Hello I don't consider myself an artist, nor am I a diyer. But, you have inspired me to at least try numbers 1 and 3. I really think I can do this. Thank you for sharing your art. Absolutely beautiful!
I've done a similar project to number 3 but on new canvases and the weight of the spackle makes the frame warp so it doesn't sit flat to the wall, using the back of an existing frame is so clever as it won't bend. Especially if you're sourcing old frames from thrift shops. It's more resourceful, cheaper AND more effective. I'm inspired to do more now :)
These are all absolutely gorgeous - I was looking to buy an artwork to fill this big open wall space in the living room, but figured I can DIY something instead. That way I can get crafty, display something I’m proud of (assuming if it turns out well), and can save a lot of $$ too. Thinking of going either the second or third design😊
Mon, I really enjoy your videos. I am a single, recently retired male who is in the process of downsizing from a rural medium sized house to a 2 bedroom condo in the city. I want to make the new space as "stylish" as possible on a budget and your videos stand out for me in the large sea of interior design RUclips videos. Thank you for your channel and hoping for much more inspiration in future.
@@HomeByMon Yes, I am sure they will help :). I also am making an Ikea list of some of your suggestions for when I next get there (it is actually a 2 hour ferry and then 1 hour drive so not "convenient" but it is on the route to my new condo so all good. BTW are you ever going to do a Q&A.. I noticed your location says North Macedonia so am sure some viewers are interested in your life and country. I am curious as to how your English is so good since I don't think it is that common in Macedonia? But perhaps I am wrong:). Best regards from Canada
@@drdavebrooks The main reason why I started this channel is that Ikea is not a convenient ride for me too 😅 So when I go to Ikea I usually feel so overwhelmed. A list makes so much sense, I am doing the same thing 👍 And yes, I come from a small county in Europe, and trust me I am not confident about my English at all. Especially when I have to talk without my script. But I am getting there. Maybe I can do a Q&A in the future. I will think about it 😊
Thank you I’ve been trying to figure out away to do some texture paintings and you have gave me the best ideas for me to start and I have all the stuff
Wow that fabric piece is gorgeous I love it, I may do something like this for my bedroom but on a larger scale. I actually liked it better before you painted it with plaster, I may have left it nd just painted it with a glossy see through paint of some sort
Yes, I just moved in to a new place and have a bare wall. It’s so hard to choose something, so I will be making a piece of my own using your techniques 😁
Well, of course your would have a beige/black/white color-coordinated pup, too. Mars has the most beautiful big dark eyes. My favs were the 2nd and 3rd pieces. You have such clever ideas for wall art. I am re-doing my home and I'm so thankful for your IKEA ideas and these art projects. You've given me some really good cost-saving ideas. Thanks.
Hahahaha yes, Mars fits the color palette so good 🤣 It was not intentional, I promise 😅 And I am so glad you liked my art DIYs. I want to do a bigger version of the second one, since it turned out so good. It's my favorite one too 😊💕
Thank you for sharing,I've been wanting to try out texured artwork I think this has been the best simple way to show someone how to quickly and easily create this type of art, building one's confidence and then taking it to the next level I love your style of teaching us your way by observing other artist how they do it and you devised your own method.Thsmk you for sharing,I'm so excited to do this.I came across an artist that explained using plaster that is used for tiles ,then your post came up and I'm glad I watched yours because I am inspired by you so much more. Not many people would share what you have ,in the way you have, real basic steps that creates cool abstract art.😀
@@CC-bw2rp Hello there 🙌 You would usually use plaster for filling small holes or gaps in walls. And you can buy it in any store that sells wall paint or home building stuff ☺️
#2- I’m not into neutral colors so much but I like this idea. I might try it using different colors & motifs of Indian sari fabrics I collect. I think it would look really cool!
I love all your projects and the last one was a classic absolutely beautiful with that adorable looking dog the blend was absolutely fabulous I love your work very creative I love to do plaster myself. Keep up the beautiful work.
Hello Im trying to do similar projects to the ones from the video and I was wondering how I can make plaster by myself. Could You tell me which ingredients did you use?
Your videos are the perfect combination of relaxing and interesting 💜 You sound cheerful and friendly without the fake over excitement that many content creators do.

I’ve been thinking about making some sort of wall art using fabric + Mod Podge - and that’s how I found this video! Your video was funny - about two years ago, I decided to cover an inexpensive framed piece of art with joint compound and make some sort of design in it - and I actually used one of my boyfriend’s combs 😂. I cleaned it very well - and he had no idea! I actually bought a replacement one a few days later - but there’s no way anyone would be able to tell that it was used to make some new wall art! I can’t imagine that he’d ever be on RUclips watching a video like this, but if he does, sorry honey!
Hahahah that's such a funny coincidence! Us both having that framed piece of art and we both did it with the bf comb and he had no clue 😂 I love it! I haven't replaced his hair comb yet, maybe this is my sign to do it 🤭💞
I love them all especially the one with fabric. I am wanting to do a wall art with fabric. Does it work with any kind of fabric and If not can you suggest the type of fabric I should use. Thank you!
I'm so glad I found your channel, I had saved some photos of artwork similar to your inspiration art but wasn't sure where to start to do it myself. I do have a question, is it possible to tint the joint compound to the color you want before putting it on the canvas so that you don't have to paint it?
I'm so happyyou liked my DIYs 🥰 I've done that but woth drywall mud. I tinted the mud with some liquid piqments and it worked. However, I am not sure about the joint compound or plaster. But you can test it out on a piece of cardboard with a smaller amount first. The one concern I have is that it messes up the consistency and it doesn't cure well, or it cracks. But if you test it out let me know 🥰
Hi! Have you ever used plywood instead of canvas? Do you know if plaster would adhere to it? Thank you so much! These are so beautiful and super super helpful.
Hi. My first time watching your video. I didn't mind the mellowing music. Inspirational ideas for abstract shapes, instead making 2D acrylic paintings. I was thinking, pressing the dried seed stalks into Project #3 would have been interesting.

Honestly they are so easy to make. Especially the 3rd one. So I say go for it! 🤗💖
…also, is there a specific plaster you recommend?
On the third painting…do you think a spray bottle with the paint would have helped with better or, easier coverage?
I would love to see an art piece using the limewash technique.
Thanks!
