Great fishing and like the fact that you catch and release... even the absolutely HUGE one. Some people would have kept it and stuffed it and mounted it but you did the right thing!!!
What a Great Salmon! Sincere Congratulations! I've witnessed a weighting of a 25,5 kg salmon back in 2005. That was a monster, but I honestly think this one is bigger.
Yea amazing footage! Would have been great to see the hook up, the fight, and then the process of landing it. Unfortunately we got none of this except a pic which leads me to believe the landing was very ugly...
@@Night-le9ys I was at the next pool when it was hooked. I got a telephone call from my friend to come and help with a bigger one. I run through the forest to witness this. We were only two people there, so no extra hands for filming. I had seen the fish and couldn't believe my eyes. I had to put the camera down for landing it. It was landed very cautiously and everything went well and happened on the first try, but I have to admit that the fish was a bit tired. It was caught with a 7# weight SH rod and a 0.38 tippet and it was quite light equipment for this size of fish. Landing was not ugly. Gently in to the net, that was surpricingly big enough. We gave the fish TLC and good time to recover and in the end it went back with a splash. I truely from my heart believe it still went back to reproduce after this. Nobody can know for sure, but thats my educated guess. It had all the abilities to do so anyway.
Not the biggest 'salmon' if you include Chinook salmon caught in the Pacific Northwest, but no doubt the biggest Atlantic salmon I've ever seen. Glad to see you still have some nice wild fish in Norway, amazing. :)
I've got a picture of a 126 lb Chinook salmon in my boat that was caught in a fish trap in Sooke BC, Canada in the late i920's. Every year someone catches a 90 lb plus Chinook salmon in Rivers Inlet, BC, Canada. In 1996 a 126 ib Chinook salmon was caught in a seine net in River Inlet. That doesn't include the Chinook(King) salmon they catch in the Kenai River in Alaska, but Rivers Inlet has the world's largest wild salmon, hands down. Not even a contest.
I think its like here in Sweden fishing licence needs everyway. Just like periods when its not alowed hunt on Salomon and Trout. On my part southern Sweden from 1 oktober till 1 april we can not fish Salomon and Trout.
Rod...fishing rod. A pole is just something long that you tie line to the end of,a rod on the other hand has a reel and eyes to guide the line, hence “Rod and Reel”..
While that brown trout is freakishly huge, that is the ugliest trout I'd ever seen. Congrats on the catch but what a hideous and probably farm raised mutant trout
@@villevaresmaa you just mad cause I called it what it is, a farm raised, pellet fed piece of crap of a fish. Again, I congratulate you on the size of the fish but the quality is garbage
Yeah the red polka dots threw me off. Not used to seeing a salmon with red dots. Still an ugly fish though. And browns get big and have hooked jaws too
Millä tuon olis kahteen pekkaan syönyt? Titistäkin jää tähteet seuraavalle päivälle... Jotain rajaa ahneudella ja ruoan poisheittämiselläkin pitää olla...
Unreal! That fish is an F'n T-Rex of a salmon. Absolutely mind-blowing on its size. Congratulations on a lifetime fish.
That salmon is not just big but also without any visible wounds or damages which makes it ten times more beautiful
Great fishing and like the fact that you catch and release... even the absolutely HUGE one. Some people would have kept it and stuffed it and mounted it but you did the right thing!!!
Those are definately the ones we'd like to see reproducing.
Holy cow.. that’s a monster of a salmon and in such a stunning location too !
Congrats! And thanks for sharing this photos and Video… No words for that fish 😮

When does the season start for salmon and trout? Thank you
What a monster!
That grin must have lasted for days.
That is HUGE! Great catch!
Wow, that's an amazing fish. Well done!!!!
Beautiful, I think that piece weighs more than 25 kg, congratulations on the capture.
Jawdropping. Wow! What an awesome fish. Congratulations to catching such a splendid specimen of the mega size.
Well done guys.. an awesome specimen of a magnificent species, without doubt over the magic 50lb mark.
Hey, congrats from Austria !!!
New subscriber here! Amazing footage! Looks like a great river. That atlantic salmon at the end was unbelievable!!

Insane salmon! My guess is that the weight is around 28 kilos. I caught some fish around 21kilos and the length of them was around 120cm.
Wow that's great place to fishing brother 👍👍👍
AMAZING MONSTER SALMON !!! Congratulations !!!

Jeezus what a fish! Beautiful.
Amazing 👍🏻🏴

Absolutely incredible 👏. I want one
Even though I don't speak Norwegian the absolute joy was clear to see.
I believe its finnish, or some weird norwegian dialect
it is finnish 100%
But they’re from Ireland
it is Finnish
Finnish! No one outside of Finland understand a single word of Finnish. Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are closely related on the other hand.
What a fish😱 Congratulations, its a fish of a lifetime
Whoa! As a Englishman who used to live in Norway, I thought the Bergen accent/dialect was tough to understand 😂
What a beast, congrats.
Cool video!
I live in the U.S. my biggest is a fifty lb King Salmon. I must go where youre fishing before i die.
What a Fish!!! Tusen Takk.
Looks so much like a large brown trout

ufff! what a monster!!!😮
In British Columbia we use fish like that for bait.
Seriously, though, nice fish.
same length as miss Ballantyne's fish
Voi hemmetti mikä vonkale. Hyvä työ pojat!
Well done 👏
Massive fish
amazing 👏
What kind of salmon is that?
Atlantic male
Älytöntä mennä hakemaan lohi kutemasta. Tulisi jatkossa parempia lohivuosia kun kutemaan päässeet lohet jätettäisiin rauhaan. Mutta komea kala on.
Congrats
Old spawn out fish big big tho imagin hooking that in the ocean wow
All of them grey looking residents the last one a kipper. If not a kelt.
Hieno on lohi !
Lucky you
Amazing catch!!!!
yup, that's one big salmon, and on the fly too 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Holy shit!
According to one calculator, it could be 27kg.
Another calculator says 28 to 32,g kg.
Ei taida 25 kiloa riittää tuolle mörölle 😅
From the salmon filled waters of Michigan and the Great Lakes, well done!
I would throw my pole down and run if I ever hooked that.
Rod...fishing rod. A pole is just something long that you tie line to the end of,a rod on the other hand has a reel and eyes to guide the line, hence “Rod and Reel”..
Ja mihin nakerti?.. :D
Red Francis!
👏👏👏🇧🇷
Huhhuh
Guess whos the one having english head text to a video and then speaking finish all way trough......🙄🤔
If there would be something to translate I would 😆
This is a brown trout lol not a salmon
No.
@@Vassenden_yt ya I realized it’s an Atlantic lol those are rare where I’m from didnt look like anything I’m used to seeing
@@under.water.hookerz Haha, yeah 😁
@@Vassenden_yt yeah our atlantics are a lot more chrome and literally 1/8 of the size 😂
Yes, 🤣, this is Brown pike, hybryd from charnobyl
It’s not a salmon. It’s a brown trout. Come on man, really!
Atlantic salmon. Male.
