Actually now that you mention it, the house did smell like onions the night I recorded this. I felt nauseous and almost gave up, but I had a ginger tea to calm my stomach and, like any A student, convinced myself that my life would be utterly meaningless if I didn't complete this. So here we are.

Thanks so much! Sometimes I listen to piano arrangements for inspiration, but I actually think harp and piano can be quite different. A lot of pianists seem to take a more rhythmic approach when they do this song, which doesn't work well with harp IMO. Hence the endless arpeggios haha.

I just stumbled across your channel - glad I was wearing my thick-soled boots at the time because of all these dang brambles - and I'm making may way through a bunch of your vids. Great work here! I'm hoping you'll go Aquatic Ambience someday. I wouldn't have guessed that would be a logical fit for a harp, but then I did notice that you've also got Jellyfish Sea in your repertoire (I haven't listened to it yet, but it's coming up!), which seems at least as far from my expectations as Aquatic Ambience.

I thought guitar or piano was my favorite, but you just keep proving me wrong. I'm going to learn harp. DKC2 is another one of my childhood favorites, and I feel like I just can't hear this song any other way! You're incredible, and I love your music.

Huh, again, never played this one, but this is not the type of music I'd expect from DK... Very nice rhythm in this one, especially at the start, before it gets going properly. Yay musical diversity! =)
I actually never heard DKC music until quite recently and was surprised too. There are a lot of really calming, ethereal tunes, this being one of them 💙
