Yes! That was the best part of the prequels! I still love watching their bts footage, they had so much fun together. Obviously more fun than Obi Wan and Anakin ever had after watching the show!
Hayden Christensen on big talk show is the highlight of the year. That man has been away too long. He is literally the perfect example of a leading man anyone can ask for. Tall, Handsome, funny, and a really good actor. I really hope he acts in more things outside of Star Wars because he’s seriously such an underrated actor. Would love to see him work with a big director like Scorsese, Fincher, or Villeneuve. Also a standalone Vader series would be perfect.
Can you imagine if this is his big comeback into the industry and suddenly he is everywhere?! It would be amazing to see him finally get the roles that he always deserved!!
@@hector60938 clearly u have only seen attack of the clones and some questionable scenes in revenge of the sith. Movies like shattered glass are amazing and highlight he is a good actor, and if u watch the behind the scenes on the prequels u can actually see he is doing exactly what george lucas wanted, so his portrayal is not entirely his fault. His career isn’t defined by one role
When he said “You didn’t kill Anakin…I did”. Oh man, the chills and the horror, mixed with the sadness that was evoked. Such a huge talent. He deserves many accolades.
It's was good scene but I've noticed American comics, adaptions and other media all have shitty fights and weak or confusing power system so a decent fight scenes seems to blow ya minds away. Espically one that has emotions too it or furthers the story, while in anaime that a common ass trope.
@@plantday4680 "blow ya minds away". Nah. We do have good fight scenes in movies, quite alot actually. This was a good scene, if you think so or not. as to what most people think. Opinions are opinions TBF.
@@plantday4680 Couldn’t sound more snobbish if you tried. But there it is, everyone! Looks like we “easily impressed ” American/Western cinema fans have been lying to ourselves all this time! Hayden was both terrifying and heartbreaking as Anakin/Vader. Incredible scene - both the fighting and the dialogue - between him and Ewan in this finale.
The light of the sabers reflecting on his face was also very intriguing. He started by sort of "comforting" Obi-Wan while having a blue light on his face, but when he started threatening Obi-Wan, his own saber (red light) reflected on his face. A small detail that I really liked
Glad to see him get some spotlight and not just Ewan. After all the hate and criticism over the last 15 years, to see him get a ton of warm welcomes and praise he must be feeling very loved and validated now (as he should)
Not gonna lie, the vocal minority of Star Wars fans ruin every release. Hayden never deserved the backlash, neither did Jake Lloyd. They played a role and both did fantastic jobs with what they were asked to do. Fanboi's are infamously fickle, they always have been hypercritical.
Moses Ingram will get the same treatment that Hayden got. Give it 10 years. People will then open their eyes, then they'll give her a ton of warm welcomes.
Hayden deserves EVERY ounce of praise he is getting. His performance as Vader absolutely blew me away, and I got choked up at that final scene so much.
I LOVE HIM. EVERY 2000S KID LOVES HIM. HE'S OUR ANAKIN!!! Such a nice thing to see him come back! Playing all the games, watching Clone Wars, this man right here is THE MOST POWERFUL JEDI/FORCE USER. Nobody and I mean NOBODY can tell me otherwise.
Hayden received so much unwarranted hate at such a young age for just merely being an actor. I think most people would’ve stepped down completely from acting. Pretty awesome to see Hayden well and about these days!
@@queenb2450 You’re right! It is tough to witness a young actors career derail sort of speak. I think the onslaught of criticism comes with the territory when you play an iconic character, but people in general should be a lot more considerate.
The final scene between him and Ewan in Obi Wan Kenobi was incredible. You know Hayden is in the suit, but when you just see a small part of his face when is helmet is sliced open, the numerous emotions he emits is just incredible. A fine actor.
I've loved hayden since clone wars too. Really annoyed by people thinking " oh now the latest star wars trilogy is shit let's go back to liking the second trilogy" like Fack you
Facts my favorite episode is episode 3. I never got the people that said the trilogy was bad, I immensely enjoyed the movies growing up and still do. The fall of Anakin is truly a greek tragedy and is so sad.
honestly to me he IS Vader. not by himself, of course. him, David Prowse (RIP) and James Earl Jones are all Vader just like how Anakin and Vader are two different people living in the same body
He "long deserved" this serie? Bro, he deserve more than this piece of shit called Obi Wan... It coulded be really good but Disney... Well Disney is just Disney...
People don't give Hayden enough credit. His Anakin in Revenge of the Sith really looked like he was slowly being engulfed by darkness, like a sickness. And that scene in Obi Wan Kenobi was heartbreaking, especially the part where he said "Anakin is gone, I am what remains", with his original voice fading into the Darth Vader voice it absolutely destroyed me lol. He was so far gone only his son could bring him back to the light.
It's too bad Lucas writing for his motivation and turn to Darkside was so underwhelming, dude just killed Mace Windu and goes "yes master," "I'm like that's it, WHAT THE FUCK?"
“People don’t give Hayden enough credit” enough with this fucking take already. EVERYONE appreciates Hayden now. The hate for the prequels and Hayden’s performance in the movies have long dried up.
@@WheeledHamster For me it wasnt killing Windu, this was just the point of no return. His turn began way sooner, when Shmi died in his arms, he totally let loose all the fear and hate and used his superior skills to butcher the sandpeople, women, children, everyone, out of pure revenge, he enjoyed it and his eyes shown the first flicker of the Sith colour. Even Yoda felt that moment lightyears away. This was the moment he began his turn and Vader was in the making. And I dont judge him for that. To control that explosion of grief and hate even a Jedi Master would have struggled.
The moment he says, "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker... I did" with an absolutely satanic grin behind the mask is one of Hayden's most brilliant performances. Just goes to show what he can do with proper writing and direction. EDIT: concerning the "proper writing and direction" comment, I only had this sequence in mind and not the entire series. I think the dialogue, albeit short, is beautifully written and the duel masterfully executed and shot.
Yeah, that one line is going to go down in Star Wars legend, regardless of what anybody thinks of the show as a whole. Did you notice too that the reflective light from the lightsabers on his face changes from blue to red at this point? That was the moment you knew that Anakin was definitely gone.
That was always one of Hayden's strengths. In the prequels he had to deal with some corny dialogue but when it came down to showing emotion with his facial expressions, he was always on point.
@@fd6661 Well Vader was overall well executed and the Kenobi-Vader altercations were really good and the last duel especially , the rest of the show is nonchalant
Hayden is so calm and down to earth, not the slightest high on himself. He seems to be up there with the likes of Keanu Reeves as one of the nicest guys in the business.
@@TheHdubs that is true. Where he grew up is not far from where I live both Keanu and Hayden. Although Hayden was born in BC Vancouver he grew up in Ontario
This man literally has the most emotionally fuelled “I hate you” in any movie ever. Chills every time. Glad he’s back I would love to see more darth and obi
The way he says Obiwan at the end was also raw rage and hate. The last one actually made me genuinely nervous/anxious which rarely happens when one has dialogue in a movie or tv show. You could feel the gut wrenching pain from it.
@@jongbong1912 doubt you could have delivered it any better ☠️ how else do you expect a person to yell when they are literally being burned alive...? If you're in agony begging for mercy, of course you would sound like an infant. What a fucking ignoramus you are.
this decade making me nostalgic we got tobey maguire back as spider-man, patrick stewart as professor x and hayden christensen as anakin skywalker aka darth vader
He had some bad scenes in the prequels but when you look back he acted how many would if they were essentially stolen from their mom and told to suppress any emotions and connections they had. So the outbursts, challenging and ego are all natural and expected.
Hayden IS Anakin. I'm so happy he's finally getting the love and respect he has always deserved. If anyone hated on this man for the prequels, shame on you. He executed his role PERFECTLY
Loved Anakin as a kid. As an adult I feel sad over what people are saying, as I am personally very attached to Hayden's portrayal of Anakin, and also appreciate it a ton. I could never see anyone else play Anakin, and I feel like he is the only one who could've ever pulled it off, too. I wouldn't want Anakin to be any other way, and seeing Hayden finally be praised for his role brings love to my heart. Anakin Christensen forever.
right?! i never understood the hate towards him/his performance. i think people just needed something to hate. his acting was great because you really didn't like him and could see how he got more and more hateful. i think he did a brilliant job.
@@chunkee92 A lot of it was disappointment at the prequels channelled towards the weakest link. I mean he was forced to say some of the worst of that godawful dialogue. Not that the absurd hatred of the prequels was justified either, good lord they were just movies lol
Hayden deserves the world. He really is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever seen. It’s ironic because he’s playing one of the most feared and evil characters in fiction
That’s why I can’t believe people are hating on this series in the same way the critics trashed the Prequels. We are so lucky to have this show. Doesn’t mean that you have to blindly love it, but at least appreciate that Hayden and Ewan could have wanted nothing to do with Star Wars ever again, but decided to come back and make this for the fans.
Just spent an hour going through all the comments and I’m so happy to see all the love for Hayden, which he absolutely deserves. For me, he is the perfect Anakin. 100% my favourite character in Star Wars, because of whom Ep3 is my favourite film hands down. The way Hayden portrayed him and his emotional anguish still brings me to tears no matter how many times I’ve seen the film. I hope he knows how many of us love him and the prequels.
Hayden seems like a ridiculously chill guy. It’s cool that he seems pretty humble especially starring in a huge franchise like Star Wars where you have a lot of pressure put on you by both fans and critics
To be fair, if I was the guy that got cast as DARTH FREAKING VADER and was the person who most people recognized as the definitive Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader I'd dress like Darth Vader a lot too.
Hayden seems like such a cool, humble, down to earth guy. Really proud of him coming back to this role and killing it. Hayden, James, and Ewan all killed it and The final scene of them was amazing acting by all three. I want a Vader Show with Hayden and James before it's too late.
Yes! I hope they bring Hayden back for more Star Wars projects. Would be amazing to see him as Anakin in clone wars - he is still young enough to pull it off and for it to be believable. And also as Vader of course
Man, I usually don't care about things like this, but seeing Hayden finally getting respect he deserves, it is honestly heartwarming, him as Anakin was my childhood hero and I actually wanted to be like Anakin when I grow up, always wanted to whack some younglings. But jokes aside, him and Ewan and the rest of the cast made my childhood awesome. I hope we get to see more of him.
I drove nearly 5 hours just to meet Hayden at a convention last fall. It was worth every second. This man is simply the sweetest! So glad he’s getting the love he’s always deserved ❤️

And then like learning years later is still kinda upsetting and yea it’s still stupid when you do what your told and still get blasted for it
As a Gen X/Millennial, the main issue I have with the Star Wars prequels is the writing, especially the dialogue. Episodes 1 and 2 were pretty bad, and Episode 3 was a bit better but still not good. A lot of the lines were cringy and a bit off, but that's not the actor's fault. Hayden Christensen did the best he could with what he was given, and he's actually a pretty damn good actor. The overall story, premise, scope, and vision of the prequels are amazing, but I just wish they had given better dialogue to him and the other actors, and maybe had a different director.
People misdirected their hatred. Hayden is phenomenal. He’s down to earth. He’s all about his kid. His fans. Everything that he is is what people in Hollywood should strive to be. The hatred should have been towards the terrible writing, not the person conveying what was written. 🥺 Hoping we see more Hayden in the near Star Wars future.
Yeah, let's be honest. George Lucas can not write dialogue. Great storyteller, great filmmaker, but his dialogue reads like a 7 year old boy playing with action figures. "I am too strong, you can not defeat me! Pew pew!"

He is a really good guy and very likeable. He just happens to be horrible in episode 2 and 3. But much better in Obi-wan in the little screen time he had.
@@TheRivrPrncess For real? Hey, I'm a big Hayden fan but the writing for him was terrible. If you need examples "No, it's because I'm so in love with you." or "I hate sand, it's coarse and gets everywhere." Or "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!" Or "I wish I could wish away my feelings."
Ewan McGregor made this show possible, but Hayden coming back to reprise Vader was something truly special. Their scenes together were the best the show had to offer, kudos.
I like that the more Hayden shows up in camera, he's showing to be more comfortable. Like at the beginning of the Obi Wan tour, he was so nervous and barely spoke, but in this interview, he's relaxed, he's talkative, showing that he sees the love he's getting, and he deserves it, especially being one of the best characters in Star Wars.
the prequels kinda killed his vibe for all the hate he got and he probably thought it could happen again and it would hit twice as hard at this stage in his career after such a long time in between the star wars parts
Well makes sense given the absolute, and total crap he faced, which some persists to this day. I'm just happy that even people who still don't like the films have learned that they were part of a toxic reaction to the actors that caused a lot of pain to them, and are trying to make up for that. A little late, but I'm here for it, and Hayden seeing the love.
It makes me so happy that Hayden and the prequels are finally getting the love they deserved to begin with. Sucks they had to wait until the kids that grew up with the prequels became adults. So grateful and happy Ewan and Hayden both decided to come back and play our favorite duo ❤️
I love Hayden and Ewan and I was really looking forward to this series. It’s just too bad the writing sucks and it should have been called The Reva and Leia show. Way to ruin another favorite character Disney!
@@gardendancing1012 I guess I don’t see it the same way as you (which is totally okay and valid and I can see why you think that way). I actually didn’t mind Reva or Leia. I’ve always loved the prequels as a kid. After ther kenobi series, I rewatched both 1 and 2. But couldn’t get past 2. Sadly, it was my favorite because it was the first Star Wars movie I’ve watched for when it came out. I think it aged terribly. But how Hayden captured Anakins emotions when Shmi died was perfect. You can see the first glimpse of Anakin turning to the dark side.
As one of the kids who grew up with the prequels (and Special Editions, don't forget those), I'm really happy about that. I was 17 when Revenge of the Sith came out and me and my friend met in the theater with lightsabers. It was awesome! Been defending Hayden and also Ahmed Best since then on forums, arguing with people who think they are correct and couldn't understand why I loved the prequels. Now however I'm one of those that didn't appreciate the new sequel trilogy. I guess I'm now one of those old guys. But I don't hate on it and I respect that people love it. I guess my experience with the prequel hate has made me milder on this. Now we have to wait for those kids to grow up. ;-)
This is amazing. Never thought I’d see Hayden on the tonight show with jimmy fallon. Hopefully this means Hayden will finally get into more movie projects that are unrelated to Star Wars. Hayden is incredible. His acting in Obi-wan was fantastic. The whole experience was an emotional rollercoaster. I truly hope he agrees to act in more films or shows.
without spoiling I will say, the fight scene was so beautiful visually and emotionally like the amount of pain I felt for Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan while seeing that is one that never leaves because it always lingers, and I love that. Especially when it came to the two actors, their chemistry alone set it up beautifully, but the acting was glorious. And when people get to those scenes PAY ATTENTION TO THE EYES! Like your eyes without uttering words obviously talk so much about what's going on inside and out. Hayden still does fabulous with that in this show throughout it, and like he did in the Prequels, idk that was my favorite thing about his and Ewan's acting their eyes weren't dull they showed the pain, they showed the stories. so yeah I just really think that is the key. I loved that show I hope we see more of Hayden though cause this is truly a treat. :)
Look im not trying to rain on your parade but pretty much everything else in the show was shitty and made no sense although i do agree that the Obi-wan and Anakin scenes were really good so to anyone who is interested, i would say just watch scenes on youtube of those interactions and not the show because the show literally makes 0 sense
Exactly, there were so few good scenes in the show. The writing was bad, episode 4 proved that the writers didn't seem to care. There's no denying it. It broke my heart to see how little cohesion the story and writing had. Disney struck out yet again.
@@remo7846 What scenes would you be referring made no sense? The show is literally just Ob-Wan's life 10 years after Anakin went dark. Reva was my favorite part because her story was so important. Seeing the end with her was so impactful as well, the choice to not follow through with thoughts of revenge. Like wow that was truly beautiful and amazing.
The fact that he came back and looked and still acted the same made me smile so hard cause it took me back to when I was a kid and saw the prequels and I still love him as anakin
The prequels were what really got me to start fully appreciating the Star Wars saga for the masterpiece that it is, and Hayden as Anakin/Vader is one of the main reasons why. They really could not have done a better job casting him and Obi-Wan. Their confrontation in E6 was such an amazing moment to get to see and one that I've fantasized about ever since ROTS. The show as a whole wasn't really that great but that scene alone makes everything else worth it imo.
I said to a friend after the finale basically the same thing. They didn't really like the show and gave up after episode 4 and I convinced them to watch the rest by saying that episode 6 justifies the show's existence. Which I think it does.
Honestly i have NO IDEA what people would be expecting. the trailer made it really clear that the show was set mere years after the empire took over, & Obi-wan, practically having lost everything by that point, would obviously be depressed & cynical. it also didn't help with the fact that the people that he had to deal with most of the time had to either be the oppressed, assholes or oppressed assholes, & he, unlike Mando & Boba, was just too tired to wanna deal with all that shit. just how flashy & high-spirited could a show in such a setting, which was made obvious enough in the trailers, could actually be?? did the haters actually expect Ben to just act like how he was before the republic & the Jedi order came crashing down?? By the way, just like how you put it, that scene alone makes everything else worth it. it's after all, a showdown between 2 miserable gits who had, objectively or subjectively, done terrible things & had a lot to live with. both had little to live for at that point & that emotional baggage that both carried could have easily crushed anyone else. it's really thanks to the slow, depressing, seemingly bland development of things in the prior episodes, that ultimately contrasted & made that ultimate confrontation look so well-done.
Honestly seeing this man talking how he had a big smile on his face when he was cast for the first time just makes me smile. This man is literally the embodiment of a nice bro.
Ive never hated on the prequels, and it always saddened me when I heard Hayden was basically booed off stage. But seeing him finally getting love has really given me a smile

It's so heartwarming to see that all the videos where Hayden is or someone talks about Hayden, the comment section is filled with praises to him and his acting. Prequels were my life when they came and I always loved his acting especially in ROFT and still to this day it's still my favourite and I was glad to see more of him in Kenobi and hope to see even more.

I don't think there is an actor dead or alive who could play Anakin better than Hayden does. Many say he interrupts his guests a lot. I partly agree. But when some hosts let the celeb guests talked (like Colbert or Seth) it is often quite BORING. I think Kimmel and Corden balance it quite well. Let them talk a bit then when it starts to get boring they switch the subject subtlety.
Its not jimmy fallon who makes that happen. same as your favourite music artist. And before you guys start complimenting him, because he does ONE interview right... well its because they really knew and liked each other. thats pretty human.

We really need to see more of Hayden as vader/anakin. He understands the character and his inner turmoil so well and his acting was sooo good. I just missed him so much and it is great to see him in interviews.
I still think RotS is one of the best Star Wars film. I absolutely love it. I’m fully onboard with its dramatic style and delivery and the way it builds to the finale. It’s great. And Hayden made Anakin compelling. Seems like a solid dude too. Hope he goes from strength to strength.
For sure, the prequels got me into Star Wars (I'm in my late 20's). I didn't know at the time that Anakin Skywalker IS Darth Vader and when I watched RotS for the first time in cinema, I was shocked to see how it turned out with him becoming Darth Vader. I would love to go back and experience that just one more time but watching them all in order, not knowing how it all pans out!
not gonna lie, i had the biggest crush on this guy as a kid lol it’s really nice to see him back in the spotlight again and receiving so much love and support!
He was my crush as well! I loved him, and now I love him more! It was sad to watch all the hate he received years ago, to me he was wonderful, and I am SO happy to see Hayden again and see how much people supports him❤️

Hayden really brought the character of Anakin Skyguy to life, and solidified the fact that Star Wars is ANAKIN'S story. Not Luke's, not Obi Wan's. Think about it, the entire saga would not work without Anakin. And choosing Hayden for such a crucial role was a stroke of casting genius.
Going by that logic the entire saga wouldn't work without Palpatine, he literally controlled everything up until the final portion of each trilogy where he always comically blunders
@@jase276literally anyone could've been the final villain. Anakin was important to everything. Hell they tried to make Luke more important in the prequels but Vader took it easy because he was his son and Anakin was still there
A decade later George's GENIUS comes to fruition and we can now see that Hayden was cast perfectly as Anakin and his take on the character evolves into the only believable transformation that WORKED. It is haunting how much he fits as the real Vader behind the mask. A very underrated, oscar worthy, actor
I'm SO HAPPY that the way Hayden is perceived is changing. That the prequels have gained more popularity and people understand that the acting was not his fault. It was not only the dialogue, but partially how it was meant to be with a lack of emotion, with the cadence of Vader. Hayden is such a nice and genuine person and it would be easy for him to hate the community, but he's always remained true.
His performance in his last scene with Obi-wan is amazing and cements the role choice as Vader, everyone was so sceptical of him as Anakin because he was good at playing an awkward teenager that was constantly confused with what he was feeling and being overwhelmed.
Best part about the Kenobi series isn't the Kenobi series at all. It's getting Hayden & Ewan back together after so many years!
Yes! That was the best part of the prequels! I still love watching their bts footage, they had so much fun together. Obviously more fun than Obi Wan and Anakin ever had after watching the show!

@@SonGokuuuuuuu Calm down; it's not that serious.
Proper writing and direction is stretching it a bit. The series was pretty poor except for the final duel scene which really was very good.
That was always one of Hayden's strengths. In the prequels he had to deal with some corny dialogue but when it came down to showing emotion with his facial expressions, he was always on point.

I'm just happy that even people who still don't like the films have learned that they were part of a toxic reaction to the actors that caused a lot of pain to them, and are trying to make up for that. A little late, but I'm here for it, and Hayden seeing the love.
@@adamb2619 well that's a low standard to live by but it makes sense
Hayden is such a remarkable person. he deserves nothing but love. Everything he is in he is really really good. great actor.
He is not great but he is definitely good actor Ryan Gosling , jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Pattinson are great actors
It makes me so happy that Hayden and the prequels are finally getting the love they deserved to begin with. Sucks they had to wait until the kids that grew up with the prequels became adults. So grateful and happy Ewan and Hayden both decided to come back and play our favorite duo ❤️
Star Wars fans are insane
I love Hayden and Ewan and I was really looking forward to this series. It’s just too bad the writing sucks and it should have been called The Reva and Leia show.
Way to ruin another favorite character Disney!
@@gardendancing1012 I guess I don’t see it the same way as you (which is totally okay and valid and I can see why you think that way). I actually didn’t mind Reva or Leia. All I wanted when I first heard they were doing this show was an emotional scene between Vader/Anakin and Obi-Wan plus some scenes of Vader being Vader and that’s exactly what we got so everything else was just a bonus to me 🤷🏼♀️ I’ve learned to not set expectations before watching a show (whether it’s Star Wars or not), it’s much more enjoyable that way!!
Dudes an extremely underrated/amazing actor. Shit. I’d even love it if he had his own vader series on Disney plus based on the comics. That would be wonderful.
He was widely criticized for being a terrible actor in Star Wars lol
@@amonrodriguez3518 well he’s not a terrible actor. I’ve defended this man for several years since the original prequels came out and I will continue to do so. Because he is actually an amazing actor. Fuck the haters
@@amonrodriguez3518 Watch "Life as a House", or "Shattered Glass". He's amazing in both of those movies.
@@GuyRidingTurtle Life as a House is so good.
@@amonrodriguez3518 I don't think it's necessary to go to each comment thread and shit on him. Those movies were criticized for many reasons, but the dogshit that the big name actors had to work with wasn't really one of them.
Hayden seems so humble, really glad he’s getting a good response this time for his portrayal of Anakin. He deserves the world. Really hoping to see more of him in either film or TV! 😊
Hayden and Ewan’s acting in the Obi Wan series especially in that final battle in episode 6 was exceptional. They both deserve an Emmy for that
Hayden is incredible. His acting in Obi-wan was fantastic. The whole experience was an emotional rollercoaster. I truly hope he agrees to act in more films or shows.
The problem is can James Earl Jones. Or are they willing to part with the legacy of James' voice of Vader and give Hayden a shot
@@DeepSpaceBass1 nooooooo earls voice is what made and makes his voice but Hayden is the man to act as Vader
@@johnnytobias3500 JEJ is 91 years old
without spoiling I will say, the fight scene was so beautiful visually and emotionally like the amount of pain I felt for Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan while seeing that is one that never leaves because it always lingers, and I love that.
I must say, I was pretty slack-jawed.
Love that despite not being in many movies, Hayden Christensen is already a superstar in his own right.
well he plays most iconic villain
Same with me. The tragedy of anakin got me hooked. I never cared for 4 5 6. 7 8 9 was hot trash
Hayden deserves so much more.
If he did he would have it. He’s not a good actor

Ive never hated on the prequels, and it always saddened me when I heard Hayden was basically booed off stage.
But seeing him finally getting love has really given me a smile
Gave up the Hollywood life (the dark side) to raise his daughter right. Most important role of his life. Lots of respect to this man
I need Andrew Garfield and Hayden Christensen in a movie together. Just being their wholesome selves. Praise for their comebacks as iconic characters.
Omg yes !!!!
OMG!!! Yeeees!!!!
MY FAVORITE HUMANS
True. Both look alike too. And both suffered the same treatment from people blaming them as bad actors which actually they aren't
Andrew got hate for being too cool as peter and Spidey. Hayden got hate for ruining star wars. But that was in the past. Now. Both Andrew and Hayden are back. They are well loved.
This is why we love Hayden bro, cause he's a fan just like us, playing with imaginary lightsbers while listening to the soundtracks with his roommate. couldn't have asked for a better person to play the chosen one firm handshakes all around.
Haydens smile simply makes my day better
God Jimmy is LITERALLY every Star Wars fan seeing that suit up. Whether you're an actual grown adult, or a kid, Star Wars has touched all of us in so many ways and that is AWESOME.
Hayden is so gentle. Finally people are showing him some love who aren't just fans!
Hayden was my high school crush. I lovedddd him in Episode 2. Glad he's finally getting the recognition that he deserves!
I hope this is Hayden's return to the spotlight officially. I would love to see him take more projects now other than star wars.

The guy didn't act for years and delivered an excellent performance with more than half of his face covered
Say what you want about the series but he was definitely the highlight, and not only because he’s Vader lol
What series ? I need to jump on the Star Wars train.. what do I need t0 watch ? Obi one
@@TheMusicguy..you mean you watched the OT and the prequels? Then, yeah, watch "Obi-Wan Kenobi", that series is quite good. Also a documentary "Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return" is amazing.
Hayden also appeared in "Ahsoka" in the 5th episode and for the brief moments in 7&8th episodes, but that show is too boring to watch full.
Bless him, he always answers the same questions! He never seems annoyed and always so happy to retell the stories😊 love him so much
I don't think there is an actor dead or alive who could play Anakin better than Hayden does. There is no other actor who can make an audience feel an incredible amount of mixed emotions, sadness, terror, pity, fear, heartbreak, hope, anguish, and many more just by the way he speaks with the word of mouth and with his eyes. I'm so glad he's being shown all the love he deserves.
Tommy Wiseau has entered the chat
Now let's not get crazy here... There are so many great actors that could portray Vader.
@@CaptainTitforce Maybe, but there are a lot of great actors who could play the role of Iron Man too, yet it doesnt make them a better fit for the character than RDJ. Same concept here. There are actors who could possibly play Vader/Anakin really well, but none of them would fit the mold quite as well as Hayden does. He showed the internal struggle better than most actors could have, and cared more about his character than most actors do about theirs.
@@jinxx44 Except you have no proof whatsoever to state that other actors couldn't portray the character. Christensen just is the only person who has played young Anakin in live-action.
People said nobody could match Jack Nicholson as the Joker, then it turned into Heath Ledger, and after that even Joaquin Phoenix portrayed the character well.
Hell, some would argue that just the voice of Mark Hamill is the best joker.
@@CaptainTitforce I didn't say they cant portray the character, I said they probably can, but they wont fit the mold as well as Hayden does. I dont understand why you feel the need to force me to agree with you lol.
That line “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker… I did.” With the evil smirk was so scary yet heartbreaking. He did a lot of subtle facial expressions after the the helmet split that made me think of Anakin from the prequels.
Hayden killed it the entire series, he just was so underused.
Who talks about himself in the 3rd person like that? Weird guy.

Edit: I know Conan is still the GOAT
I can tell from other interviews that he's actually a fan of star wars
Many say he interrupts his guests a lot. I partly agree. But when some hosts let the celeb guests talked (like Colbert or Seth) it is often quite BORING.
I think Kimmel and Corden balance it quite well. Let them talk a bit then when it starts to get boring they switch the subject subtlety.
Its not jimmy fallon who makes that happen. same as your favourite music artist.
And before you guys start complimenting him, because he does ONE interview right... well its because they really knew and liked each other. thats pretty human.
Jimmy Filloni hahaha
He has researchers and a team that feed him all the information. He then does full rehearsals
I met him in person in 2008 when he filmed "Jumper" with Samuel L. Jackson on my street in Toronto. The crew had set up their equipment right on my front lawn and here walks Hayden Christensen right up my home walkway and sits in his personalized chair. I was on my porch, shook his hand and said "Aren't you Darth Vader" he replied "I used to be" as he took out a Dumaurier cigarette out of his pack and lit it up. Not snobby at all, actually took the time to acknowledge me and shake my hand. He's Canadian for crying out loud. Of course he would be respectful.

The voice acting on "Anakin is gone" is phenomenal and the "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker" followed by the face he pulls off is crazy good
I'm just so happy for Hayden - he's a fantastic human being and never deserved any of the negativity. I am sure he is now well loved across the board.
Hayden is leading man material. He has the chops to carry his own Vader show. A little bit of upcoming screen time in Ahsoka is fine and dandy, but Hayden can do even better by setting his sights high and being ambitious about getting his own show. He and BFF Ewan can be two of the co-EPs. Ewan now has the experience from the Kenobi series, and I'm 110% positive he'd help Hayden where possible as he's always been in Hayden's corner.
D+ should give him his own show and not just 6 episodes.
@@MarySunshine25 I agree. Hayden and Ewan are two of Lucasfilm's very best actors. They both deserve more than 6 episodes. It's an immense waste of talent to not feature them in more material.

Hayden deserves all the praise he gets for his performance as Anakin & Vader.
He's just the sweetest soul!! Its crazy how movies he's been in and so many people forget that!!
Honestly I love how Jimmy handled that, hе was being respectful and did not crack silly jokes.
On the other hand I’ve never understood why Hayden received so much hate he literally nailed the role of Anakin!
I am beyond gleeful to see Hayden in the limelight and receiving the praise he’s deserved. I literally grew up watch the prequels and I wanted so bad to be anakin (I know it sounds bad lol but I was young) so seeing him finally getting positive feedback makes me emotional. I literally want nothing but the best for that man. Same goes to Ewan, there couldn’t have been anyone else to play those characters the way they did. They will always and forever be Anakin and Obi-Wan in my mind
Never feel ashamed of enjoying the prequels, especially if you were the target audience for them. The Phantom Menace came out when I was 12 and changed and shaped my life ever since. Me and my friend are gigantic Star Wars fans, we love everything, but the prequels will always have a special place in our hearts, and I could never imagine anyone else as Anakin, and seeing Hayden portray Vader is simply a dream come true.
@@vvrathhps I’m not ashamed. I just think anakin was not the best role model lmao. I completely agree. I feel like he has finally come full circle and he’s now able to continue his work as Anakin/Darth Vader as he was supposed to. Like this is what we were all waiting for
We really need to see more of Hayden as vader/anakin.

Facts
It's true. The prequels, the originals, and the sequels, they're all about Anakin
Going by that logic the entire saga wouldn't work without Palpatine, he literally controlled everything up until the final portion of each trilogy where he always comically blunders
Skyguy 😂😂
That and George Lucas’ terrible direction.
His performance in his last scene with Obi-wan is amazing and cements the role choice as Vader, everyone was so sceptical of him as Anakin because he was good at playing an awkward teenager that was constantly confused with what he was feeling and being overwhelmed.
True. Man.
I love Jimmy’s enthusiasm. I’m especially excited for Hayden Christensen and glad to see him back in the role.
