    Thanks for the lesson. I'm still getting familiar with my i-pilot. One thing I'd like to add, if I may. On another video that I was watching, I learned that when you are following a recorded track, you can actually engage "cruise control" in order to maintain a specific speed while following the track. Amazing stuff!! Thanks again!!

    Great How To Record a Track video Cody! That was some great insight as I honestly didn't know you could do this with the Minn Kota I-pilot! Great tips on how the slight turns can affect your lures and trigger bites! That was a key PFD safety point! Another great video and Thanks for sharing! Semper Fi!

      Thanks Jim, recording a track is something I do quite a bit, because it makes it so enjoyable when you're by yourself, to not have to worry about steering and managing the boat while trolling... Yeah, those slight turns can really pay off. I'm pretty big on making sure we wear pfd's when the big motor is running. It's required in most tournaments, so just a good habit I've adopted even when not tournament fishing. Semper Fi brother!

      @@OutdoorQuests That all makes sense! I have never fished a tournament so that would be fun!

    Great video. I have a new similar set up that I’m trying to get familiar with. What I’m reading and hearing. This option is not possible unless you have the i-Pilot Link. It’s nearly impossible to get a straight answer for this.

      To simply record a track, you don't need Link, just i-Pilot. Link allows your Minn Kota trolling motor to communicate with your Humminbird chart plotter.

      Makes sense from what you just showed in the video. It seams like the link has more options. Is there a cost effective conversion without purchasing and whole new motor ?

    Just watched your video. Good job. I just got my I-pilot for the powerdrive. When you record multiple tracks then you want to go to a track you recorded earlier. If you’re not in range it will not show on the remote correct?

      Thank you for watching and your feedback, I really appreciate it. On mine, which is a little older (2018 model Ultrex with i-Pilot), it'll record up to six tracks, each up to 2 miles. It shows me my last 6 recorded tracks, even if they're on different lakes over 100 miles away. I don't typically re-run my old tracks. I record new tracks, based on the time of year and where I'm locating fish that day. Hope that helps.

    Can you do this without a humming bird fish finder?

    • @OutdoorQuests
      @OutdoorQuests  8 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely, it's all done by the Ultrex trolling motor for recording the track.

    How do you save the itrack? Do you just hit stop?. I tried this and it worked the same day but the next day the track was gone from memory.

    • @OutdoorQuests
      @OutdoorQuests  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, hitting stop saves the track. I couldn't say why though yours didn't save to memory. The track I showed in the video that I had saved, were there from the year prior. It should keep it indefinitely, or until you delete it or until you record over it with a new track.
