I feel like another pro(coming from someone who doesn't have locs) is that your hair grows faster. You're not experiencing any breakage from combing your hair often so you get to actually see that length.
1000000 agree lol especially with the “weird stereotypes” not everybody with locs are into that stuff. Btw what type of bristle brush? And I locd my hair because I was tired of doing it lol
lol I be like iight chill 😂 but I got mine from the beauty supply store. I use a soft bristle brush for my edges and a medium hard brush for the length of my locs. & no fr it’s so convenient lol

BUT I agree with you 100%, I regret that I don’t have more locs but my hair is thin and not dense at all. Me and my locs are beautiful. I’m looking forward to more growth and flourishing 🙌🏾
Cons people telling me I need a retwist especially black men 🤷🏾♀️ I get my locs retwisted every three months because I want my edges in the beginning of my loc journey I would always hear your locs are nice but you need a retwist this is coming from people that doesn't even have locs it has gotten better since I had them for five years now and they are mature people don't really say anything negative anymore except for last year this patient gonna say you can do better with your hair she almost got cussed out she lucky I was working I'm no longer a phlebotomist thank God seems like I would always get negative comments from older people..I remember this guy gonna ask me when I first got my locs am I rasta i was like no 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

It took me 15 days to comb mine out. I will restart my journey. I took mine out because the size wasn't what I wanted. I didn't want to have two headed dragons so I chose to comb out so I can reset. I was amazed how long my hair actually was. When I first started I did have long hair. To my arm pit. I kept two years and combed out and my hair was to my hip!

When the lady assumed that would be your opportunity to educate them on locs. Most people just uninformed. But yeah I agree I had two ladies ask if I was Jamaican 😂
I’ve noticed the difference in attention I got from most people ever since I got locs lol. Because I have 4c hair it looks nappy when its not retwisted and people are very discriminatory lol
