      We were gifted one of these Florida Cranberry shrubs. It flowered this am, will it die off after budding and flowering ?

    You need to edit the title this is not the Cranberry Hibiscus. It is Roselle.

    • @sovereignsoul
      @sovereignsoul 5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, they are roselle. Jamaican sorrel and roselle refer to the same plant, specifically Hibiscus sabdariffa. Cranberry hibiscus leaves look like a burgundy maple leaf (burgundy when the light is adequate; in shade they are green).

      Yes @ sierrarazevich1962 you can. The roots are not aggressive or a problem like that. Do the plants die out each season? Do you have to replant, thanks. I'm in zone 9b, FL

    • @EatYourBackyard
      @EatYourBackyard  3 года назад +2

      You have to replant each season. However, the seeds are very easy to harvest and grow. I am getting ready to plant Roselle and Pigeon Pea in small pots to be ready for spring planting, stay tuned. Both could not be easier to grow.

    It was a waste of time trying to watch. Backgrounds music louder then the voice, and the intro is way too long. "Just the facts ma'am."

      Hehe, it would have been 10 seconds long if I just yelled "Florida Cranberry Time Ya'll, Let's Grow Edible Flowers". BTW, cool dog on your channel!
