especially when the fish just went through the caching process, id liek to hold the head of some ''fishing youtubers'' underwater for the amount of time they have the fish on land
I got a 2 handed rod because of videos like this.... it wasn't cheap and I tried it twice and that was it. Because of this video I'm going to try again, wish me luck both in finding the rod and learning to cast it.
I had one years ago and had the same problem. I bought another one last year and gave it an honest effort. I can now cast. Not well, but I can't work my way through a pool without completely embarrassing myself. Keep at it! I found it easier to start with a skagit setup.
Please start a petition. I would be glad to sign it. Why must greed come first over the wellbeing of the planet or the creatures that live on it. By the way very good video. Keep them coming. Best Regards ABK.
Norway 🇳🇴, such a beautiful country,,,,,, worked there,,, been lots of trips,,,,, and never been fishing on a river,,, looks really great,,,,,,,,,, great fishing guys in hard conditions,,, but sitting there at a norweigan river, would also do it for me, sitting in the norweigan air,,,,,
Very nice Movie ! My Fly Fishing Rods are in the Corner of the Fishing Equipment Room, regret that i never tried it 2 Handed on Salmon. Beatifull it is !
There is still time. I just got my first twohanded salmon rod last year and the transition from a onehanded rod was easy in terms of casting. It is really fun! If I find myself with spare money my next rod would be a light twohander for trout.
thanks for that Kasper! The documentary is not online yet. We are working with the "publish-plan" now. Trailer here: facebook.com/netelandproduction/videos/2013846178734736/
Can never understand why right handed anglers need to wind with their right hand as it means they have to change hands and end up playing powerful fish with their weaker left arm. Nice video all the same.
Here in germany there was only a very small run. I checked the spawnpoints and you could see that there have not been many fish spawning because of the low water i think. Did you observe this too?
hi there, i was thinking of salmon fishing in norway, could you advise on the cheapest way to do it, without paying a fortune on full guided trip that cost thousands of pounds, i can sort out flights and accommodation, it was just which river, and how much is it to fish for 2 days, many thanks, i would be coming from england
Regarding the documentary Anders talks about. The publish-plan is not ready yet, but as soon as we know we will come with info on our face / insta and youtube. The trailer for the documentary you can se on the link under. facebook.com/netelandproduction/videos/2013846178734736/
Minig sucks! Also the river Kitka at the grayling nymph fishing episode is under of shadow of an mining industry. And local people don't even want it there!
Mining is an inconvenient necessity. I completely understand the opposition as well the potential environmental impacts. However, the device you used to enjoy and comment on this video is a product of mining as well as the fly fishing gear we all use, the cars we drive, the money in our pockets. There is truth to the slogan, "if it can't be grown it must be mined" I'm certainly not for all mines. There are plenty that are wrong place, wrong mine for absolute certain. I just feel like a blanket anti mining statement is both short sighted and ultimately not helpful. To be clear I am by no means advocating for whatever mine is going in here, I am simply stating that the "Mining sucks!" statement is sweeping and hypocritical.
@@matdoherty7814 So because we need it it's ok to ruin our environment? Well don't we need our environment too? Water? Soil? For living we don't need these leisure devices. And there is thing called minerals recycling. With mining we make eco catastrofies. And those suck deep. Your statement is hypocricital because you claim that it's ok to mine because some leisure products you need are produced by mining. You can and will find recycled fishing product's. And still if I use some products still it doesn't make my thoughts about mining hypocricital. It's hypocricital to claim someone else is hypocricital and for that I'm proud to say you are. Leisure product using cityboy.
Olof ok. I’ll be a little clearer. First off, I’m not a city boy, I live in a pretty small town in Alaska. I also am not saying it’s ok to ruin our environment either. What I was pointing out was merely mining is something folks tend to complain about, yet pretty much everyone enjoys the end product of. Sure, our electronic devices are leisure products, but there are lots of thing mining produces that are not for leisure. The reasoning I pointed out electronic devices was because you were saying how bad it is while using a product of. Never did I advocate environmental destruction, in fact I acknowledged mining’s problems there. I believe it was the first or second sentence. I’m actually a big fan of recycling and repurposing things. I’m also a fly fisherman. I’m not quite sure where you were going with the hypocrisy retort at the end so we will just put that to rest I guess. I’m just trying to be clear, I’m not some villain who wants to destroy the environment. I just was trying to point out that mining is an ugly necessity. Not all mines are good for every area, but we do need the products that are extracted from the process, and no, not I’m not speaking of leisure items.
@Dirridarri you mean the channel is produced in Western Finland , otherwise known as The Western State of Russia. You blockheads cant fool me. Maybe try fishing real salmon for a change and not those eurominnows you call a fish.
@Dirridarri conditions to agree on. You have until Nov 15th to post your vid. You must prove dates with timestamps on phones. As many as possible in 8hrs? Or weight by 8 hours? Salmon only fresh or intertidal. On the fly.
@Dirridarri I hope you fish in water otherwise you might not catch anything. Freshwater only Flyfishing only Salmon only By Nov 15th 1 8hr session You can fish everyday but only record 1- 8 hr session for submission.
Please treat the guides on the first rod you use, the sound they make at 2:46 is worse than someone clawing at a blackboard. Other than that this is a great video and I hope we get to see the documentary here in Sweden aswell.
Great movie and hats off to Antti for handling every fish with care.
Congratulations. Very nice to see the fish treated sympathetically, carefully handled and returned with a minimum of stress. A fine example.
especially when the fish just went through the caching process, id liek to hold the head of some ''fishing youtubers'' underwater for the amount of time they have the fish on land
You Both are a good team, it would be nice to see you 2 more fishing together!
I love the dog! I have two of them here in uk. They love fishing and the water, too.
I got a 2 handed rod because of videos like this.... it wasn't cheap and I tried it twice and that was it. Because of this video I'm going to try again, wish me luck both in finding the rod and learning to cast it.

Great video. Do you ever fish big dry flies( deer hair "bombers") like we do around here on the east coast of Canada ?
Yes they do
Can never understand why right handed anglers need to wind with their right hand as it means they have to change hands and end up playing powerful fish with their weaker left arm. Nice video all the same.
Keeps the handle of the reel away from your body 😊so it don’t catch when you get a take
very nice
Nice Flat Coat!!
The smart thing to do is implement a low flow closure.
Did they go through with dumping the garbage, rocks and chemicals of rhe mining? This video was 3 years ago. So I am very curious
So nice! What weight are those rods? looks heavy. Thanks :)
Muy bueno felicitaciones
Perfection 😍❤️ love it 😊
Great content as always. Does this come on TV, or just on RUclips?
Thanks! Just on RUclips.

Are you guys Norwegian? Hard to tell with those round caps on.
@Dirridarri I could see the herring juice dripping off of them.
You need to be more careful around those West Finlanders.

Er det laks ørret sjø orret
these guys throw bombs my god
I don't release fresh salamons and then buy them frozen
Please treat the guides on the first rod you use, the sound they make at 2:46 is worse than someone clawing at a blackboard. Other than that this is a great video and I hope we get to see the documentary here in Sweden aswell.
It's from the recoil guides. Nothing wrong with the guides on that rod at all dude.
jleftw Recoil, stops as soon as there is moisture on them.
antti guttorm du you speak finish?
So there are flyfishermen who take four rods to fish with?Jesus, what the actual fuck...
Your flies were far too big. Try size 14 double next time. Good luck
Maybe for grayling the size 14 but for a salmon its way too small but of course you fish for under 30cm salmon the 14 size hook is perfect
