You were hilarious Donna. You've come across one of the biggest metal bands from Britain. This is a classic song of theirs. Rob Halford is one of the best vocalist in metal. They have been around since the 60's and have a HUGE discography. You just scratched the surface of Judas Priest.
Thanks for watching
Your absolutely correct...I had the pleasure too see them live at the Summit in Hhouston,Texas...its was absolutely perfection
Judas Priest, natives of Birmingham, England, was the first real heavy metal band. The term "heavy metal" had been around before 1974, when the band released their debut album, but then even the heaviest of bands (like that other Birmingham band Black Sabbath) were reluctant to use it about themselves, worried that "heavy metal" would come off as too restrictive and scaring away the big audiences. Judas Priest were the first to go the other way, proudly embrace it, saying: "Heavy metal - yes, that's us. That's exactly the sound we're going for". And they did it very successfully, only Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden rivalling them for success and historical importance during that era. The most famous Judas Priest songs are "Breaking the law" (1980) and "You've got another thing comin'" (1982), which I'm sure you'd recognize if you heard them. And for a heavy band, they have always been capable of great variationn and subtlety, having both ballads ("Before the dawn", "Beyond the realms of death") and moments of the utmost sonic brutality ("Painkiller", "Judas rising") up their sleeves.
They maintain their amazing creative chops even in their old age. Their most recent album "Firepower" (2018) was an absolute and well-deserved triumph, one of the greatest successes of their long career. And their soon - as in, this March - to be released brand new album "Invincible shield" is every bit as good. Heavy metal in the truest sense of the word, and about as good as anything could possibly be.
Love Priest right after Sabbath for heavy music, no matter what you call it. Unreal bands!
Judas Priest were the first band to embrace the term 'heavy metal' for their music in the 70's and beyond... They set the standard w/ the high vocals... the twin lead guitars... and the image of wearing leather & studs on stage 🤘🤘
Initially a local rock band in Birmingham, UK... Judas Priest established themselves w/ K.K. Downing (guitar), Ian Hill (bass) and Rob Halford (vocals)... Glenn Tipton (guitar) was added to the line-up in 1974 and established a formidable guitar duo w/ K.K. Downing... Rob Halford was outstanding as a live singer for his piercing high vocals (he was eventually nicknamed the 'Metal God' after a Priest song)
Priest's first 2 albums sold poorly by 1976, but a new record contract in 1977 saved Judas Priest and put them on tour in N. America for the first time... More records established Priest as a major force in heavy metal... and Rob Halford (who is gay) wanted to express himself fashionably onstage and started dressing in leather and studs... The band thought Halford looked cool and wore similar outfits onstage by 1979... In 1980, their 6th album 'British Steel' broke commercially w/ the huge singles - 'Breaking the law' ... 'Living after midnight'...
By 1982, Priest became one of the biggest heavy metal bands briefly as they toured arenas across the world for their 8th album 'Screaming for vengeance'.... which bring us to the Us Festival performance in 1983.
Sure were even had song not a hit but my favorite by them off RAM it down album called Heavy Metal
@@williamreiser3118 Incredible song, really floored me when it came out back in the day! Glenn was absolutely on top of his game back then.
I have been a Priest fan since 1976 at the age of 16.
IMO, Rob Halford IS the Ultimate Metal Voice, especially vintage Priest, when he was younger.
The very first concert I seen in 1979 I was 14 years old
Donna becomes an old school metal head....love it!
You have discovered Rob Halford, the Metal God, enjoy the journey.
About 2 years ago when Judas Priest were getting some recognition from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I found the video of this entire concert on RUclips and I was hooked!! I must have watched it once every day for a couple months. It was filmed at the 1983 US Festival in California. (In 1983 I was only 12 years old growing up in Nebraska, and had never even heard of Judas Priest!!) And who knew that Jeff Foxworthy was their drummer??🤣
I LOVE WATCHING PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS GET BLOWN AWAY BY THIS PERFORMANCE.
RIDING ON THE WIND, ELECTRIC EYE, ANOTHER THING COMING ARE ALL AWESOME HERE.
Beyond the realms of death by Judas Priest should be next 🤘🏻
or the live vengeance version of Desert Plains
Fantastic ladies! Rob, the metal God, is still going strong, now over 70, and still awesome! Donna was hilarious, what a megastar!! 😉🤟🤟
The best band of heavy metal of all times!!!
I was at this show. Sunday, May 29, 1983. Just turned 17 the week before and had the time of my life. Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions and Van Halen closed out the night. I was one of 350,000+ metalheads rocking out in the desert of San Bernardino California. I was about 15 to 20 people from the front row on Glenn Tipton side of the stage. It was definitely the largest crowd I’ve ever been a part of, and one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Great great times and an unbelievable show. I always enjoy the fun reactions to the music I grew up with.👏👏👏👏🤙🤙🤙🤙🤘🤘🤘🤘
No way, damn so awesom i have only waken open air in germany to brag about. BUt been here is fantastic
@@Aethyrs Wacken is the main show on my bucket list
@@Megadeth1921 hope you can go to wacken, been there since 98 to 2009 then kids came,
I too was at the US festival that day, such good memories when I see vids from that day :) (and man was it HOT! that day)
OMG more Legends!!! Rob Halford who I believe is top 2 vocalists of all time. Keep up the good work. If you ever need help with any bands just ask. I'm 56 and my brother is 10 years older than me and instilled in me the love of rock music. In the 70's I was the little brother all his friends would have loved to have. Thanks a bunch, Bill
That was so cool, lol. To see the both of you wide eyed, smiling. It was like you both got a big blast of energy and you both were as about as awake as you've never been before, really cool. I could feel it too. I'm 60, live in San Diego and trust me when I say, the 80s were INSAAAAANE,LOL. Glad you all got a little taste of Priest. I think everyone should before they part from this world. Rock on,,,,,
Thank you so much 😁
We just need the whole of your family headbanging to this, an amazing version of this song, by one of the greatest metal bands ever.
Definitely hot on the floor of those events. The firehoses are God sent when you are down there. Glad you enjoyed Judas Priest.
They have been around for over 50 years. They are coming out with a new album next month.
He is in his 70's now! Sounds better than ever! You need to listen to their new song "panic attack" it's 🔥🔥🔥
Kathy, you are so 🔥😍🥰
I've seen Priest 17 times in concert starting in Feb of 1978. They opened up for Foghat. They are always good live. I met the singer Rob Halford on the Screaming for Vengeance tour, and he's a really nice guy. He signed autos for every one of us kids out there waiting after the concert. I still have that auto.
Damn, you have me beat by a couple . 😅 only a couple though.
I want to go see them in mobile in April but I don't know if I can. I want to so badly cause you never know if it's the last.
@anandasmom I haven't seen them since KK left. They came not too long ago but I passed on seeing them. Trying more to see bands I haven't seen yet. Still have the ticket stub from the Foghat/Priest show. It cost $6.50.
@@markwilliams6394 I saw the firepower tour twice in one year. Glenn played some at the second on in Biloxi. First one was in DC.
I cried, as usual. I grew up with them and I fell in love with their style first time I heard them.
I want to go so bad but a critical car wreck took me so low. 2 yrs now and I'm just not gonna be right again I'm afraid.
I love them so much.
@anandasmom Sorry to hear about your car wreck. I rolled my car at 29 (30 years ago) so I get it with the lingering problems. I hurt my shoulder and had to quit my job of 4 years cuz it involved heavy lifting. Which I can't do anymore. An 18 wheeler ran me off the road. Hopefully, you recover enough to live a good life. I'll pray for you.
@@markwilliams6394 strange similtudes.
Thanks for your prayers, likewise Mark Williams. Be blessed.
The big eyes the big smiles, how awesome to watch this. I had the privilege of seeing them in Houston, Texas, at the Sam Houston Coliseum in 1984. What a show. Thanks for the reaction.
Your mother gets it, the writing is exciting. AMAZING , Way far ahead than that time. METAL GODS. 😎
This band is still going ofcourse they are old but they are still good. And they still play in front of huge crowds.
The metal gods at their prime, so fucking amazing!!!!
Saw JUDAS PRIEST perform at a smaller venue/500 person capacity building of which maybe there were 200 people there located in Maryland 1979 as a 18 year kid and have been a JUDAS PRIEST fan ever since !
What have you been under a rock Judas Priest been around since 1968 I'd be typing all day with all great songs they've done yes liked them since debut album
Judas Priest did a cover of Joan Baez’s folk song, “Diamonds and Rust” and made it into a Heavy Metal song. Then some years later they did an unplugged version of it for MTV taking it back closer to its folk roots. Then they performed it live for their RISING IN THE EAST dvd scaled back similar to the unplugged version. It is amazing! It really highlights Rob Halford’s vocal talents. I’d love to see you react to it. Thanks!

Yes, great performance! They need to see it...
I don’t think 🤔 there’s anything better than Judas Priest ?? Play some more from the same event ? Brilliant 🤩 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤

OMG Donna 😁 Old timer legends! 🤘 Hope Lulu doing well 👍
This is on day 2 of the 1983 US Festival.....which consisted of Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions and Van Halen....there were over 300,000 people in the crowd that day!
I'm happy to say that I have seen JP in concert...in person....for FREE! It was awesome, to say the least!
One of my favorite songs and one of my favorite reactions. Donna is just too adorable. The grandma we all wish we had. Please more Priest and Megadeth
Thank you
So much greatness.
I've seen him twice in the 80s. And then once in the nineties , they were awesome every time my ears rang for days
When I played in a Priest tribute this one may have been my favorite to play! The breakdown section was so cool to play!
Unleash the Priest!!!!!
I bought this album when it came out. Their next album was even better.
" Panic attack" !❤❤❤❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Priest rocks!

The greatest band to ever exist.
I feel a Judas Priest marathon coming on.
Judas Priest is an English heavy metal band formed in West Bromwich in 1969.West Bromwichis in the West Midlands, England. Not far from Brum aka Birmingham.
This is top teir heavy rock and roll. I've been a fan since 1974. This song kicks well you know lol.
Oh yes, US Festival 83. San Bernardino.. I was there about 69 feet from the stage. Amazing! Van Halen, Scorpions, Triumph, Ozzy Motley Crue and Quiet Riot also rocket it that day!!!

Hey grandma, the first time I heard Victim of Changes, I became a fan too.
Your faces were a picture when the song started. Love you, ladies.
There's no better band on earth, congrats on discovering them! You got some good times ahead.
Lol i had to laugh so hard wen donna reacted...reminds me of the first time i heard these guys and went woww what in the hell i love it lol
JP has tons of great hits 😊
I was lucky enought to be at this show back in the summer of 1983. It was the US Festival, 3 days of bands this was the final day called Heavy Metal Sunday. 250,000 people in attendance at Glen Helen regional park San Bernardino Mtns. California. It was Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest,Triumph, Scorpions and Headlining band was Van Halen. It was an AWESOME show.
Seen them twice, brilliant live. seeing you happy makes my day.
They can still play well and Halford (the lead singer) still has incredible range! I got to see them at Power Trip in October 2023 and they still sound great! They promoted their new album, too (coming soon in '24)
After watching your latest reaction to Judas Priest, Electric Eye, I just had to come back and watch this one again!!!
I enjoyed just as much as I did the first time... Donna's reaction is so priceless, I LMAO!!! 🤘😎🤘
I guessed you noticed she fell in love with Judas Priest. Lol. Never thought mom would love this band, but she does and made Lulu put it on her playlist.
To see where this band started look for judas priest at The Old Gray Whiskey. They do this song in a completely different way. Or just listen to Sad Wings Of Destiny. That is a great album from the mid 70s
Judas priest yeah metal gods my favorite metal band
I saw Judas Priest in Dortmund 1983 Westfalen Hallen Germany, with other great bands like Iron Maiden, The Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Krokus and the Michael Schenker Group. I had the time of my life
That was the US festival 1982 I believe. I think it was half a million attendees.
😂😂 Judas Priest 🤟🤟🇸🇪
My biggest metal love since 1978 (7yrs old)....
Rob Halford the metal god🤟
Your reactions are priceless! I am 59 years old and had the oppurtunity to see them at around this time early to mid eighties when there were in their prime. Judas Priest are considered one of if not the God Fathers of Heavy metal and my favorite bands just ahead of Iron Maiden. They have so many awesome songs but they are known for Breaking The Law, Living After Midnight, You've Got Anotheer Thing Coming , and the list goes on and on. One of my very favorites songs is Love Bites! Enjoy Judas Priest the way I did
Thank you for your thoughts Ladies!
US festival was awesome!!
I'm lovin' Donna's reaction. Just so perfect.
Judas priest are still going after 50 years rob halford is a brilliant singer is 71 , and there's plenty more where this comes from....and there 🇬🇧 !!!!
There Awesome sounding band if you ever seen them live.
"Aah Like um, Aah like um a laat" LOL. what a reaction!!!

Luv Donna's reaction!...priceless.
Check out "Dreamer/Deceiver BB C performance.
JUDAS PRIEST 70 AND JUDAS PRIEST 2024 KINGS OF METAL
haha Rob was so close to french kissing Glenn. XD
You ladies are in for a real treat because Judas Priest have a huge catalog, my absolute favorite is any song from the Screaming for vengeance album.
Love u Donna!! best wishes to Lulu hope you are doing better
Thanks
Welcome to the Priest faithful.
Great reaction - love all you gals!
This is pure heavy metal
Love me some Judas Priest. Saw them in concert back in the late 70s. They have so many bangers. Ripper is another one from the Sad Wings of Destiny album.
This appearance is from the the US festival, which ran for three days over Memorial Day weekend near San Bernadino, California in1983. Steve Wozniak, the original cofounder of Apple was one of the producers. The total attendance was reported as 670,000, which I think is for all three days, but that still must mean they are playing to at least 100,000 people. This was "Heavy Metal Day", and other bands on the bill included Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions and Van Halen...
Love this reaction, it`s honest and thank you for sharing
I appreciate that
If you love this song, listen to both of their entire first 2 albums.
We welcome two more Priest fans! I love it!
Ya gotta like Judas Priest!
Ladies I was 13 and at this concert with older cousins. It was epic! And you should try "Painkiller" next.
Great reaction as usual . React to the same band doing free wheel burning live at Dortmund
Forget all other live-gigs and go for Judas Priest Fuel for life-tour, live in Dallas -86! Beats everything else! "The Sentinel" and "Freewheel Burning" are awesome in that gig, you'll love it!!!😊
See if you can find the early years of Judas Priest playing Johnny Be Good at the Whiskey Test on RUclips. They put their awesome spin on this song. Definitely not what you would be expecting.
Such wonderful amazing excitement. That just made my day. JP is one of my most favorite bands. Wait till you hear them on the albums. His voice in incredible. The music is SUCH a blast!
Jesus Christ Rob Halford is fucking amazing.
Yes unbelievable 😍🤩 amazing band 👏 great great song wow
For Donna's sake, you will have to dig deep into the Judas Priest mountain of music!
My goodness you two made my day 😂😂😂
8:35 This is actually the band that brought that signature look to the metal. Leather and spikes is this bands legacy. Also we need to link this reaction to Rob 😏
that bit at 6.24 when he jumps back after that high note hold, he just knows he absolutely nailed it!
I loved your reaction, Judas Priest are awesome
Thank you!!
Seems like you guys are Metalheads - fantastic reaction to this legendary British Metal band - who have a new album coming out in March, with most of them in their 70's 🤘🤘🤘
Wow
I didn't expect that reaction from Donna, that was great! lol
The infamous Judas Priest... Rob Halford can hit those high notes like no other, add to that, Glen Tipton and KK Downing on Guitars, your in for an amazing show! 'Unleased In The East' is an outstanding live album!
And once again, I've seen them live several times, and each time they did not disappoint!!!
I didn't either, but she fell in love with them. I was laughing so hard at her. She is a mess. Lol
Best reaction from Donna so far. Awesome
Thank you
Judas Priest and Sabaton is coming your way in April-May.......Go Go Gooooo!!!!❤
This was my first time seeing your channel. Awesome reaction!!!! Liked and subscribed immediately. Look forward to seeing more of your content 🤘🤘
Thanks for subbing
"If there's any other songs..." she said 😂. How about the first 5 albums? Can't go wrong with anything you pick from those.... Hahaha
