I'VE USE THIS TECHNIQUE MANY TIMES
ADDING PAINT AND DRYWALL TO A CANVAS...
BUT !!!
YOU MUST FIRST ADD A STRONG LQ GLUE TO YOUR DRYWALL AND PAINT mix well... and work fast getting it on the canvas
"IF YOU DO NOT" ...
EVENTUALLY THE DRYWALL WILL DRY UP AND FALL OFF THE CANVAS
I’m going to follow this tutorial to create a piece for my living room
Loved this!! I really appreciate your “it’s all ok” positive attitude. Very refreshing and pleasant. Very inspiring!
We are so like minded and saving what others view as worthless into knock your socks off beautiful. Not only repairing the earth, but the souls that inhabit it one at a time.
I love this comment! I’m so grateful for you and the kindred spirits that gravitate towards my videos. Thank you for this beautiful reminder
Thank you! Very cool, I have to try it.
GOSH !! That floor piece ?….Is SO my style !! You’ve re-inspired me. 🎉🎉
LOVE 💗 ALL these pieces !!🎉🎉 Simple, intuitive, tranquil. ❤❤
Imagine how you can take a little bit of that and little bit of this and more of that....and end up with wall art. Thanks for the encouragement to get some of THAT for myself. 🤣
Hahaha!! So funny. You can do it, just play 💖
@@WhitneyBaldwin Well done you! Really enjoyed it. I will do just as you say! Thanks
@@WhitneyBaldwin
Ive used this same technique MANY TIMES adding Paint to Drywall
BUT !!!
YOU MUST ADD A STRONG TYPE OF LQ GLUE....to the drywall and paint... mix well then apply it to your canvas
IF YOU DO NOT...
THE DRYWALL WILL DRY UP CRACK AND EVENTUALLY FALL OFF
THE CANVAS
THEIRS NOTHING HOLDING THE DRYWALL TO THE CANVAS

I cannot draw but, I believe I could do this. AWESOME!!
Good afternoon Whitney
Love these, my kinda art 👍🏽☀️🌻
I’ve been binging these plaster art videos and you’re the first person I’ve seen mix paint with the plaster. I’m surprised more people have thought of this rather than painting over it.
Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing your talent!!! See you next video.
Awe!! Thank you for such a sweet comment 🤗 See you next week!
Fire.
Amazing !!! You’re so free flowing and organic. I love the crackle effect. Art is so fluid. It looks one way one day, and different the next. I’ve got pieces in my home that keep changing all the time, and they seem to get better each day. Colours underneath come to the surface and mix with all the layers. Thanks so much Whitney 🔆🪔🧚🏽♀️
I love all of your amazing comments! ❤️ I love how art is always evolving and bringing us joy in different ways. Do you have an Instagram account with your artwork? I’d love to see
I’m a wanna be painter hun. I fool around with textures and decor is my favourite. Old rugs, handmade or thrifted everything to make our home ours. I’m so glad you enjoy my comments. I’m just being me. I see comments on sites and cringe at the negativity. It’s just not needed and makes me sad. I love to spread kindness and positivity wherever I can. Be well sweet flower 🌺
You scored with those pieces!!!
I love painting my own pics, but I have not tried a spackle one yet.
Went to Goodwill two days ago and scored a 6 ft by 3 ft canvas for $10!!!! It has a great boat in the water pic, but it's not my color, so I'm painting over it with much pain. TY for your ideas!!
Love how these turned out. I’ve been looking for a video with someone showing adding the paint to the compound and I love it.
Beautiful 🎉🎉 looking for something unique this is sooo beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing this video with me. Think I’ll be binge watching your channel to catch up. Thank you very much. Love your house.
Awe, thank you Connie!! I’m so happy you find my content binge worthy 🙏🏻
So cool! I am looking for inspiration for painting on a bunch of wood pieces I have. I am building out a 1988 chevy and I made so many mistakes. Want to turn those mistakes into something beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration!
Really cool pieces🤍 love your summer kitchen 😂
Spackle diff from compound .spackle more flexible so may not crack off ???
This is so beautiful. Love your art!
Loved watching you! First time here 💜
Love these! They’re exactly the type of art AND colours I’ve been working on lately, including painting over canvases I found when neighbours moved and threw them out (twinsies! 😉). I would guess the cracking is bc canvas is a flexible surface and joint compound is designed for rigid surfaces (which is why it didn’t look like it cracked on the stage piece - an excellent find, btw!), so if you decide next time you don’t want the cracking, try mixing the dry powder (or marble dust, calcium carbonate, or even baby powder) with PVA glue, which helps give it a little flex. Keep up the great work!
Hey Twin!!! 👯♀️ Mixing a powder into glue is such a brilliant idea! I think you’re right, the only cracking was on the canvases. Thank you so much for the lovely comment and amazing insight. DM me on Instagram... I would love to see what you’re working on 💛
Just found you!! Your GREAT!! Will be watching your video's. God bless you and your family.🙏
Michelle from SW FL 💕
Awe, thank you so much!!! I'm so happy to have you here 💞
Hi Whitney thank you for the HEART ❤. I'll be watching your video's. That was SWEET of you. God bless you and your family and stay safe and careful please. 🙏 💕 MICHELLE from SW FL 💕
Very good!!!!! I love them all!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍
So beautiful👏👏👏
Loved it, stunning
Love 💘 this blend
Love the art work!! I am an oil painter, and a piece is never done. 😂 Had a teacher who said, that once you sign a piece, "it's done". So when I don't want to get sucked into "what else can I do" to a painting, I hurry up and sign it!🥴
Thank you for the compliment 🤗 That’s great advice!!!! I will definitely have to do that next time
Yes I agree simple is better in my art I use this mantra
def loved this! store bought room decor is expensive and meaningless but you have this so much meaning, emotion and personality. i’ll be trying this, hopefully they come out half as good as yours! 😍❤️
Beautiful work I love it 💟💟💟
I realise this video is from a while ago but would love your advice! I have been wanting to make a piece of wall art for our place living room. Absolutely love the third piece in this video. Can I ask, as you blend and play with these pieces did you do a bit, let dry, do a bit more, dry etc OR did you do the majority while it was wet?
Eg: was the paint wet when you applied the dry wall plaster? Was the plaster dry when you brushed colour over the top?
If this makes sense 😅
I feel so inspired now!
Very nice! Thank you!
Hello! I absolutely love this! If you don’t mind, can you please share a new link for the large paint brush you are using? The old one isn’t valid anymore 😫😍
Beautiful
Excelent ideas.......way to go....
This is the BEST DIY wall art I’ve seen! So many have tried to “make art” but this is really beautiful!
And I was just going to see what you did and because this is so awesome, I ended up subscribing! More power!
Oh my goodness 🤗 Thank you for such a lovely comment! So happy to have you here 💖 Tag me over on Instagram if you recreate this and I’ll post your painting to my stories!

Hahaha I know the feeling
I LOVED THIS. Omg you're so amazing and beautiful and so are your works ❤️❤️❤️
Keep going 🤗
Oh my goodness 😊 Thank you so much for making my day! Sending you my love ❤️❤️❤️
I have watched this video at least 10 times! I have just discovered painting on canvas and I am totally addicted! Your video is by far the best I have seen with both explaining AND demonstrating a basic way to do this (although it looks super high end and not basic). :)
I have one question, did you keep wetting your brush or the canvas during the first round of adding the drywall? Especially when using the brush, it looks like it goes on so easy compared to what I am doing.
Hope all is well! Thanks for sharing your talent!
Omg, hi!!! Thank you so much for this amazing comment. I’m sooooo happy you have discovered painting on canvas.
I put the drywall compound on with the spatula then feathered it out with a wet brush. You can always add more water to your drywall compound if it’s seeming dry or too hard to work with.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. If it seems like you need more water, add more water. If it’s too wet - let it sit for a bit. You got this 💖
Whitney, one day when I have time I will come back and tell how this video saved me on a verytight deadline. Thank you! #NewSubbie.💜
you did a great job!
Thank you Victoria 💫🥰
Beautiful yes trash into treasures
Question: where did you get the large paint brush? Love it
Thank you! I got that paint brush from Michaels!
@@WhitneyBaldwin
Ur very welcome☺️
Ok awesome I’ll go 2 Michaels :)))

you muddied up your colors. Too much blending. Keep practicing.
Dear T,
Thank you so much for your invaluable artistic wisdom 👌🏻
@@WhitneyBaldwin well ive been painting over 25 yrs sorry if i insulted u. Not intended
Girl your eye brows are too circular. You can have someone do them professionally with a more angular effect!
Lmaooo. That’s what you got out of this video?! How can you even see the shape of my eyebrows when they are halfway under my hat? Anywho - I’m down for a brow makeover.. want to come do them for me?
@@WhitneyBaldwin you stunning so was your painting
Thank you Thandeka 🥰💖
@@WhitneyBaldwin unfortunately am not a micro blader but am sure you can find a good one! My lady said my eyebrows look like 80’s eyebrows and when I looked in the mirror I had to agree. 😅
i will NEVER ever understand this 'form' of art. its nothing but something... which I don't understand. to me it isn't anywhere near art.
