    I got to say Rob's my favourite advice channels. Straight forward solid advice that he tells/ shows, rather than shouting. Plus he doesn't waffle on and on like a lot of the other vids.

    How long do you stay in the gym?
    I am enrolled in a fitness class and we workout only on Tues, Thurs for about an hour. It's not long, so how do you suggest I build my muscles to the max?
    We have a paper that consist of 3 reps for each muscle group, with a row for pounds and a row for weight
    ex.
    30 35 40 weight
    shoulders 12 08 06 reps
    Also sometimes I do my chest workout, and the weight is heavy and I can lift it. But I only do 12 - 6, sometimes 4 reps and don't really feel my chest burning. Is that good? I struggle to lift the weight and have improved over 2 months, it just sometimes feel like I am not working my muscles.
    Thanks :)

    I love doing drop sets on triceps with the cable extensions. It burns the fuck out of my triceps but it feels so good once the pain leaves.

  • @cupidvogel
    @cupidvogel 8 лет назад +24

    The 5th exercise is the best for triceps in my opinion. Close grip bench press is cool I supposed, but it puts too much pressure on my wrists so I avoid it...

    How do you keep your joints healthy? I do a lot of these, but after 5 weeks (1 tricep day a week) my elbows hate me and I have to rest them for the same amount of time I worked them.

    • @spacemonkey7461
      @spacemonkey7461 9 лет назад +2

      Tip. Do NOT lock out. It will save your joints, especially on triceps exercises, it puts a lot of stress of the ligaments and tendons as well.

    • @FNHot
      @FNHot 9 лет назад

      SpaceMonkey I've never locked out on an exercise in my life. Legs, tris or otherwise. My tri's like when my arms are straight, it's when they're bent it kills.

    • @spacemonkey7461
      @spacemonkey7461 9 лет назад +1

      FNHot last suggestion is.... alter your wrist angle, up or down, try to find a comfy position. Also stretch forearm and triceps thoroughly, look up some good exercises

  • @SeanCook

    ***** My only comment would be to be sure and keep your elbows close to your head as well as parallel to each other when doing the single DB behind the neck tricep extension exercise. You will need to lighten the load to do that one properly and I suggest doing them at the beginning of the workout so you have more power in the triceps to do them strict, or use the cable option for a more controlled movement. The reason I mention this is in your video your elbows were flared out. Good tips though!

    • @progrexion1575
      @progrexion1575 8 лет назад

      sometimes you sacrifice form for weight just to put an overload on the muscle he practically stayed that in the video.
      but overall your right

    Why does everyone focus on upper body strength, and then I see their legs and it's clear that lower body strength is clearly not a priority?!?! It's just disproportionate and isn't a good look when someone is only top heavy. 😣
