I've never bought a collection but you came upon a great 👍 one. 1981 I had just came back from the UK.
I bought many albums from the markets outside of Cambridge U. Such fun picking on the weekends. I'd take the bus back to the base with 25 or 30 records every time. Thanks for sharing your goodies 😊. Greg

Good thing you took advantage of record buying when you were over in England ! It's amazing that this fellow brought all of these over with him.. And back in the same year as you, Greg ! We hope to go to London in a year's time or so.. It will be my first, my wife was with Swiss Air.. She was in London, often up through the late 90's. See you on yours !

Some folks are ready to lighten the load after years of hanging on, and not using them. Next week.. I found a new honey hole south of Reno.. I should go back again.. Oooh, so, SO many wonderful looking albums I’d love to own!
Never really seen Rod’s expression up close on that Never a Dull Moment! That’s hillarious! 😂
My copy of My Sweet Lord 7’’ I love because I bought it at a record store in Aarhus I hadn’t visited since I went to filmschool over 20 years prior, and it was still there (Called Badsturock, saunarock) and the copy IS Danish!
When I see that the Band cover Northern Lights, …nah, won’t say it, might ruin it for you 😄
Look at that beautiful Beggars Banquet 🥰
CSNY discography confuses me to this day… keep checking up on it and forget it seconds later.
That is the one Boomtown Rats I have never heard.
Beautiful 10CC copy as well. UK Records. The label was a map of Britain but a crown replaced Scotland 😄
Oooh, I want that The Kids…
Someone nickef my Tommy and my Speak of the Devil 😕
Ooooh, good looking Whitesnake. That is a good live album.
History of the Byrds, found a copy last year, not as nice as that one, but when I spin it, with that orange label. Pure love!

Hi JT. Great selection as usual. Mike Harding caught my eye. He's remembered fondly by many people for the Folk Show he did on BBC Radio 2. After they let him go (one of many unpopular moves made by BBC radio over the years), he started his own podcast which eventually ended a couple of years ago. If you look for Mike Harding's Folk Show online, you can still listen to his podcast archive (over 300 shows!). That will definitely send you off down various rabbit holes! A thoroughly decent and likeable man ... I've been listening to quite a bit of Wishbone Ash recently. I keep going back to 'Argus'.

Mike Harding, I know nothing about except that he was a Northerner.. well Crumpsall north of Manchester. ( Sean and I look in on geographical places on the globe ). I'm so pleased to have this collection, he did love his folk and west coast sound of American music as well.

Michael Nesmith , the Who , Eagles , Sweet Ac/dc , Nice Motley crue, Judas Priest , , White snake , Byrds lot's of great albums
    ,
I heard of Wishbone and Ash ,
is that Jimi Hendrix original music or rereleased songs after he passed?
is that the Canned heat that has a hit from 1969 or is that an earlier album?
which do you like better bands like Canned heat , London Town , Mike Harding , , Bil Connoly ,Jake Thackray, Emmylou Harris or hard rock bands
like Rolling Stones , the Who, The Doors, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix?
what about back then say 1977 or so the softer bands or hard rock bands which did you like better?
so for the 1970's not todays time period but what was happening back then what category would you put Ac/dc in hard rock or heavy Metal?
so hard rock would be like the Rolling stones , the Who, Queen , Boston , Foreigner and heavy Metal would be like Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Kiss and Aerosmith? so what category would Ac/dc fall into for those days the 1970's?

Hey JT, incredible haul and I also love The Who! I have the same set “a Quick one/sellout except my Sell Out LP severely warped on the turntable many years ago so it’s gone. Does your “Kids Are Alright” still have the booklet?

@scottrap Yes, it does ! I should have shown more labels and that booklet, for sure. I love that twofer of A Quick One and Sell Out ! Thanks, Scott

Do you just keep those records in those boxes? They are quite nice. I have never heard of Connorly. I do love Elmore James, he is one of my favorites. Really nice condition on those records

@stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 I am keeping this collection together, Steve, in those nice cases. Billy Connolly is now Sir Billy Connolly, a big celebrity in the UK, and a very funny guy ! 🫡

So, when are you going to open your record store? 😂😅
I imagine adding your collection to Discogs is a job within itself.

Yeah.. At this point, I won't be typing in my collection into Discogs database. There is a record fair coming up in two weeks.. It will be my first time selling vinyl. Mostly doubles and thinning the herd a bit. Thanks, Dan !

So many fantastic records here. I think the British pressings will win out in the shootout. Of course you’ll keep many US and British pressings of some. Good luck with the record fair and please let us know how you get on. That rare NRPS caught my eye my friend, very nice. Cheers.

I believe you are right about most of the UK records will sound better, although my US Wishbone Ash Argus sounds better than that UK ! Odd, I think ? Which NRPS did you notice, Jack ? Marin County Line ? Also.. Brujo is a good one !
