So the mechanic changed the spark plugs . All good and now after couple of days this p0014 error code came with the description : ‘B’ camshaft position-timing over-advanced or system performance bank 1.
Your videos are helpful all times thanks for them🙏 but i need help if you can please! My car Peugeot 107, P0010 cod have no connection to VVT-ventil. I check it with digital diagram and there no connection in the cable/ lin. I don’t know how to fix the lin?
@@Quran_Karim30juz I assume that you have the wiring diagram for this car, that's how you found the fault on the circuit. What I normally do is, I check the connectors at both ends as sometimes they are the cause. So check the connectors and pins very thoroughly, then if you are sure they are ok and fault comes from the wire, try to trace the wire for finding the open/short circuit to fix it, you can use the wire tracker to do this, otherwise if you don't see the fault area, the only option is to remove the relevant pins from each end (sensor-ECM), then use identical wire (same spec) between them.

hello I have code p0014 on my hyundai accent 2016. the check engine light is on the car consumes a lot of fuel and makes noise. I therefore changed the engine oil and the filters, the noise continues and the engine check is still present. I removed the two sensors I tested with the multimeter 8.5 ohm each and with the battery the test was good. the connectors also 9V each. I noticed that the two sensors in their middle there is a filter but they are drilled, can the hole still create this anomaly? Thank you for answering me
Hi there, there has been a common problem on some Hyundai vehicles with exactly these two fault codes that resulted from a mechanical failure in engine. (it could be just the timing mechanism which is causing knock too), I highly recommend to have the car checked at a mechanic workshop ASAP.
Changed both cam pos. Sensors on 2014 Buick Verano 2.4L. Now the engine won’t even crank. Thought it was battery so I’ve charged it but what else could it be? It’s throwing codes P0014, P0341, P0366, and P0010
You didn’t need to change the cam sensors, as you have P0010 too, this fault could be from intake VVT solenoid valve, don’t replace it right away, you need to inspect it first.
Do you know something about resetting to zero after vvt changing?, I changed my peugeot's 208 vvt and check engine light went off but there is a silent code about resetting to zero values for vvt
Hi there. Resetting to zero value is actually for Engine Control Module that should be done using a scan tool. So when you do that, ECM goes to factory setting and will start re-learning all components including VVT values.
I have a suzuki wagonR japanese and this code p0014 position comshoft advance has been contiuesly coming although i changed both v take sensors A and B! Kindly advise thanks🙏
Fist i replaced the B one, even then the code didnt disapear then after a few days i replaced the ather one A as well but the code still apears and engine check light is on ! Some times it goes off but then again engine check light gets on!
@@walihdh1587 I assume that you have changed the VVT solenoid as you again did not answer the question ☺. First of all, you didn't need to change both solenoid valves as you had the fault only on exhaust side. So, checking the VVT solenoid itself is important, but this problem could on the solenoid's wiring (normally two wires, one for positive and one for solenoid control line), if wiring and solenoid are ok, again you don't replace anything unless you are sure that it's faulty. the next step (since you have checked the timing) is to check the VVT itself, so normally we remove the exhaust camshaft, and we must check it first to see it does not rotate freely. Then we must apply compressed air on retard hole on camshaft (which goes directly inside the VVT), in this moment, if we are doing everything correctly, VVT must gets unlocked and must rotate a little. If it does not rotate it means that VVT is stuck on maximum advance and you must only change the VVT itself.

@@goodgurugamingentunknowner2618 It can affect your engine performance and sometimes when engine gets warm, engine hesitation gets worse. If nothing is wrong, it could be only an intermittent fault.

Hi there, the normally we need to check the wiring and the VVT actuator both to see where that fault is coming from. For the actuator itself, you see in the video that we can test it by the scan tool, or manual actuation test, or checking the internal resistance. It’s always good to check the workshop manual for that specific car for the specifications, correct procedure and all safety details.
Hi there, Normally for any input signal to ECM, there is a logic and ECM considers a max and min limit, so if any of those input signals goes higher or lower than the limit, ECM will set a fault code. in this case, if the difference between "Camshaft actual position" and "Camshaft desired position" is more than 20 degrees (max limit), ECM will set a fault code. So 20 degrees is the max limit for the ECM to set the code (P0014). You see this value in the scan tool, in the "Live Data". You can find the relevant section in this video at 3:37.
Getting P0014 on my BMW 2003 530i M54 engine. Is there a VVT oil filter on that engine and if so, where would it be located? I also recently removed my crank bolt to replace the front oil seal. I wrapped an old serpentine belt around the lower pulley, up and around the alternate in order to "lock" the engine. I was able to release the crank bolt but didn't hear or feel anything slip such as a sprocket jumping a tooth nor was there any damage to the pulley. I didn't feel comfortable torquing a new crank bolt in the same manner so purchased the required tool(s) to secure the engine. Could this just have been a coincidence when I used the serpentine belt method that I'm now getting the P0014 code? I also replaced the Vanos oil line.
Hi There,I’m not really sure where is the location of Vanis filter in this model but could be on the Vanos itself. Also any small changes in the timing could lead to the timing fault code but if you are sure that you didn’t remove or relocate any part in the timing system, it should be fine. Vanos solenoid valve removal and cleaning could be an option too.
