small clevis pins would work too, for a quick disconnect that won't loosen with vibration.
Instead of wing nuts use locknuts and carry a cheap rachet and socket in the glove box. Great vid.

That is awesome. Shovel mounts are horribly expensive.
Each can of spray paint is now $6-7 in the US. This total project now costs more than the chinese shovel in 2024!

I got it from Homedepot, I recommend the small one, it's handy for emergency use.
