"WE DON'T USE THE PINKY ?"
violinists brains explode in jealousy
I too thought, for a second, that I should have learnt the harp instead of the violin! My pinky is my weak point

I get requests for this a lot for weddings 😂
Nah, period instrument Canon is the only Canon

It's either they're just musically gifted, or just naturally fast learners. They never fail to impress.

Exactly , that was I missing😂😂😂😂
Man, Brett has some seriously strong fingers. First LH pizz, then guzheng, now harp. And Eddy has such a good ear and impressive memory. A formidable duo, and a beautiful instrument.
Lovely comment!
Yes I agree! Brett usually has better tone and Eddy usually remembers how to play more of the notes!
@@angelawang7365 Both of which are good traits to have as musicians :D

Also, this is kinda unrelated but this last Spring, I got 2nd place in a concerto competition and this fall I get to perform the first movement of Lyra Angelica with my youth symphony! TwoSet inspred me to practce and compete for the first time and I just want to thank you guys for all your content and hard work :)
Oh wow, well done you!
Congratulations!
Hey that’s amazing! I’m so happy for you :D
Another harpist...yay!
Nice, congrats!!
Tijana really knows how to teach two "sometimes kid, sometimes grandpa" guys who looked so disappointed when she said they're gonna play Pachelbel's Canon in D
Playing a harp can be elegant, but watching Brett and Eddy playing the harp becomes hilarious 😂😂😂😂
As a harpist, I want to say that you guys did great for your intro lesson. But more than that, she is obviously a wonderful teacher!
Just for clarification harp isn't only elegant instrument. There is atonal music for it and you can even drum on it.
Drumming on harp? I'd love to see that!
@@brendan1888 go check: Pearl Chertok Around the clock. It has a lot of different techniques that people usually don't associate with harp.

@Gavin Conant he sound and kinda act like a grandpa sometime, not in a bad way though!
As a harpist, I’m glad to finally see TSV give it a try. Side note: I’m jealous of her callouses because I literally cannot callous 😭

Try it, you'll love it!
Yeah like really. Should know it's well.
And this is how another musician could be born... TSV are SO influential and inspiring. I'm about to start the violin thanks to them... Someone told me to rub my fingers in builders sand to toughen up my fingers. Same for a harpist too mebee?

Yeah. As a harpist, learning for the first time or practicing for too long HURTS. BURNS. BLOOD BLISTERS.
especially during the summer when I dont practice at all. then school starts and when I play i get so many blisters 😭
Got 1 on my hand now, been there for 2 weeks. aaarg !
Sometimes you can use the liquid band aide to harden the fingers before playing.

05:18 Harp 101: "Remember, you wanna be flipping people off."
Man, I should have been playing harp all along.
It's a crime that we didn't hear Tijana perform the whole piece
I want to see them learn a woodwind instrument (PLEASE CLARINET)! Then they would have to learn from the very beginning, not already half know how to play! (*With Bretts "Beginner vs Pro clarinettist"-video in mind*) It would be very fun to see, please!
Yes definitely, and other woodwind instruments too!
give them a break and make it an alto sax
And classical guitar !
Bass clarinet. The best part of the clarinet and the best part of the saxophone.
Argh clarinets hard. Worse when reed breaks and don't have a extra one.
honestly, let's start a petition where every single instrument they learn, they'll learn canon in d just to have them suffer
Thats mean
That's just too cruel! 😆😂😂😂
Yes baby, canon in D on the french horn 😂
Canon in D on the triangle
Brett's little tounge😛 at 4:04 is soo cute❤
Okay; TS learning Canon in D on the harp has made my year (except it didn't sound anything like Canon in D, LOL).
I love how they always PLAY Canon in D after saying how much they hate it.
And, last but not least, I adore these two, but I have never seen two such delicate men in my life!
Man Brett's got fingers of steel, no wonder he's good at LH pizz (or maybe he got fingers of steel from practicing that)! He actually had a nice tone on the harp. And Eddy's pitch memory will never fail to impress.
They really could be a whole orchestra at this point.
Key takeaway on how to play the harp properly: constantly flip people off 🤣
1:28 Brett is really cute koala bear mommy
is anyone gonna talk about how eddy always pull his sleeves so that it covers a half of his fingers?
But i want to see brett play his lofi on the harp if its possible XDD
Classical musicians: "Oh, Canon in D is such an overplayed classical piece"
Me, a barbarian: "Oh, they're playing the instrumental version of Maroon 5's Memories again!"
Ohhhh I want to see Edwina play the harp!! I miss her goddess like golden hair so much! She'd better play it with that dress that sounds like Mahler 5 on and comb her golden hair nicely!
So Harpists are those people that look nice and cute sounding but secretly flips you off constantly.
As a harpist I have to say: You guys did pretty well! 😊 Also, I have the same harp model (do you call it like that? :D) like Tijana, also in black, and that‘s kinda making me proud 😂

Hey gang!
I can't wait to share this with my wife! She plays the Celtic (folk) harp and I've shared many TwoSet videos with her including ones about learning other instruments. I know she'll enjoy this one.
did you share the video with your wife? what was her reaction?
9:17

brett: i'm psycho *in cute way of concentration
The facial expression on both their faces when they heard Canon In D.
It is so cute how most people get afraid when they are told to tilt the Harp, like they are worried it was gonna fall down on them or something :') but you did an amazing job! The posture might actually be one of the hardest/exhausting things playing the harp (at least it was for me when I started to learn this instrument) but you did very well I think :) (I am curious how they would react to a triple harp or a double harp)
6:49 is my phone alarm and when I heard it here it did something to me.
My sister won a harp scholarship to the Eastman School of Music.
She became the harp faculty at the University of Colorado-Denver, first call union harpist in Denver, and played with the Colorado-Denver Symphony Orchestra.
Also had a successful harp studio and had 17 harps for the students to use.
She just recently retired.
Her husband is a retired, after 34yrs, cellist with the Colorado-Denver Symphony Orchestra. Also retired principal cellist after 25yrs with the Colorado Central City Opera Orchestra.
I love seeing Brett and Eddy learning something new they're so eager to learn and doing their best
Their brain when she said they were going to teach them Canon in DiVoRcE : 1:19 for reference :))))
Yeeeee the Boyz are back to other instruments. But Lingling can already play everything perfectly...
I died inside with Brett and Eddy when Tijana said “Canon in D” but icl it actually sounds nice on the harp 😂
Tijana : "It's not [painful] at all"
The calluses on her fingers : We beg to differ
O my god I am so happy that you paid attention to my instrument!! As a harpist, I am offended that such a wonderful instrument is rarely mentioned anywhere
6:01 was how I always felt like whenever I was in a harp lesson.
TwoSet's comment section has always been my favorite, I learn and laugh so much! Thanks for Brett and Eddie, Editor-san of course, and you all! What a community that we have here 🥰
Well yeah - Watch the vid in 10mins but spend 30 reading through the comments before going back to rewatch the vid... I love this community as well

I wish they make a series of these "We Try Learning (Instrument) in One Hour". Its amazing to see how the two of them learn relatively fast! Also, as a non-musician, these videos gives me a lot of appreciation to the instrument and the amount of effort of the musicians put in playing them.
this is already a series
@Anya Tseytlin I already did, and i want more! Thank you for reminding me... now I'll binge watch again! My favorite is when they learned the guzhen.
Being a harpist this actually makes me really happy because even though it’s a big instrument it’s normally over shined by other instruments.
I’m just picturing Brett playing his “hEeèêëheēę” Vienna Concert Hall sound effect on the harp and now it physically hurts to laugh
You just know that TwoSet missed their friends by having them appear in each of their videos after going home to Brisbane..
I hoped for a harp-video for so long! I just started learning the harp myself so it´s wonderful to see you trying it.
I love Brett’s hands🥺🥺🥺🥺
How many times are you going to try being biling-lingual with many instrument?? The viola’s an option btw
video suggestion time: When are we gonna see twoset learn the guqin in an hour? :)) it's one of my favourite instruments and I'm just waiting here sipping bbt waiting for my idea to materialise.
Brett and Eddy surely be needing some bubble tea after learning the harp and playing it! But they both played very well for their first time. LingLing is slightly proud of both of them!
I wish they showed the calluses on Tijana's hand...
TSV faces when concentrating is utterly precious and hilarious XD
Next time you guys should learn an instrument with someone who speak a language you don't understand lol Just imagine the level of confusion!
Your prophecy came true lol
@@user-et2mn1tc3x OMG that's true! I actually forgot about this lol Thanks for bringing it up!
She is such a nice person. Seems so patient. Another great content. Thank you guys!
One thing I really appreciate about such videos is that, both of these guys are amazing at the violin, but it still takes time to understand the dynamics of another instrument. As someone who teaches Guitar and Piano, I have often had students who think it's easy to learn another instrument once you have learnt one.
These videos are great, they help raise awareness of all the beautiful instruments there are. This might inspire many kids to pick up classical music, which is amazing!
I can't think of anything to say except how much I love this channel. :D You guys are awesome!
i love this series so much, its iconic
