This is a good video but it obviously hit the wrong crowd. There have been talks of canonizing him for years. He’s a good example to us all
St. Carlo pray for us!
Probably a push to legitimise any Saint in history.
Or, we could read the Bible.
The word "saint/s" is used 48 times by the authors of the New Testament to describe ordinary living Christians.❤

There are only two persons in the New Testament who are spoken of as interceding for us from heaven.
God the Spirit.
Romans 8:26-28 ESV -
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:34 ESV -
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died-more than that, who was raised-who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

"14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us take hold of our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things like we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
Believers are warmly invited to approach the throne at any time.

@@YoLkE-22222 Canonizing saints and organized religion generally are archaic. Unless you were indoctrinated into a religious cult as a child, which most religious people were, humans have advanced as a species to see human rights, equality and ethics as secular. Science has explained away so-called miracles and modern ethical understanding emphasizes personal responsibility and universal human values over ancient stories handed down by the same people who also said the world was flat!

actually, he is a millennial. he was born in 1991. the years for Gen-Z is 1997-2009. he died in 2006 at the age of 15, so he was a teenager then. he would be 30+ if he was still alive today. Back in the early 2000s you wouldn’t have been 30+ either

@bradwillis3361 Jesus taught us how to pray and it doesn't involve any saints.
Jesus is the way truth and life. It's Through him only. We have to be careful not to give God's glory to Saints. It could be counted as worshiping false idles.
Can you find me anything in the bible that says we need a mediator between us and God? I thought Jesus dying on the cross solved this problem.
@krystalrain1 If you ask someone to pray for you is that bad? that's basically what catholics are doing, they use the word pray in the definition of the word when it is the same as "ask"
@@bradwillis3361 he’s dead… NOT living in heaven. The penalty of sin is death (Roman’s 6:23). They’re all dead until judgement, which comes later (Revelation 11:18). The dead know nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5), hear nothing, and cannot pray for the living (Psalms 115:17-18).
All these lies perpetuated by the Catholic Church pervert the gospel and have lead billions astray. The blind lead the blind into a pit (Matthew 15:14). That’s why the Catholic Church teaches its followers that the Bible is too complicated to read and study, and must be left to the leaders who themselves are serving Satan unknowingly.
I'm Jewish, so I don't really understand. People prayed to him, a miracle happened and now he's the god of the internet?
If you want to understand intercession, it's helpful to understand what hero cults for Greek and Roman religion were like. It was a cultural thing that Greek speaking early Jews and Christians would have been familiar with and Catholic treatment of saints is very much descended from that cultural practice.
Theologically, it's actually simple. Saints are simply agents of God that pay particular attention to certain things and can intercede on your behalf. It's functionally the same as asking your priest to pray for you, but you're instead asking someone who's already in Heaven in God's presence.

The Catholic Church is the Beast of Revelation. Notice when she said he healed a boy who prayed to him. That is sick and sinful.
Praying means asking/talking, it’s not a form of worship.

Becoming a Saint has become a Joke. Why not give St title to people that actualy deserve it, that actually perform the work of God and NOT Man. What has the Faith done beyond create a class divide,
Religion is a lie. The work of man is all we have.
