Absolutely one of the best songs from P4. Insane riffs and vocals blend into a calm oasis, and then a truly epic Periphery-like ending. Always a journey with these guys
Found this while playing my Spotify on Xbox just yesterday. And while it does sound like a bit of a love song, or perhaps meaning to move on and do the right thing. I somewhat also interpret it as letting go of a dying loved one, or even, having renewed vigor for your own life! It's multilateral for sure. Impressive work, it's great that there's a Post/Prog Rock band that is more or less making it in the mainstream. It's awesome and wild and it's so awesome that they have some many damn song ideas that they're two bands in one. 😉

I think that dude who does these awesome periphery guitar covers on youtube is in haunted shores, guess he'll be pretty bummed out if he gets the news :/
I love this song, the beggining is extremely strong and amazing, but the tonal modulation at 0:31 feels like a punch in the stomach to me. The song has amazing parts, but when I first heard this song (I hadn’t heard the Haunted Shores version) i was like DAMN THIS IS THE NEW SCARLET, and at that 0:31 I was like... WHY?? Why do you need to modulate in such a strong way?? This could be the song I sent to every people I know to let them appreciate and enter to Periphery, but with all this “we don’t care about people”, even in a possible “single” like this song, they are destroying a gate to new (and old) fans. With that said, I love Periphery and like this song and a lot of it’s parts, but for me it feels like a not perfectly done puzzle.
Antares nope! I want them to be who they want, for sure. But sometimes looking at your market, your target, and trying to expand it by making just a song in the album that could be easier for the new listener would be a much better choice, because Periphery (IMO) is the best Metal band right now and I don’t want them to turn a cult band. They should still mantain a Scarlet, Alpha, or other songs with great hooks so new listeners don’t get too overwhelmed by prog and too much changes.

Both singers are perfectly in their element with where they are now
The note he hits at 3:16 ...they should make a whole new register above falsetto called “the Sotelo”
HOW DOES HE DO IT?!?!?!?
He goes even higher on Absolomb like how tf
