I received my first 24 Certate a few days ago, and I love it! This is a 4000. Previously spoiled by several 22 Exist and a pair of 23 Airity. Btw are you all left handed over there ? 😂😂😂
Hi TackleWest can you tell me what different of the Daiwa 19 Certae 5000 and 24 Certate 5000 ? and both the same price in Australia why ? Please explain . Thank you for your time
hey i just received mine today, the 5000 model, but it makes weird noise when reeling, kind of like the gear and bearing is not properly greased or something, hard to describe but i was wondering if you encountered the same experience? thanks in advance.
why why why why would Aussies automatically go and chance the handle to the right side?? are you all left handed?? rod should go on the dominant hand!!
@@gabrielduarte3904 reeling with your non dominant hand makes more sense but i guess we just do it how we are taught and for some reason in australia we are taught to use our dominant for reeling. another stupid thing about the way we do it is that we often cast with our right and then switch the rod to our left hand to start reeling with our right. anyway it’s just what feels most comfortable for me.
wow, that's a critical flaw.... and in God's glorious name how or why could you ever accidentally reverse screw 3 or 3 1/2 turns of a reel handle, short of transporting and making more compact? Give it a little umph on that last half turn, it will never betray you!
I wont be buying any reel that cannot hold at least 300 meters of line it just something i think is most important for me personally , it looks like a great small real for bream and flathead .
I had a vanquish 23 5000, after 1 usage started to hear bearing noise. Also was the smoothest reel out of the box but again once the grease wore in it became way less smooth. Certate retains its smoothness.
@@danielwutfisho Catch and cook has a review on Daiwa vs the Vanquish.. in that video he managed to land several cownose rays on the 1000sspg fine without issues or the frame flexing under load. Not to mention the new duracross drag system now gives you both the advantage of carbon and felt drag washer systems. After catching Mangrove Jacks and GTs as by catch nothing wrong with my 1000sspg? I don't know if you service your own reels but after the recent service of my reels I'm starting to really see flaws in Daiwas internals and drag systems... My Saltist 4000 is already having issues after being spooled by a serious fish and it's the same drag stack and system in the certate and saltiga too. Never knew that the drag pin could dislodge itself and Lodge itself at the top of the reel, not to mention it's a flimsy peice of thin steel that corrodes very easily. That can't happen in a Shimano as the drag stack is designed completely different. Markberg at Tackle addiction was sponsored by Daiwa, Have you ever asked him why he isn't or doesn't sell Daiwa anymore?
@@samasimOFsh All reels can have problems mate, I'm sure the vanquish is a good reel but I'm commenting on my experience or the example that I got. Shimano has had some issues with ball bearings recently and you'll know from recent buyers that even the made in japan reels have had this. The duracross system is a good upgrade, and of course the magnesium frame will not flex just like daiwa's airity. Again I am commenting on my example, I have not had the best experience with Shimano. Daiwa reels remain unserviceable by yourself but luckily I live quite close to their HQ in Australia.
you forgot to mention, its a lighter oil which isnt as durable as the previous so you will need to get it serviced 2x a year instead off every couple off years. its great though, the good certates are already cheaper. when reels were real im buying steez A and sv and certates before their gone. evolution in technology has been declining since 2016 for profit and pushing conceived concepts that dont change things when fishing. light reels need to buy a 900 dollar rod to balance correctlty, less inertia turning the handle doesnt change the handle turn when the lure is retreived, more power doesnt break records since the reels in the 80s were beyond strong enough
Dawg, people who buy this reel know how to change the handle, people who buy this reel know the reel can go in the black cloth bag, wtf are you talking about? Why are you wasting my time? Like lol dude tell me about the friggin reel
Men reel industry is sad nowadays,no innovation, not outstanding designs or colors. Just one little gimmick feature here and there and 50$-70$ more. Such a disappointment to be honest.
@@Elias-xu7uwIt's a bit true for the Certate 24 vs 19 Certate. But they innovated heaps with the introduction of Monocoque body in the 16/19. Pre MQ reels feel like sh*t to fish. People say older certates and luvias are better reels but it's not true at all.
You are quite wrong. Spin reels have become smoother and lighter than ever before.. I don't know what your saying. There's alot of money and development that go into these reels. And that is the definition of innovation.
@@danielwutfisho yeah myself i have the 24 certate, okuma tesoro. And caldia sw 2022. All are amazing reels. And for boat my shimano talica 16 the new version it is amazing
The Daiwa Certate looks a bit ugly IMHO..... Mind you, I try to limit my rod and reel to a maximum of $50 for both and used at that.... If a person can't catch fish on a $50 setup then that individual doesn't know what fishing is really about. It's not about how much one spends but fishing is more about catching fish on a limited budget. Myself, I tend to lean towards Shimano reels but then again I buy whatever is on sale at the end of the season to save a few bucks....
The Stella FK is the smoothest reel ever produced in the history of spin reels. I'm a daiwa fan but its true facts. Exist doesn't look cheap at all though 🤔
It's just a silly spinning reel……, where's the skill of casting a spinner…?……. None whatsoever.!! Now, ... Conventional reels, ... if you don't have an educated and skilled thumb, ...you won't be able to cast a conventional reel…! For those that keep buying spinners... We know you guys can't cast... The worst thing about spinners is the line twist it creates… and will result in a “bird's nest”…. Yes, that's exactly what I said…have seen this so many times...not good at all… Don't get this wrong.. I do own very nice spinners... I just don't care to use them anymore…I prefer the significant distance I get over a spinner... hands down…!
You could argue that a conventional reel is easier in terms of the work load once you get used to it. But why even argue? Let people use what they want and like.

Way cool you can tell how smooth the drag is by simply handling the reel. 😵💫
Is this better than the 22 exist? Kindly please let me know coz i cant decide which one to acquire. Thanks a lot
Is the new air rotor made of alloy or Zaion material?

No we haven’t encountered any issues yet with thresw
Did you get yours fixed or replaced? I’m having the same issue with a 2500 fc lt.

You are prolly one of those that fish a baitcaster and reel with the right hand & then pick up a spinning combo and reel with the left hand!
Because they want to. Why, why, why do you care?
Dose the handle from the 2024 Certate fit on the 2019 Certate??
Yes, I just did it. 😅
Nice refresh I agree, then serious inflation hit versus my 2019😅 at least in old Europe. Thanks for the demo.
Should i get the 2000p or 2000h?
Nice Video! Appreciate your content! Thanks for sharing!
Boa tarde pode me dizer se este modelo tem uma roda plástico dentro? Obrigado
Waiting for the bigger models
Same SW 6000 i gonna be gold
Any date for the sw model.?
Plastic rotor?
The same thing on Daiwa exist 😂
I don’t like that the handle only takes 3 or 3-1/2 turns to tighten the handle. Shimano’s and other reels take 5 or more.

Not better than the best of the best, but not far behind!
Half the price.... 🤑🤑🤑💰
My 23 saltiga 6k doesn't run nearly as smooth as the Certate SW 6000. It's a shame. Must be because of the metal rotor.

The “D” models are a deep spool that will hold 300mt
