This song saved me from suicide. I’m an 18 year old college student who lives 6 hours away from home because I was following my then girlfriend. We were together for two years. We had put ups and downs but mostly good memories. One day she just blocked me on everything and took all her things. All I got was a letter telling me her friends made her do this and she wished we never happened. I have never felt such pain in my life. I went home that weekend. The real reason of the trip was to say goodbye. When I got home I don’t know why because I only ever listened to Oasis and Liam. I never listened to solo Noel before. I put on this song. I had a bunch of pills I was about to take. Then the line about the pills. I thought about it. The pills won’t make me better. So here I am 3 months later. Still hurting but going on. Edit: Hello everyone I’m still here and I’m so excited for the Oasis reunion. I’m in the happiest relationship of my life and the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. Thank you all for the comments they mean the world to me years later. Keep leaving them in case someone that was in my situation comes across this post. Thank you again.

Your life deserves to be lived and enjoyed even if the pain is alive. We're gonna live forever and make our lives worth to be remembered and for that stay strong buddy no matter what.
I think it's Liam who wants their relationship to be rivalry, but they both add fuel to the fire, as a fan I am feeling confused about why they still feel a grudge against each other.

Things haven't been alright for me lately, I have been constantly thinking of ending it all. I saw this life as a meaningless cycle of sleeping, waking up, eating, and sitting. I had lost my purpose, my joy for life, to exist, to do the things that once mattered so much for me. I have lost people, someone I thought was my friend for life, and the other whom I thought was in love with me and we were meant to be. Now I'm trying to relearn about life, to gather as much knowledge possible to make my life enjoyable until it ends by God's will. I'm slowly gathering my strength, and motivating myself. I just took a break and got lost on RUclips and found this artist, and this song spoke to me somehow.. I feel free. Free from that man, free from that friend, free from life. It injected a healthy dose of hope in my veins, now I breathe fresh air, towards a fresh start. 🧡
It is only when you get older in life and you look back and think of why things happened the way they did. Life can be shit and people can be hurtful but it makes you a stronger person. I have been in very dark places when I was 18 and I am 56 now and I am still in the same skin but am a different person. I would never be the confident, happy, fulfilled individual that I am today if I hadn't lived through all the hurt and pain on relationships along the way. Glad you are still living a life that is to be lived. You will make our world a better place.
He went through a bit of a Europop crisis, but this song shows us that he is one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, let's hope he can carry on with tunes like this well into the 21st, this is a top class tune :D
I dont care what the critics say the man is the most versatile musical genius of my generation. Been listening to his music pretty much most of my adult life and will continue to do so. Thanks to NG for another fantastic track.
An emotional song, the main rock radio or my country, absolute radio played this song on the day my dog had to be put down from cancer, i still cry now, my girlfriend died from sepsis less than 8 weeks later
This song cements what I've been saying for years: Noel is a songwriter of epic, biblical proportions. Out of the three boys, Noel took the brunt of the abuse from his Dad and largely protected his little brother from it. For that reason he is a much darker character. He's got this little dark place that he can go to to write the most incredibly beautiful songs and they all come from a place with some pretty intense emotions. Liam on the other hand is all attitude and bravado because his self-confidence wasn't damaged the way his brother's was. Noel's music therefore is so incredibly beautiful and meaningful, whereas Liam's is confident and catchy. That's why Oasis were so phenomenal. The music was beautiful and delivered with such badass attitude. The combination was electric. That's also probably why they can't work together. Noel certainly sees his brother as a musically talentless little loudmouth and Liam sees Noel as an overly emotional and complicated pain in the backside. They're both right of course. Liam's solo work is all attitude and no musical talent, Noel's is all beauty with no attitude and very little charisma. That's why, compared to Oasis, they'll never reach those levels of excellence on their own. Sad but true.
Agree with all of this apart from the last part. They won't ever be as big as they were in Oasis, not because they don't have the talent, well not in Noel's case anyway, but because they've done all that and the music they put out now whilst good isn't edgy and new, plus I don't think they have the need to put in the effort needed to make them as big as they were in terms of promotion and touring, and fair play to them they want to enjoy the time and money they have. I think Noel could be a lot bigger, but he didn't want it, his music is still great. Liam's stuff isn't bad, far from it, but it's more about him and the music is better than I expected him to be capable of, but it's not really great.
Came to watch this only because it has Matt Smith in it but I am now a fan of this song for sure! Great song, great music and the video is awesome. Definitely will be listening to more and more...

It’s been such a privilege to have been bought up with so many great tunes from this man, and he’s still banging them out along with Liam, Oasis may never reform but the legacy will live on forever, and as long as I have this music in my life it makes everything that little bit more better👌

'Cause you got the love, you got the love, lady

'Cause with every little trick, they try to drag you down

Stood on top of the world
And when the cold wind blow, you say the chill don't matter

@@Ollie_77 drove thru Cannock chase on my way home for seeing the kings of Leon in Birmingham on Monday . Seen Noel before but can see tomorrow being legendary.
Noel without doubt is the greatest song writer ever. Love his voice too and a very charismatic person.
Também me apaixonei por esta música e pelo artista!!! Não me canso de ouvir!!!
Não conhecia o Oasis?
This song is a year old, and I must say it is easily one of Noel’s greatest songs ever. I’ve been dealing with depression for the past year. This song soothed me. It’s mesmerizing. Therapuetic.
Likewise 👍
What pills is this song talking about? Anxiolytics or what?

Let's Be Honest , Noel Gallagher Songs never disappoint Us
Very True.
Well his latest EPs did disappoint me. Still love him tho.
When his songs disappoint, probably the problem is on you

Black Star Dancing says hello
This song absolutely puts it out there. With Noel & Liam working their music together is what produces a positive attitude out there.
brilliant
This musical arrangement is brilliant. Gives me chills.🎶🎸
How on earth does Noel deliver time and time again at the very highest level!?
Was driving to see my mum in the hospice when this came on the radio sadly she passed away that night 😢
I can’t stop playing this, open the door and riverman. Three very deep songs that just make my hairs stand up and I get goosebumps. Noel is a genius. Best song writer ever and his voice is just on point. Absolutely incredible artist. I’m so pissed cos I’m disabled now and couldn’t stand in the crowd for the reunion tour. It’s gonna be massive. I think I’d just cry from start to finish. Autism can suck at times but it also makes you realise the talent in people and the pure brilliance of songs like this. Excellent. I love Noel. He’s a legend. He’s my god. 🙌🙌💯🙏🏻💯🙌🙌
The best one yet
