I bought two bicycles from China and they work great. Just set your expectation according to the price. But if you buy a cheaper road bike with cheaper components, it will work great. and while the components make 20% the rest depends on the engine (the rider). I wanted to ask your opinion - I'm looking to get into carbon road bikes at the $2500-$3000 range - The Sava bikes seem decently well reviewed, and seem to give a lot in the price range I'm at for getting my foot into the door of riding full Carbon Hydraulic - can you give any advice if the preformance would be good on these? (I'm not a racer, just a rider that wants to go fast.) Would you have any personal recommendations on a good chinese brand? I see you showcase elves a lot - would it be them?
I haven't heard much positive about Sava, but I don't have personal experience with it. $2500-3000 is just a pretty bad price range, unless you are willing to do your own build and do some compromises on certain parts (frame/wheels/groupset). Of course, you can also buy cheaper non-branded frames, but I don't have much experience with them and there is a greater risk of quality issues. I have an article (and lots of other content) on my website where you can find Chinese brands worth looking at. Of the cheaper ones with decent quality, I would single out ICAN.

We've known of these bikes for a while but trade relations aren't great at the moment and bike tariffs from China are extremely high.
Yeah, the USA-China trade war... Could you give us an example of the price markup? I know that Elves started with US distributors recently. The prices are still pretty competitive.
@cyclistshub Sure, any bike I try to order from Alibaba has a $300 shipping rate, not including import duties which are sometimes charged during transit. There is a whole business that does 3rd party shipping arraignments from China that is hard to navigate and confusing. Ordering direct from manufacturer means that the order will have to be picked up at the port it docks to, there is no guarantee the order will reach you directly. I was hoping to get some of these bikes stateside to start a direct to consumer store, that idea quickly fell apart with the shipping rates.
I understand. So, there is a big risk and no guaranteed outcome. 🤷♂️ Anyway, based on the current state of the cycling industry, you're probably lucky you didn't get into this business. 😅

@@cyclistshub maybe you are right about the partnerships. But why not. But at least they do not show shameless copies of original designs like you did. And the algorithm can be influenced in several ways.
Sorry but those carbon from that particular country always create problem, lots of carbon footprints, no qc, some with false labours/ child labour, I will pay a bit more for the quality and safety, I have own a lot of these frame and wheel before, good value but shit is shit tho
Totally fine for me to attack GCN. But especially as an attacker you should always stick to the truth ... GCN has shown some products that appear in your video. And just to be fair, GCN has a few more subscribers than you, so there's a need to weigh up whether products that aren't officially available in the EU and US need to be featured in their videos... at least for people who aren't quite into the technical details and who cannot buy the stuff. So thumbs down for this video! BUT keep going - genrally I think, I share your concern that cycling is becoming a kind of sport for the rich and the pricing of established manufacturers is catastrophic these days ... so it is absolutly fair to look for alternatives.
Technically, I am sticking to the truth if GCN won't show you at least 2 products that I did. :-D Look, I think it's clear that GCN is completely another beast. For them, it's business/entertainment. For me, it was about finding "interesting and exotic tech." Based on the feedback and views, I dare to say I succeeded. :-)
I will keep watching GCN because when you talk 70% of your speech is Aaaah Aaaah Aaaah , it’s not professional. If you listen to your vlog it’s like your not sure what your talking about
Sure, nobody tells you otherwise. 😊 I am not a native speaker and this is one of the ways I push myself speaking in English, getting more confident, and improve over time. Every GCN presenter is waaaay more experienced than I am. 🙃 Thanks for the feedback, though. ✌️
you know how gcn never review chinese product even tho most of the stuffs are made and QC! in China ... shimano is Japan. really nothing is made and developed in europ except time bike. wheelset ... except lightweight, you should never go for any over priced european brand . they are all shit and made in the same factory anyway
None of the wheels you brought to our attention would be commonly serviceable in a U.S. bike shop. You didn't show us any wheels that were rim brake compatible. Nor did you show us any component groups that would be filling the loss of mechanical group sets. Electronic gadgets are not relevant because in a short amount of time they are old and replaced by some new and more flashy junk. I did suffer through your 14 min video. Maybe next time you can find rim brake stuff. And cable actuated shifters.
Your point about serviceability is correct. I could mention that. Actually, I should mention many more things, but I always forget something. 🤷♂️😅 Because of where the market is heading, it almost makes no sense to pursue rim brakes any further. I'm sorry. Well, if I had to film something about every product I hadn't filmed anything about, I'd still be filming in a month. You have no idea how big this place is and how many things there are. :-D Yes, I imagine you "suffered," but mostly because of my English. I certainly need to improve it.

Classic click bait title.
I've seen worse. 😅
What I was think is like gcn and uci. They are just a sequence of European dirty business in cycling industries 😂
😅
bro he saying always aaahh
Drink a shot every time I say "aahh"! 🤣
@@cyclistshub I'd be drunk in 3 minutes🤣🤣
You'd die of alcohol poisoning before the end of the video!
Cycplus assioma pedals 😂
Haha, yeah. 😅 But these ones should be compatible with Shimano SPD-SL cleat system.
😂 Won't show you... Its just exact what happen
Did I miss something?
@@cyclistshub no, you do good job 👍 you cover all product very well. Waiting for your new vids 🎉
Thanks! The DAY 3 is OUT!
Sorry but those carbon from that particular country always create problem, lots of carbon footprints, no qc, some with false labours/ child labour, I will pay a bit more for the quality and safety, I have own a lot of these frame and wheel before, good value but shit is shit tho
Which Chinese wheels and frames have you used?
Judging bikes from only look is very unprofessional 😅and only China brand angry you , so weird
Comment of the week :-)
You know gcn only promotes brands that pays them to right? It's a commercial channel
@@twillyspanksyourcakes Yes, clear ... but I doubt that L-Twoo was paying for their product
Technically, I am sticking to the truth if GCN won't show you at least 2 products that I did. :-D
Look, I think it's clear that GCN is completely another beast.
I am not a native speaker and this is one of the ways I push myself speaking in English, getting more confident, and improve over time.
Every GCN presenter is waaaay more experienced than I am. 🙃
Thanks for the feedback, though. ✌️
All these carbon items...carbon cant be recycled
Well, you brought up a good point. We often forget the environmental aspect of carbon. It could be an interesting topic for discussion.
Nice clickbait
It clearly works 😅
you know how gcn never review chinese product even tho most of the stuffs are made and QC! in China ... shimano is Japan. really nothing is made and developed in europ except time bike. wheelset ... except lightweight, you should never go for any over priced european brand . they are all shit and made in the same factory anyway
Which brand is your favorite?
Parasitic title, otherwise meh.
You're here commenting, so the headline served its purpose. 🙃✌
Lol keep crying
Shure your car has no safety belt, hand operated windows und no steering & brake assistant 😀
@victorrodriguez2806
Rim brakes are dead. You have been defeated. Cheers
@RYTHMICRIOT
Sorry, you are wrong. But cheers to you, too.
Your point about serviceability is correct. I could mention that. Actually, I should mention many more things, but I always forget something. 🤷♂️😅
Because of where the market is heading, it almost makes no sense to pursue rim brakes any further. I'm sorry.
Well, if I had to film something about every product I hadn't filmed anything about, I'd still be filming in a month. You have no idea how big this place is and how many things there are. :-D
Yes, I imagine you "suffered," but mostly because of my English. I certainly need to improve it.
