Your honesty about everything makes your painting even more inspiring and amazing. A true artist is never afraid to be judged because it is their passion that matters. I feel so encouraged to try this style for my very first work. God bless you with more sales on your beautiful work.
Well I am grateful for the fact that RUclips makes suggestions based on your viewing history because this is the first time I’ve run across your videos and this is what I’ve been looking for due to what I personally want to learn to paint. I love the texture and how you just did this. This is the kind of stuff you pay for a print of in a furniture store for $500 lol. I’m going to do my own for my own house in my own colors, thank you!🎉
Exactly what I wanted to say!!!!!! We just retired to Florida. I’m so interested now in creating my own abstract paintings with texture and wanted to use some sand and ocean colors to make some pieces for my new beach home. I just didn’t know how. Haha
Thank you for being so Transparent and sharing your techniques and ideas with others. I greatly appreciate it. I can't wait to try this form of Art....super excited, again thanks so much!!
I get inspired & enthusiastic when watching your furniture videos and appreciate your genuine honesty! Love this one and your willingness to share all that you do.
I am enthralled with your process. If you get one of the large silicone pet pads, and put it at the edge of your canvas, you could scrape up nearly all the paint that you pull off the canvas. I use them to cover my work surface when I'm working with epoxy and molds. Bless you sweet lady for sharing your process with us!
You can get extra large silicone mats for surface coverage where, as another viewer mentioned, when you scrape across canvas the extra paint can then be used for another project. I’m a mess when I paint/resin 😂 Several shopping platforms sell them.
I tried this technique! Do not use old tile adhesive! It doesn’t fully dry and remains very, very tacky! 😂 The only way I could save the expensive canvas was to attach gift bag tissue. After that, I used Gesso and after drying, I am ready to paint. Whew! 😂
I love painting on canvas it's very relaxing you forget all your problems it's like you become one with the painting abstract is fun and messy you get to be a child lol and I never know what it's going to be come
I have joint compound (all I had on hand) smeared all over three canvases. Hope they will look half as nice as this when I am done! Beautiful. I watched this a year ago when you posted it and keep going back.
I just tried this over the course of two days, and mine looks similar but my own style and who knew I had one! This is my first time ever painting and I just appreciated your honesty, tips and guidance. It looks like everything I wanted in a dining room hanging and I can't believe I did it. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for sharing your process. I found the tips on photographing and listing your art so valuable. I don’t know of anyone else who has shared such practical knowledge. You really make us realize that we CAN sell our art. Again, I can’t thank you enough!
I live in Austria, love your tutorials, I think they would love it if I tell them I got the idea from Blacksheep, I am going to paint a little black sheep somewhere , haha. Be blessed.
Thanks so much for this! My first truly textured abstract painting is on my wall. Cost no more than $35 for a 36 x 36 inch beauty on my bedroom wall. Needed a large light colored something to brighten one corner of my freshly dark walls. Just lovely!
Honestly can't thank you enough for your generous unfussy video. So much to love here! I adore abstract art and want to give it a go, for my own sake as a lovely hobby, and also a nice side hustle to get creative again. You've put my mind at rest, given me confidence to dive in ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow you've got to be kidding! People buy this canvas with paint on it? Thank you for the idea. I'll let my 6-year-old great-grandchild create one. Looks like fun for her.
So funny because I have been eyeing a painting with this exact look but different colors. I screen shot it today and voila-your video popped up in my feed. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I cannot wait to give it a try! I loved your final project!
Thanks so much for showing this entire process. Incredibly useful info, especially how you photograph your art piece. So clever, and I wouldn't have thought about doing that. I too am a renter and don't have a cool wall to photograph against, so very very helpful. Also, I absolutely love your artwork!
I love the fearless way you approach all your projects and clever way you adapt in order to sell your stuff: driveway as background! Genius! I hope you make enough to buy your own house one day!
I'm an artist and I gotta tell ya, that is pretty good. Being random isn't easy, even tho it looks easy. The mind wants to be neat or systematic so kudos gurl. You can use a nail or a sharp needle like clay tool to scratch into the painting too.
Thank you for doing this art piece. I’ve always wanted to do art and try and sell it. I painted when I was young and got away from it. Thanks for the tips on how to sell on Facebook marketplace and how to stage them.
I tried this and I love it! It is hanging in my dining room! I look forward to more like this.
I see you just had the 2 oz bottles of each kind but that was really enough? Just wondering if you have an 8 oz bottle off-camera :)

You are killing it girl! I love this tutorial! Thanks for keeping it real and simple!
I have learned so much by watching your furniture videos!!!! This is a bonus to learn about this style of painting!
Adding the bronze brought out the blue of the black and makes the contrast even more exciting. I love it!
First time this technique was explained so well. Thank you! 💕

another texture is a sponge dabbed. It can create peaks and pocks that can be knocked down or left spiked. The same technique is used on ceilings.
What an awesome informative video! I love your ingenuity on taking pics on your driveway. Thank you for sharing all of this.
