Great video sir.
I rebuild a lot of 2 cycle engines. I would advise if you do more to invest in a tool to allow you to pressure test the crankcase. With a saw that requires this much disassembly/reassembly it sucking to get to the end only to find out the crankcase is sucking air.
Again great video, keep up the good work 👍
I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
Flywheel - a wheel that decided to fly away. Nice to see a two-stroke running so clean. Keep on making content!
Thanks, will do!
Dangerous dude
@@josephterv9202 it just brake
It was the clutch mechanism that went flying off.....the flywheel is the finned round object on the other side of the machine, the one he did not torque up to spec. Unless he did it off camera, he should have thoroughly cleaned the carb out too, with new gaskets and diaphragm and seals. He also should of checked the cylinder bore for wear, and also the piston and rings.
I like your videos because are very SILENT! No talk...no stupid music etc. I really enjoy them!!
I'm glad you like them! Thank you!

I always thought electric screwdrivers were overrated. until I saw you screwing apart that handle, lovely tool!
The best restoration videos. Absolutely love these.
In your country, there are probably no broken electrical tools left, since you are engaged in internal combustion engines. 😉Thanks for the video, great job!
Nice to see quality tools restored instead of replacing with cheap Chinese junk well done great results 👍
Very2 good video.. original made in japan product is very good quality in the world, like husqvarna, stihl
Strange muffler placement on that saw. My favorite part of these videos is seeing brands I've never heard of before. Good work.
Where do the lithium ion batteries go? Just kidding 😂. Fantastic work! It looks like it was never serviced!
good work with the cleaning and repairing, and very good work with the filming, I enjoy your videos, thank you. And like someone else already mentioned, thank you for not using music
Cool, thanks! I'm glad you like this video.
Loved the way you made a special socket.good restoration
my congratulations with first internal combustion engine restore on channel!
Nice that you go all eletric or all 2 stroke! love it
Thank you!
You do an amazing restoration, please make more 2cycle chainsaws restorations!! Greetings from Croatia!!
Hey, at 18:35, when you mounted engine on the frame, was there supposed to be a some kind of metal plate between bolts and frame? At least you took away some kind of plate at disassembly. And at 25:50....Autobots, let's roll :)
Love the videos. I am curious, how many hours do you have in restoring these projects?
Big support nice video
Thanks for coming
I am first my friend and nice to your video
Yes you are, thank you!
I like your video because you restore the things not restore the paint only👍👍👍👍
Niiiiiice! Brand new! Well done buddy!
Thanks and welcome!
Maybe you didn't show it, but can be a good idea to wipe a little 2 stroke oil on the cylinder before reassembly.
Dear friend you did a great job. I also got a same machine. but it's oil pump doesno't work please can you teach me how to solve this problem?
09:00, if I ever do this to a socket wrench, my father would end my existence.
Haha, buy a new one.
LOL
That's why you always buy extras!!
New subscriber of the channel love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩 and nice video
The screws backplate that was removed at 10:32 was left out in reassembly (18:37).

Nice video
Thank you!
Another satisfying video before sleep....😃
Sorry for my criticism. But now I think you're the 10 or 11 I'm looking at here on YouTupe who is restoring a chainsaw. Unfortunately, you join the ranks of the amateurs. The reason for this is that you are not using new crankshaft bearings (at least no one sees you changing them), you are installing a new oil seal instead of both. But the biggest and hardest point is that you glue the old cylinder base gasket back in with sealing compound.
That is botch and sloppiness in the highest degree. It continues with the carburetor. No new membranes, needles or fuel hoses. Not even cleaned or cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. And you have a really good ultrasonic bath there. Unfortunately, the chain guide can no longer be used (mount at 20:46). The chain is only working on this even more.
I'll let you get away with using the old spark plug again. You can't do it well with such a restoration.
I don't know if I saw wrong, but it looked like you used the old air filter. Another point that you normally don't do.
What is inevitably noticeable is that you have not cleaned any of the two tanks and have replaced the filters in them. Neither the chain oil tank nor the tank for the gasoline-oil mixture.
That's supposed to be the end of the criticism. I'm sorry and don't mean it badly. But it just hurts the soul of an old mechanic like me to see something like that. And please, to all of the people reading this, please don't hold it against me. It's just a review
Hey man, fantastic work, can you find Old Alpina A40 and do the restoration, that would be so helpful for me and big amouth of us, vintage chainsaw users
You are genius
How long did u restoration this machine Mr Gear show ?

That saw was in great shape. Only had to replace the primer bulb. Did it really start on the first pull once you got it back together?

taking the sparkplug out with an impact wrench 😬😬 that's bold. I guess if the cylinder is shot anyway it doesn't matter.

Very nice 👍
Excellent project. I liked it ! My idol !
nice job, all but one thing, you didn't put the oiler drive on the crank.
Your videos are superb, as always!
Hi carburetor cleaning? :) repairkit? Nice job :) 👏
grouse work on that good old Chainsaw and to me it looks like a early 90s type of Chainsaw possibly made in Japan too but yeah all good quality back then if i am not mistaken on it,s make of the year etc.
Good job well done
What do you use to clean the grease from metal parts and plastic? Great video💪
I'm glad you like it. I clean those parts with water and detergent powder.

2:41 Bicycle technologies in a chainsaw. Usually, on the contrary, a chainsaw is used as an engine for a bicycle.
Nice restore
Yes, thanks
Next Level, nice 👍
Almost like new👍
video rất hay, cám ơn bạn
Great video but why no new chain?
great job as always !! like👍
Missing those Li-ion batteries and the BMSs... 💔💔
I enjoyed the video but would not call this a restauration.
Restoration
@@Tittles-nv4vz Correct, my mistake.
Rebuild is what I would call it
25:44 bro the clutch 😂💀
You should find a bunch of motors that still work but the rest of the machines are beyond repair, and then create a decorative floating magnet thing. Just hook up magnets to the motors and when they spin, you can get metal to float. You could even have a floating table or something.
Always perfect
Thank again!
the gasket could usage some trim, and assembly lube on the piston and such.
You don't bring out any assembly lube for an off-brand $65 chainsaw.
I have never seen assembly lube, used on any small engines, a 2 cycle would have to burn it out, correct ?
@@davidhamm5626 I don't know, people seem to lube the piston and stuff during assembly.
@@ricande thats a tanaka ecs 3351 indestructible chainsaw. Best in its class 30 years ago, better than many of the new top brand saws.
25:46 "Ну, нахер, я сваливаю." 😂
Точняк 👍😂

Como salida de fabrica... espectacular...
How do u remember all the parts what goes where? Or u know every machine?
All machine parts are logically connected.

Sorry but this to me more like a repair and clean. But good job though 👍
Amazing. Just amazing.
