. What I've learnt for myself is that with music playing (even at a low volume) the minor differences in ANC stop mattering. The sound signature and quality definitely matter though (at any volume level). After having used all these various brands, I have now formed an opinion that Bose definitely doesn't have the best sound quality and overall value too (perhaps there was a time when they did). When I hadn't used other brands, I felt Bose was the best. Lastly, sound signature preferences are very subjective too. So I think it all comes down to trying and picking what works best for you, not what the manufacturer says is industry leading.
Noise canceling MUCH better than the Bose.. I own the QC and you can hear literally nothing when ANC is switched on, and absolutely every review on internet goes in the same way. Bose is leader in anc
@@bridew I am glad w're both enjoying our different purchases - you your QCs and me my MTW2s. I personally decide what to buy after trying things out no matter what the reviews say. The reviews definitely help but they're just one factor instead of the only or final factor for me.
The Sennheiser sound quality is actually a V curve by default, whereas the Bose is a true flat curve representing all frequencies alike as recorded. Don’t confuse good souding with accurate sound. Keep in mind the Bose has the best ANC of any earbuds in thr market and what that means is that they are capable of producing every sound frequency “accurately” that one can encounter in real life. The Sennheiser or any other earbud doesn’t even come close.
First song on audio sample has strong midrange on the Sennheisers. The second song is more accurate and clear on the Bose. I think that the audio quality will vary with the song. This especially true because Bose has added an equalizer. The audio quality is very close with the Bose default equalizer settings that are more flat. The Sennheiser equalizer settings are tuned for higher midrange. The Bose overall sounds cleaner to me, but both have terrific sound quality. I own the Bose and the Sennheisers sound really good in comparison. The Bose ANC hands-down is better than the Sennheisers - it's not even close.

Hi ..really good video...i am in a precarious situation...so i wanted to ask you if you can help me out... I want a pair of Good noise cancelling earbuds and if i have to pay a hefty sum then obviously i would like a good music experience too... so it all comes down to sony xm3 senheiser momentum 2 and bose...so i wanted to ask you: that to a student(not interested in phone call quality i have air pods pro for that)) who wants to block surrounding noises as well as construction noises(to some extent like to push it away if not suppress it) ..which one would you recmnd...is bose earbuds best choice in terms of portability and earbuds category ?... Now other question is if bose earbuds is the best choice then does it compete with bose qc 35 II also? How much is the difference between the two(obviously bose nc 700 and sony xm 4 is of the same price range but i am interested in paying more for earbuds than headphone and qc 35 II is cheap)... does qc 35 II really worth compromising portability or there is not much difference between the two... Thanks
After watching so many videos about earbuds. Most people said SM2 is the best one. I had bose quietcomfort earbuds, and now i did buy SM2 as well. To be honest, the bose has a better quality of sound signature. Bose sounds are much more open, way more bass, and also clear vocal. If u listen, the sound from apple devices. U can see the actual performance. Sennheiser is good but not good enough to bose.
The huge fatal flaw that everybody misses except one reviewer who acknowledged was LOW VOLUME on the Senns. You can't even hear them at 50% volume? You have to max out your device's volume control for these to even start to sound good? The sensitivity/efficiency is so bad that you start to blame your device. What I get maxed out with the Senns is what I get with the Sony xm3's at 65%? It is an embarrassment. An average recording can turn a $300 set into a $50 one. The Momentum's desperately need tracks with an extreme level of dynamic range for them to sound even half their asking price. The Sony XM3s are head and shoulders above these with more consistent performance with ALL music. Put a Shure SE846 set in your ears and you will realize that going above half volume could actually damage your hearing with their high efficiency. Can't get best sound quality with LOW VOLUME.
Hi EBPMAN Thank you for the vide. I have to say something here... I think the sound is very personal choice and I hear the same compare test with the same music in another channel (I will find it to post the link) and it doesn't sound like the one here. I bought both of these and the Bose are a huge disappointment and the Bose case is NOT easy to open up. If you're spending the money I would buy the Sennheiser Momentum 2
Hey Allan I own them both also and agree that the case on the Bose is a bit of a challenge to open. However the ANC is crazy, fitment is amazing and the sound is crystal clear, with that being said the MW2 warm sound and rich bass just kills any other bud in the sound department
IMPORTANT! READ THIS. Could you please start including incoming voice quality test during phone calls as well? Why? I have used several TW earvuds. I bought the momentum TW2 earbuds thinking now that the firmware update fixed mic quality, these are the best for Android. BuT no! Incoming voice, the other person's voice is all over the place and has terrible quality. Not acceptable at this price point. How can that part even be screwed up so badly. Jabra 75t had only small but annoiying distortion in the slave bud. That is why I returned them as I did with the M TW2.. same problem with online calls so it is not about my s20+ Samsung. YHIS IS IMPORTANT aspect. No reviewer seems to test incoming call quality. Samy's buds+ is totally clean. Luckily I got my mobey back as returbed as DOA. Sennheiser did not even test them. If they did I did not get my money since it is not a fault but nature and reality with these "top of the line" buds. no respect for Sennheiser for screwing up such a basic thing as voice quality. Getting so angry. Otherwise a perfect pair of TW buds. Now let's wait for Jabra 85t.
@EBPMAN I really appreciate the effort you put into your reviews. Thankyou! I was looking for the best sound and effective ANC. Based on this review Momentum 2 has looked to be perfect so I returned my Bose QC Earbud and picked up Momentum 2. Sound quality is crisp and i really enjoy is better than Bose , although Bose seemed to have much better bass, however, I was shocked that the ANC is almost non-existent in Momentum 2, which was supposed to be 'good' per this review. I feel you have might have an unconscious bias for Sennhiesers to give their ANC as 'good'. I might now be returning the Sennhieser and picking up Bose once again. :(

Do you think the bose have better volume and audio than the momentum when on a phone call?
@@BeautifulLove8888 my comment was strictly based on the audio test in this video... As I stated, I like the Bose sound signature and call quality wise, it works really well. I would say that I think the sound stage on the Sennhiser is a bit funky... Didn't have separate left and right channels... Again, this is based on the audio clip on this video
@@richmck007 I love the Bose... I forget that I have them on... No problem with them... As I stated to another individual in this thread, I personally like the Bose sound signature!
Just bought those Sennheisers, looking forward to receiving them! Great review!
Same here just ordered them ouch 300$
@@Shredder-KJ just got it today, how you guys feel about the earpods?!
Mine arrived today. Love them! The sound quality is even better than what I expected.
Great review and comparison! I have the Bose QC earbuds and like everything about them except the terrible button to open the charging case. It is almost impossible to open if the user has limited manual dexterity. In future reviews I would love to see you critique the cases as to their rate of difficulty to open. Keep up the great work!
Dude thanks for this presentation, it really helped my decision.✌
Check out the galaxy buds pro too.

@@latreyjefferson5535 I haven't pulled trigger yet been to busy traveling but when I get back home I will go for the sennheiser's.

Impressive review! Great job!
in the second song the bose does not capture the piano the sennheiser yes, bose has marked bass the sennheiser let the instruments be heard then it is a matter of which music you enjoy more ...
Which one is better for running?
Wish everyone could do this. I want to hear the sound quality comparison. The Bose have way more bass than the Sennheiser. That's what I want for the Gym.
after watching this review I see that Sennheiser is only better in sound signature. And Bose is has better design, comfort and the Noise Canceling ..so I will get buy me Bose for sure..
Bose kill it in noisy call test, Senns kill it in sound test although Bose sound v good as well
Have you notice that the senheisser recording was strange. Right earbud is louder, but bose recordig was great. Vocal sit in the middle.
Yes that's what I heard also.
Great review, would love for you to compare the Bose Quietcomfort to the new MW08's.
Which one has better comfort and stability for longer hours usage and outdoor runs
Based on what he said and others, I’m going with the Bose for comfort, stability when exercising. If sound quality is the chief motivator I’ll listen to earmuffs or the stereo
If u did end up getting Sennheiser, which one’s better in ur opinion?
Tc bud x
@@carinehugz9344 My pleasure. Enjoy your new purchase!
Love your reviews
Which earbuds do u recommend overall in2020
Some wired Phillips
Both extremely nervous with the arrival of the XM4s...
Who do you record the Earphone sound?
Jabra elite 75t just got ANC can you please review them?
Review is complete and will go live tomorrow at 6am
They are wack don’t buy jabra I had a really bad experience with those earbuds..
@@FMFeast I have to disagree I think Jabra has some of the best bang for your buck.
Is the Sennheiser waterproof?
Good for running?
Can you use these in the dry sauna?
No.
Amazing comparison.
a really helpful review it is. I was thinking to buy Bose QC earbuds because of the powerful ANC. But the sound quality is incomparable. I still want the wireless charge function though. I think I am sticking to my MTW1 for awhile. I hope Sennheiser would add the wireless charge function in their 3rd model.
Sound quality is a no contest, Sennheiser beats everything else comfortably
Ummm that’s VERY subjective

The only test the bose won here was the noisy call quality test.
The whole call quality test went to Bose which is unfortunately a knock-out criterium for me because that is the part where you make money.
and anc go to bose sennheriser 2 still has problem when it update
Sennheiser MTW still king.
I dunno about really doing a sound comparison without actually putting them in your ears ... but over all the review is thorough
Nice vid man
Which one between the two have a higher volume level at 100%?.
I would say Bose ,in my opinion MTW2 provides lower volume than many earbuds.
But it’s still acceptable.
what wer the names of those song?
What about volume all the way up and distortion??
Id like your playlist !
Excellent review! I have the SM2. They have good sound but poor ANC. For me it is not a problem because they have quite good passive isolation and I do not need ANC. I don't understand how can you say that it has good ANC however. :)
With sound I use Spotify and didn't know u could turn it up louder in setting, sometimes it depends on what u use to listen to music,
Superb review
whats the tiny hole on he right sinnheiser ?
Might be an LED light indicating charge.
what do i go for when it comes to pure sound quality? not going for bass, more for melody
Sennheiser imo
I just purchased my very 1st earbuds, the Senn M2. However, i find that the volume is not enough for me. Compared it to my wired AKG headphone and that is louder. Is that normal that even cheap wired headphones to have higher volumes than these expensive earbuds?
Would i have the same experience if i'd purchased bose QC instead of this Senn M2?
I find the qc are not loud enough. Most earbuds have limitations in audio due to hearing damage
EBPMAN Tech Reviews The sound is really great. Its just the volume. Thank you.
Hi, i want to know bout the music quality test through the iphone and android. Actually, any big differences btw those? As i know there is no aptx support for android. Only SBC. Does it will lose the music quality when using SBC format if compare with iphone? Thx so much!

Any one know the title of the 2nd song and the female artist who sings it
It called Generic - by Generic Artist.
Candelion (feat Greylyn) - Hate Being Away from You
Can somebody please name those 2 songs which is there in the sound quality test in this video
They look better tho!
@@SameerTangri Actually I'm am neither happy with the Bose that I find too massive nor the Airpods Pro that are really uncomfortable..
Which one you best for watching movies?
Good question
The Sennheiser sound quality is actually a V curve by default, whereas the Bose is a true flat curve representing all frequencies alike as recorded. Don’t confuse good souding with accurate sound. Keep in mind the Bose has the best ANC of any earbuds in thr market and what that means is that they are capable of producing every sound frequency “accurately” that one can encounter in real life. The Sennheiser or any other earbud doesn’t even come close.
Is the Sennheiser water proof?
Good for running?
Can you use these in the dry sauna?
First song on audio sample has strong midrange on the Sennheisers. The second song is more accurate and clear on the Bose. I think that the audio quality will vary with the song. This especially true because Bose has added an equalizer. The audio quality is very close with the Bose default equalizer settings that are more flat. The Sennheiser equalizer settings are tuned for higher midrange. The Bose overall sounds cleaner to me, but both have terrific sound quality. I own the Bose and the Sennheisers sound really good in comparison.
The Bose ANC hands-down is better than the Sennheisers - it's not even close.
The sennheiser sound is biased to the right!!!
Yeah I wonder if he did the test correctly cause he only had the Sennheiser earbud in the right ear, so maybe he did the same for the test?
Getting a set of the Senns based on your Review, if I use a set of comply secure fit foam buds, would you think in theory they would be ok for gym work if I’m not doing summersaults 🙂
Enjoy your reviews, I maybe wrong but I was under the impression the button on the the Sennheiser case is not for pairing as you said but only for battery level of the case.
You're right! It's only for battery level.
To me it seems the Bose have a better bass quality, but the senn have better voice quality and sound quality but not as much as bass
The Bose sound clearer and louder than in this sample but maybe is about the recording. Thanks again for the video!

Wow both earbuds sound quality are wayyy better than Jabra 85T
As I heard Bose might not sound as good but the call quality it’s better
I feel the sound in sennheiser the right one is higher than left. Overall sennheiser audio quality is more clear and wide than bose , but it lacks the bass😔😔
Sennheiser's volume is VERY LOW if you are out in the open... Can't talk about the BOSE, since I haven't tried them...
Sennheiser totally won this battle!

I only use mine for music and love my Sennheiser BUT am appalled by the EQ in its App, only 3 bands? are you kidding me? that's not a premium design
Is there so much difference regarding ANC between them ?
I own both and God yes, the Bose is the clear champion in the ANC department!
@@BeauDapro can you pls comment on the audio quality difference between them. The Sennheiser sound so much better in this comparison video. The Sennheiser sound better has more depth more real more natural, but Liberty 2 Pro is even better.
Hi can tell which one volume louder?
I bought both of these and the Bose are a huge disappointment and the Bose case is NOT easy to open up. If you're spending the money I would buy the Sennheiser Momentum 2
Hey Allan I own them both also and agree that the case on the Bose is a bit of a challenge to open. However the ANC is crazy, fitment is amazing and the sound is crystal clear, with that being said the MW2 warm sound and rich bass just kills any other bud in the sound department
@@BeauDapro hi can tell which one volume louder?
IMPORTANT!
I have both, this isnt true.
God. Senn sound damn much better. At least to my taste. No wonder people praised it compared to sony and bose.
Can u make a review of bowers and wilkins px7 headphone?
