I like his music very much. I hadn’t realised the influence of Tavistock. Them & Blur. Cultural change. Mostly drugs and hopelessness were the lessons subconsciously taught.

This must have to be his best solo performance and it's 2023 . Shout out to Terry for the percussion section. Spot on
Gems solo on Slide Away is terrific. I love the story Noel tells about every time he shows up at Gem's house his little boy bursts out crying. He cries because he knows Noel is going to take his dad away on tour.
I didn't know that story but that's as humane as it gets.
What I love about Noel’s songs from Oasis is that he can switch from rock or acoustic and produce two completely different versions of the same song. I have to say I much prefer him acoustically
It suits his voice and also his persona as an older man. He can rock, but not like in the mid 90s. Who among us can? I was then in my prime. I’m now a pensioner (just), tempus fugit.

Noel’s Genius would have come out one way or the other but one needs something to SWAGGER to…and Noel’s BRILLIANT song writing was the key.
You see people like Oasis copy bands or other college bands that play Oasis songs. The songs are good, the playing is good, but what's different is the vocals. No great Noel song could have life without Liam's vocals.

Noel on acoustic is the definition of "The Good Music"
People forget about Gem...he's a brilliant lead guitarist and complements Noel's songs with some awesome blues lead guitar .....Simply Fantastic!!!!!!
Absolutely agree. Gem’s touch is so clean and soulful that I often back up to hear his solos again and again.
Spot on my friend. All the more true after Noel had him back on tour with him as soon as he could get Gem back he literally went after him as Noel knows he can rely on Gem who’s a fabulous musician in his own right. Plays rhythm guitar lead guitar acoustic & piano and even heard he can turn his hands to drums if needed in the studio. He can write produce & can also stand side by side with Noel on the same wavelength & Noel loves Gems work ethic. ✌️👍✌️
A person who has marked a before and after in my life taught me in depth what Noel Gallagher and Oasis are as such and it is something of pure appreciation to come to this video to listen to two specific songs.

Brings back many memories. I remember seeing Noel and Gem back in 2006 when they came to Perth. What a day that was. We also went to the cricket that day and Gilly smacked a 100 against the poms of 87 balls ah the memories
Dean Schmidt from a fellow Australian, being 18 in 2006, I remember these days as being the best. Music and cricket, glory days of Ponting, Gilly, Hayden, Langer, McGrath, Lee, Warne, Symonds, Mitch Johnson. Jesus we were unbeatable with that team! Once in a generation team.

Just wish they could make up they were so so good together.
Were, past tense, is the operative word. That musical partnership is long dead, and I’d be amazed if they ever step onto the same stage again. Not sure it’s wrong, either. Reforming Oasis is a bad idea, as I’m not alone in missing the 90s and the 1990s Oasis in their pomp. Do we want elderly rocker’s pretending to be in their 20s? I don’t. I want a bloody Time Machine please.
