great video as always! I do have one request, and this seems to be a common theme among many of the educational videos I watch, it would be SUPER COOL to see you working the bait and explaining the retrieve/action, what your trying to accomplish...maybe even some underwater video in a pool or something? Something that show what I'm trying to achive/mimic on the water while employing the rig. Thanks again!
THANK YOU for making things so clear.
I've been fishin popping corks a long time and usually recommend them to someone who is just beginning to saltwater fish.
I often use a 1/8oz jig head, and exclusively Z-man baits, but I think I may start trying some of the lighter heads like you spoke of.
THANKS AGAIN....I learn a lot from you.
Great advice! Only thing to add is that with lighter weight jig heads one needs to be careful about 'leader twist' around the cork. I find using a 3/8's jig head usually resolves this issue. Lastly, one might want to try the VersaMaxx Bolt cork as well so that they can change their leader depth instantly. Cork fishing requires exploring depths! Most cork fishermen stick to 30" or so and never change. That is a grand, common error!
Thank you for your videos. The depth that you go into to share your knowledge and product is appreciated.
Best of the Best C.A.
This is a old bait but new me,but it works great for me in Mississippi on the gulf coast,I really love the trout tricks
Good stuff C.A., as always
Thanks for everything you do CA! I do have one request for your edits. It's awesome when you shift back to show the action but you tend to edit out the take and just show the angler reeling in the fish. It will be great if sometimes you could also show the take as it's a very instructive part of the process obviously. Again flats class TV is the bomb and keep up the awesome work!
Thank you Capt CA.
Thanks Capt! Good stuff as always!!
Z man is the truth
I was just about to ask about colors for murky cloudy waters.
How light of a mono leader we talking? Thanks for the tips CA
I personally use 15lb Fluorocarbon. Because you get a gator trout on they could bust you off and the 15lb Fluorocarbon is light enough you don't have to worry about sink rate.
If worried about sink rate just use a lighter weight jighead / hook
@@artificialslinger9730 sounds good thanks for the tip
15 to 20lb
@@flatsclasscharters thanks capt
@@NoleYakin you're welcome. If you start getting trout in the 19 to 20" range the chances of a mid 20" trout is high might even consider 20lb.
Ca which Shimano GLF rod would you recommend for inshore pier fishing the 7’6” medium or medium heavy. I live in Virginia and to a lot of pier fishing around the Chesapeake Bay Area.
I’d say MH for sure
I’ve got a medium / fast GLF in 7’. Has just enough backbone to throw a heavy 4h cork like this in Louisiana but light enough still to enjoying tight lining lighter jigs, smaller mirrodines etc for kayak fishing. Still able to chuck a 2oz sinker when bait fishing but it’s lighter than my medium duckett salt series. Would go heavier if your rigs are greater than that but otherwise I enjoy the medium.
I love Z-Man Products & Buggs for when I'm out with my Son in our 2 Salty 120pdls
Ca Richardson what colors would you recommend for Ozello Florida for the trout Trick and shrimp
I favor Beer Run and the Dude
