In reality, I was beaten down and accepted abuse as a part of my life, and I learned how to not anger him into hitting me to control me. Ana is doing what I did. Accepting it and being beaten down enough isn’t consent. It’s a person being broken.

Oh my god the pubic hair part,,, "it would feel better for her" absolute bs lmao that's the line dudes throw out when they want u to be smooth because it's hot for them, but they'd never do it in return
@@SamAronow yeah me neither. I dont shave because my skin's too sensitive and also I don't want to, and I've had a whopping total of one singular guy who was into that be cool about it. (He actually does shave in return, he asked me if I would and I said no but he already had. So he was smooth shaven and I wasn't, lmao) I think it was a texture thing for that guy, but most of them just have a weird thing for hairlessness
To be fair, I've actually had my pubic hair lasered (which my fiance actually questioned because he actually doesn't care either way, but when I explained why he moved on because he respects that it's my body and I can do whatever I want with it), because in my personal experience, sex feels better without pubic hair. I feel like it helps with lubrication, because the hair seems to soak things up. But, that was my choice, and it wasn't about aesthetics - though I also feel like it looks better, just because I'm genetically predisposed to be hairless so I feel like it's more about congruence, but maybe that's just me - and I don't think that it's always the best choice for everyone. And I certainly don't think it's a choice that should be made by your partner, especially if they don't have the same, uh, equipment, and aren't willing to do the same thing in exchange.

Baby you are saving brain cells. I gave the first one a try and I swear on all things shiny and good I almost cracked a molar in sheer irritation. The story is idiotic enough but the actual writing format and style are just so god awful. It was a fanfic and it 100% reads like a fanfic but written by a teenager *thinking* that's what the BDSM lifestyle is like. And damn it I'm getting heated just thinking about all the times I had to read the line "my inner goddess". I just love watching these reviews because the commentary is usually freaking hysterical.
The only character that seems sane in this plot is the unborn child, but at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they were actuallyJoe from you who travelled back in time using his mad scientist powers
ana said that when christian fucked her one time she felt that her unborn second child (they also had a boy) would love sex (also i think she implied that it would be a girl). like tf. how can you even come up with something like that? disgusting!
Just for once, I want a popular story where the girl files a restraining order against her stalker and doesn't fall for him :( She then marries the cop that helped her get the order heheheh
Fun fact: collaring is an actual term used by the pet play community and it's basically like getting married! Though I doubt that E. L. James would know that given how little she seems to know about real BDSM/kink in general
Collaring is also a thing in a D/s, and M/s. Collaring in pet play usually goes with hand and hand with another dynamic. Most D/s or M/s dynamics will get "day collars", permanent collars, and collars for scenes/rough play. Collars for pet play, are simply pet collars. But yes, it's basically a serious dynamic/partnership, I wouldn't say marriage exactly because Subs can return collars or collars can be revoked. A good % of D/s or M/s dynamics that collar do end up actually getting married though. Collaring ceremonies are also beautiful! Mine was amazing.
Collaring is actually a thing in most dynamics of Bdsm, and it's basically like getting married within the community, although of course it holds no legal bearing and it's just a way to officialize their status as Top/bottom.
I was hoping someone would mention this! Although it makes me super uncomfortable that James used the term, like she's appropriating it without full knowledge of its meaning.
@@Sabrina-sc1db then 365 days spawns something with like elves. The girl is a human named Diamond (Dia) and the guy is named iron or something. The book is named "Mine" or that shit. They meet inside a forest or some shit. And when the book picks up on the next one she begs for him to turn her into an elf he refuses cause it's that story shit. Then in like page 145 she finds out Iron likes BDSM but the author changes it to Elf style or something like that. Diamond says no because she just doesn't want to, and then we find out Iron cheated and then diamond cheats. Then the author tries to pass it on like it's healthy and normal.
Wait my head hurts. Soooo Fifty Shades of Grey is a fanfic of a fanfic of a book? I'm feeling Dean sitting in a laundry mat reading about himself sitting in a laundry mat reading about himself energy- 😅
there was actually a bunch of fanfics adapted to books (after 50 shades was adapted but i might be wrong) but one of the most popular is After, a harry styles fanfic adapted into a book, THEN adapted into a MOVIE (netflix of course lol)
I was brainwashed with this whole genre of books as a preteen, These are definitely my favorite videos you make, because the clear distinctions from right and wrong you make help me so much to undo the toxic ... relationship ideals
imagine if 50 Shades was about a guy who thought he wanted a weak sub to control, but turns out he's much happier with a power bottom. And he's able to work through all his issues healthily while Ana establishes clear boundaries for herself. Now THAT sounds romantic.
Instead it's about a psycho who takes being molested by his stepmother out on young women who look like her and it's portrayed as BDSM because EL James doesn't know what BDSM is.
And portrays BDSM for what it is. Not some excuse for some rich man-child with mommy issues to take his frustrations out on some poor girl, but a sexual practice built on trust and respect for each other, and with the rules in place to make sure it’s pleasurable for both parties involved.
I mean, Secretary already did a great female sub romance, though. I'd rather imagine a story about a domme who is a whole person, who helps one of those silly manly man domly dom types figure out that he is *actually a sub.* THAT is something I've ACTUALLY never seen, at all. And that is what needs to be normalized, the idea that a woman can be genuinely dominant but a kind-hearted person, and a man can be submissive but not weak. I mean, if somebody can point me to an example of that, lay it tf on me, my body is READY.
How are there still people out there who don't know that Fifty Shades was originally Twilight fan fiction? This is not news, people! That's like still not knowing that Snape killed Dumbledore in Harry Potter.
Thanks for reigniting that trauma. Still the only book in that series I haven't read multiple times. Between Dumbledore and poor innocent Hedwig, I haven't been able to bring myself to put myself through it again, no matter how great (imo) that book is.
Apparently there can be people that aren't in the know. Take Game Grumps for instance. When Danny and Arin did Ocarina of time, Danny wasn't clued into or knew the twist with Zelda and despite a few close closes, Arin managed to keep the secret and Danny had a genuine reaction to the twist that people in the 90's or people that had an N64 or aware knew for ages. Or was a damn good actor and managed to act surprised!
Just imagine how better fifty shades would be if Anna was still the shy girl but has a secret job as a dominatrix and actually becomes greys Dom but he doesn't know it Fifty shades could be written better in so many ways Edit: thanks for the likes Just wanna add to this but Imagine Grey trying to portray himself as a calm/stern/mysterious guy but deep inside he gets turned on at the thought of a woman dominating him Edit 2: So going back to what I said about Ana being a "mommy" This idea would've been better especially since in the beginning of the first movie/book her friend was sick and she treated her with care Ana showing her caring/giving side would be perfect as a "mommy" for grey...sorry but if this sounded weird but it popped into my mind randomly and I HAD to type this
Here I am, crying from laughter, because I only saw the poster once and thought it was a meme, but your comment made me google it and it's an actual movie and I'm dead now
Before I knew what Fifty Shades of Grey was I asked my mom what was it about. My mom said it was about a woman you had sex with a lot of business men and the title was a reference to all the suits. My mom's answer would have been a better story.
The fact that E.L. James did basically nothing to change anyone's characterizations from Twilight (except remove vampirism,) made me realise how weird it is that Christian's birth mother was a neglectful drug addict who allowed men to abuse him, when *Edward's* birth mother was perfectly loving and begged Carlisle to save her dying son.
I guess James was self-aware enough to realize there needed to be a reason why Christian was so fucked up, since Edward without the fantasy elements would have likely turned out normal. In that sense, one could compare the abusive mother to the vampirism itself. Which sounds strange but its the only way the comparation fully works. Besides, following the story's logic and the questionable thought proccess of James, Christian's trauma seems akin to a curse with how he's "freed" of it by Ana's love. Very much a Beauty and the Beast sort of story, which also seemed like the basis for Twilight before they turned it around in the latter half, when the Beauty gets cursed by the Beast instead of releasing of his curse.
A competent therapist would have been great. Instead, ELJ gave us a quack who (if memory serves) more or less tells Ana, "Yeah, I've been trying and failing to fix him for years... but you cured him after only a month with your gumbo pot!" Only in a crappy fiction world is it acceptable for a licensed therapist to tell a sadistic patient's romantic partner that she alone is the key to healing said patient. Excuse me, doctor, but that isn't her responsibility.
I want New Moon from Edward's prospective! Where he's hunting Victoria and all the tortured month's away. It wouldn't be as long as Midnight Sun because Bella clearly did more without Edward than he did without her. I mean we have these stupid rip off fan fiction books from Grey. Why can't we get New Moon from Edward's POV? I know it's not likely to ever happen. But I guess it doesn't hurt to dream about it.
Unfortunately probably won't happen due to the author saying being in edwards head space made her mega depressed. There is a really good fanfic series that does all of them
To collar someone is actually a BDSM practice that many people do. It is mostly used as a symbol to show the bound between the submissive and the dominant. And it is also super cute (but it doesn't mean you belong to the person for ever, even though some people substitute their wedding ring with a collar)
That part about pubic hair reminds me of my 82 year-old aunt who read Fifty Shades and later called to ask us: "Is it true?" What is? "That women nowadays ... shave? Everything off?" Well. Most do And she found that to be so weird. I loved her for that.
I'd need to see some numbers on that. I've never been friends with or seen in a locker room a woman who shaves their pubic area. It probably varies by demographic, but I doubt it's most.
I question the statement of "most do" (I don't think I know a single woman who does it, though it's not exactly something I talk about on a regular basis with my friends, so who knows), but a funny story regardless.
@@Rainbownosehair Trim, sure. Shave it all off? No, I've never met anyone who does that, as far as I'm aware. I don't think it's quite as common in my country. It's mostly associated with porn.
I actually enjoy this series as a yandere manga. And like ALL yandere stories I read, I find it entertaining/fascinating like a horror movie but never and I mean never would I want to be in them.
Honestly, the scene where Grace slaps Elena was WAYYYYY to weak for me. If I just heard my friend raped my son, she would be ON THE FLOOR. And they would need an ambulance for her. She just taps her on the face and Ana gently throws a drink at her.
I love how ben wa balls don't actually work the way these types of things always write them. Like they heard about an item and decided it was sexy but didn't actually look into what the item does or how it would feel. It's meant for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles as you have to contract to hold them in the whole time. Imagine having to do kegels the whole time you're talking to someone and thinking that's hot.
18:06 Dakota Johnson's portrayal of Ana is just so great - there are so many little touches she brings to her performance. Like here, the way she shoves Jack down after kneeing him in the nads - it's so cathartic, I actually back-tapped just to watch the clip again a few times.
I have literally been searching RUclips today to see if any of my favorite RUclipsrs have done a review of this and here you are. We are psychically linked. The mind meld is complete.
Imagine being the Express VPN marketing consultant watching this and seeing how she ties (heh) it into the movie, and them going, "...That's it? That's what we're going with?" And Amanda is just nodding with a big smile on her face.
I like how in Twilight and Fifty shades the abusive character is complied with even more shitty one just to show that the less terrible guy isn't so bad after all.
Imagining Jamie Dornan brooding while jogging, listening to Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas has sent me to my eternal rest! I’ll see y’all on the flip side 🕊

Imagine if 50 shades was written by different author, someone who actually knows how to write or have psychology (or similar) background. It could be great thriller/drama/horror, cause the plot is not that bad, just execution of that plot is shitty.
Ugh. Yes. Amanda suffering through more 50 shades is just what I need as my incredibly elderly dog has a bad time with her footing and my other elderly dog is trying to recover from kidney failure at the emergency vet. thank you for dealing with this trash so I don't have to.

They get engaged after a month?? Jeez, even Bella and Edward waited a year or so, and they were teenagers.
Edward and Bella were also engaged for at least a little bit, and it was briefly mentioned as an idea before that.

So he was smooth shaven and I wasn't, lmao) I think it was a texture thing for that guy, but most of them just have a weird thing for hairlessness

@@FruityHachi some people are sensitive so shaving helps but then BOTH need to do it or it wont even help the sensitivity

Fun fact: collaring is an actual term used by the pet play community and it's basically like getting married! Though I doubt that E. L. James would know that given how little she seems to know about real BDSM/kink in general
That’s cute
Super happy someone brought this up!! :) Collaring is so beautiful in a healthy relationship, but stupid E. L. James had to ruin it >:(

imagine if 50 Shades was about a guy who thought he wanted a weak sub to control, but turns out he's much happier with a power bottom.
Awwww 🥺 someone should write that
I mean, Secretary already did a great female sub romance, though.
Yes, but that would take talent to write.
And then 365 days was born from 50 Shades .
What?! Snape killed Dumbledore?!

Just wanna add to this but
Imagine Grey trying to portray himself as a calm/stern/mysterious guy but deep inside he gets turned on at the thought of a woman dominating him
Edit 2:
So going back to what I said about Ana being a "mommy"
This idea would've been better especially since in the beginning of the first movie/book her friend was sick and she treated her with care
Ana showing her caring/giving side would be perfect as a "mommy" for grey...sorry but if this sounded weird but it popped into my mind randomly and I HAD to type this

There's a series on Amazon called "office toy" that's that almost exactly. Much better than 50 shades.

"He's an abusive billionaire, but at least he's a CHARITABLE abusive billionaire!"
His therapist would probably recommend a call to the police if this was written by a competent author.
I would like to have the whole series from his pov. It's impossible but we can still hope
I don't think he was hunting Victoria.
Unfortunately probably won't happen due to the author saying being in edwards head space made her mega depressed. There is a really good fanfic series that does all of them
