- Are you living life or just surviving? Both words are very similar to one another but have very different meanings. If you are surviving, that means you have all the basic necessities of life; food, water, shelter, security. If you are living, it means you are above surviving. You are taking the life you have been given to it's fullest, enjoying every moment you have been so lucky to be a part of.
In this story, Alex is left contemplating life and death after a car accident that left him in a coma. He begins to feel confusion, anger, and regret the things he will no longer get to do. His plans to travel the world and one day marry his girlfriend can no longer be realized. But as life explains to Alex, "In the moment of death you are only surviving, not living, enjoying nothing, afraid of everything". For too long Alex was only surviving forgetting to live pushing it to the future and never making it the present.
Being given a second chance, Life snapped her fingers and Alex woke-up from his coma. No longer fearing death and embracing life, he was able to travel the world and marry his girlfriend. And when the time came, Alex went with death ready without regrets and willingly.
We know this video is different than our normal ones, but we hoped you enjoyed it and have a new view on living. This video is a creative and philosophical view on life rather than a religious one. I don't think of what happens after death, but I'm terrified of what happens during death! I once almost drowned in a submerged waterside, or rather a tube under water that sucked you through. I hit my head hard and got stuck inside the tube on something. My brain was going haywire. I was fully aware of what was happening. I remember inhaling water, as if I was breathing under water. This happened at the tiki pool in the Netherlands.

I’m scared of the possibility of there being no afterlife. The thought that when I die, there would be a possibility where I become nothing and will never get to experience anything anymore. What scares me even more is that I will never see any of my family members that have passed away. I really hope that there’s an after life.

I've never been scared of death, I just imagine what my mother would feel if I die..
This is what haunts me too. I think about how my loved ones, how my son would be effected. How my animals would wonder where I went. That is the only thing that makes me so horrified and scared of death. If it for wasn't them I wouldn't mind either way I don't think.

I’m not scared of the actual dying part, I’d imagine it’s like a soft warm light that overcomes you, and eventually you fall asleep, never to awake. I’m scared of losing my consciousness. The thing that forms my emotions and ideas, my humanity, will be sucked away. It’s terrifying. But it motivates me to live every day like it’s my last.

A lot of physicists believe that there are an infinite number of universes. If so, then there are infinite copies of us living out every possible combination of events in some of these universes. No one can absolutely prove this is true, but no one can prove any other theory either. It would explain why life seems unfair when bad things happen. Because ultimately, it isn't unfair. Everyone is experiencing every possible fate. The good ones and the bad ones. Just not all in the same universe. Just take comfort in the idea that you are still with the people you want to be with in these other universes, and everything you ever wanted to see and do is happening there too! 😃👍✌️❤️

I have to undergo a life saving/life threatening surgery in a matter of weeks, while i want to focus on the future my thoughts are anchored on now, is this it? My worries focus on my family who have invested in me to carry them through life, it took 10 years i got a good education in a field of high desirability for the foreseeable future. My thoughts are stuck on leaving my wife and 3 beautiful children in their youth to fend for themselves. I am afraid of dying but i'm more afraid of what will happen to them, and not being there for them so much that i almost want to risk not having the surgery to have the rest of my time with them. I'm afraid of laying down and never waking up. There is never enough time, I focused so much on the future and now there may not be one.

I know I’m probably late, but...I would be paranoid about the littlest things like dying in an airplane crash, seeing a beautiful view on a high balcony and having someone push me off, and being in the dark at night and wondering if someone will kidnapp me or kill me. I didn’t want to live for a long time, but when I finally lay in the hospital bed and realized what I had done, what I had tried to do, I understood.
I understood that this wasn’t the way, I couldn’t stand seeing my mother crying and my father‘s shocked face. And even though I‘m still not okay, I am willing to live now. And I know that I have all my life before me, so many chances and emotions I had almost forgotten about. I will get better and I will enjoy life at its fullest. And then, one day, I will hopefully be able to go without regret, when I‘m old and sick and happy. Thank you for this video. I hope everyone is alright, you can do this. I promise you.

Last year in August, I was willing to die, due to being afraid of life and death at the same time, death just seemed like the only solution and answer to all my problems. The thing is, I hadn't even asked life.
I'm fulfilling my biggest dream this october. My grades are also getting better and better. And while I still kinda think, everything sucks, it could be worse. Life has ups and downs, I'm on an up. That means, it gets worse, but also better. I'm already excited which obstacles life has in store for me.

I fell onto my bed and cried. My mom called me into her room. I sat next to her. She said, "It's okay, don't worry."
I said, "No, it's not!"
"You'll see her one day in Heaven.."
"I was so mean to her sometimes, who says i'll go with her?"
"You did your best, and that's enough."
"I just want to see her now, not in 70 or 80 years.."
"I know.. But i'll tell her you said hi when I see her.. And you will go with us. I'll say hi to grandpa too, okay?"
"Okay, mom.. I love you.. But I need to be alone right now."
She nodded at me and handed me a box of tissues. I ran to my room and cried all day.
The people took her away and 2 days later my grandpa came home with her.
"We got her creamated so she can always be with us, even if not it the way we really hoped."

I smiled and went to my room. I silently sobbed at the thought of her.
I admit, i'm crying while writing this.
I regret lots of days in the 10 years I spent with her, but I know that she's watching over me.. My guardian angel. I really miss her. I bet she said hi to my great grandparents for me, heh.
Why did I write all this? Because I want you to cherish every moment with your older loved ones.
My grandpa is 76 and still here in the other room right now. My grandma? She was 63 when she died. I didn't expect her to go at such a young age, and wish I spent more time with her. I don't want you to make the same mistake I did and not cherish you moments that you have before you can't.

I've always been so scared of being gone forever, or the way I could die, or even just dying young. Over the last few months though, I've come to be a little less terrified of the thoughts. I'll admit, there are some times at night where my anxiety about death takes over, but for the most part, I'm at peace with it. My aunt got in a bad car accident and she said when she was dead for 3 minutes she felt peace, no pain, and a light that was great. She heard a voice saying it wasn’t her time. She came back to her senses and she said she felt the pain again. I have doubts sometimes that there is nothing but that story makes me believe. I really don’t want to forget my family and friends though. That’s what I’m scared of. I wish I could remember and see everyone in heaven.

‘Darkness’ would still be an afterlife though if you could sense that. Also physically speaking nothing actually goes ‘poof’, what will probably happen is that your experience gets drastically changed. What if ‘nothingness’ is subjective also? Just like ‘time’ or ‘chaos’.
Darkness is a conception of conciousness. Seeing darkness/blackness is a neural image created photons and lack of electrical radiation (aka visible light). Do you remember what it was like before you were born? Do you ever wake up not remembering what you dreamt of, or waking up feeling like your slumber was instantaneous? Those components are what true death is, a discontinuation of your concious; and loss of being sentient being. Perceiving anything is made impossible, as only the experience of dying will be the last thing that you might remember and experience. If you take god, heaven, and hell out of the equation; then death logically is true nothingness, not darkness, not a black screen. Literally nothing, which isnt an experience at all.

Carlidy Jargo, really from the perspective you're seemingly at, there's nothing to fear. I can't see it being much different from complete anesthesia. I received that kind in one surgery on my foot. I was so gone that from my personal perspective I was talking to the anesthesiologist and then suddenly I was waking up already done with no sense at all of the passage of time between. You won't see black. You may never awake, but you'll never know that -- or you might wake up, but not have any sense that time has passed at all until someone tells you how much time has passed. The only downside is the disorientation.
So, regardless of whether God exists or not, there's really nothing to fear from death itself. Either it is the "portal" to an afterlife, or you won't be conscious enough to be afraid of anything, not even the darkness.

A lot of people have been telling me that it is just as if you were sleeping, but I think that once you sleep, there is nothing and it passes really fast you don’t have time to process that you’re sleeping or that you are under anesthesia until you wake up. The fact of not waking up is scary to me. For a very very very long time I won’t, there won’t be anything anymore. I don’t know if I believe in “after life” or not, but I know that just thinking about it makes me very anxious. Thank you for answering me.
