Interesting ranking. This house is not for sale is not an album I’ve even listened to, may have to give that one a go now. These days is my number one though, the vocal harmonies, the bluesy guitar playing and overall darker tone really apples to me. My guitar lies bleeding and something to believe in are stand outs on that album.
As a life long Bonjovi fan, I began to fall off the wagon after their these days album. From Crush onward their albums and songs seemed to just sound bland and repetitive. Lost highway seemed like an attempt to change things up and find a new audience but for most part it’s been rinse and repeat
Homebound Train is a killer song. Saw them in the bay area open for the Scorpions, think Blackout tour. They got booed off stage. Kiss and Bon Jovi not as popular in my area back then. More LA and east coasty
i always felt These Days was better than Keep The Faith....since glam metal had long passed anyway These Days to me was a good departure for them musically and in songwriting ability....the last BJ record i really liked was Bounce and that was 20 years ago.Have A Nice Day has its moments but its not number one on my list. From 1984 to 2002 i recommend all of that including KTF
Jovi were my intro to rock in 1988. Loved them, and followed them through the artistic highs of the 90s (both Jovi albums and both sets of Jon and Richies solo albums). Musically and lyrically quite a progression. What came next was so disappointing. There are good tracks on each release, but through the 2000s each album dispensed with more of their personality, the guitars were mixed as a muddy inoffensive wall, and a lot was simply bland. Lyrically some descended to Hallmark cards set to music - easy answers, empty platitudes. "My life" songs, battling an unknown foe, climbing that mountain. Army of one. Too many cliched cheesy lyrics. Not all obviously. The sound was neutered, the rock edge smoothed out. An almost emo-rock sound, very 2000s.
@@mrboulder9714 I also thought THINFS was an improvement over the previous few. It included some of their best tracks in a while in New Years Day, Living with the Ghost and a few others.
These Days was the beginning of their decline, a snoozefest of an album with so many lame ballads. As far as 2020 goes, I agree its a terrible album. To be honest you're spoilt for choice for bad albums towards the end of the discography. Thanks for watching and commenting
@robs2126 I know enough to know that their songwriting for the past 20 years has, for the most part, been very bland. 150 million people can be wrong, as their are a lot of sheep who follow the crowd and buy in to what's popular. As for cheer up, I'm doing just fine thanks, sorry I didn't spend the whole of this video blowing smoke up the arse of your favourite band. Enjoy your day

No way would I ever compare DL to BJ. That is doing a gross injustice to the great Def Leppard name. Bon Jovi has been lame af for a long time. DL even to this day are not considered to be a lame band.
It's really not an injustice to Def Leppard to compare them to Bon Jovi. Both are commercial rock bands and both have not released anything really good in 30 years

This House is definitely worth checking out. I enjoy the bluesy playing on These Days, I just don't really enjoy the songs. Thanks for watching
I checked out early. Actually all I need is the first two. Nice to get your perspective though MB. Rock on!
Cheers Ronnie. First 2 are bangers 👌
When did you first become a Bon Jovi fan?
In 1986
@@mrboulder9714 Cool, me too.
@@BradCarlMusic Thanks for watching
For me, first 2 albums are the best. Slippery is OK. I bought them all as they came out. It was downhill from there IMHO.
First 2 are excellent album's. Thank you for watching
He is right the first three he mentioned suck
Quite a few towards the bottom end of that list are shite
As a life long Bonjovi fan, I began to fall off the wagon after their these days album. From Crush onward their albums and songs seemed to just sound bland and repetitive. Lost highway seemed like an attempt to change things up and find a new audience but for most part it’s been rinse and repeat
The quality of their albums these past 20 years has definitely plummeted. They used to make such great music. Cheers for watching fella
Homebound Train is a killer song. Saw them in the bay area open for the Scorpions, think Blackout tour. They got booed off stage. Kiss and Bon Jovi not as popular in my area back then. More LA and east coasty
Never seen Bon Jovi live. After the recent footage from the latest tour I won't be bothering. Such a shame about Jon's voice
@@mrboulder9714 in the 80s and 90s they were really good live
I’m sorry, but when you said “She’s a Mystery” is one of their best ballads, I had to click off the video lol
Compared to many of their other dreadful ballads that one is decent
Have every Bon Jovi CD up until The Circle.
New Jersey is fantastic, so many great songs on that album. Thanks for watching fella
i always felt These Days was better than Keep The Faith....since glam metal had long passed anyway These Days to me was a good departure for them musically and in songwriting ability....the last BJ record i really liked was Bounce and that was 20 years ago.Have A Nice Day has its moments but its not number one on my list. From 1984 to 2002 i recommend all of that including KTF
i actually did give up after What About Now ....that and the Circle are still here in the room
Thanks for watching and commenting. I agree with a lot of what you say here, every album post 2000 is a mix of ok and terrible music
@@mrboulder9714 I also thought THINFS was an improvement over the previous few. It included some of their best tracks in a while in New Years Day, Living with the Ghost and a few others.
2020 is the worst album they’ve ever made by a country mile & these days is also a class album not sure why you dislike it so much.
These Days was the beginning of their decline, a snoozefest of an album with so many lame ballads. As far as 2020 goes, I agree its a terrible album. To be honest you're spoilt for choice for bad albums towards the end of the discography. Thanks for watching and commenting
Not a fan but I do like 75800 Fahrenheit I think it’s their best album
It is a great album. Thanks for watching
"These days" sounds very "Aerosmith " to me , except the opener..
It's a dull album. Aerosmith is better than These Days. Thanks for watching and commenting 👌
@Mr Boulder my thought is that this was quite good, not as good as "keep the faith," though, what came after that was actually worse...
@@w7class Couldn't agree more. Other than This House Is Not For Sale, the later stuff is dreadful for the most part
Burning bridges was bad preferred Lost Highway
Lost Highway is definitely better. Cheers for watching and commenting
They peaked with 7800°F (don't care if Jon doesn't like it) after Slippery When Wet and New Jersey, they sucked.
Keep The Faith was the last decent one for me. And yes, 7800 Farenheit is excellent. Cheers for watching
like you videos, you should cut in a few seconds of some of the tunes you are chatting about, it lifts the entite energy of the content.
Cheers for watching and commenting
None of their albums is bad.
Their post 2000 output is mostly very dull
You obviously don’t know much about Bon Jovi or their songwriting . 150 million people can’t be wrong
These days is one of the best albums
Ps cheer up
@robs2126 I know enough to know that their songwriting for the past 20 years has, for the most part, been very bland. 150 million people can be wrong, as their are a lot of sheep who follow the crowd and buy in to what's popular. As for cheer up, I'm doing just fine thanks, sorry I didn't spend the whole of this video blowing smoke up the arse of your favourite band. Enjoy your day
@@mrboulder9714 😂😂😂 Clearly you don’t that obvious. If you did you know the story behind Burning bridges. If that you happy whole f**k as the song says Have a nice day.
Ps ain’t my favourite band
@robs2126 Apologies for not knowing EVERY single little thing about Bon Jovi. 🙄 Off you go sunshine 😂
@@mrboulder9714 Apology accepted 😂
@@robs2126 There was no apology
The first four albums are the best after that they change the style or the magic gone
The first 5 are excellent, they've released some shocking nonsense recently
This review might as well have been done by a rap fan.
@@matthewo5809 All our opinions are different
No way would I ever compare DL to BJ. That is doing a gross injustice to the great Def Leppard name. Bon Jovi has been lame af for a long time. DL even to this day are not considered to be a lame band.
It's really not an injustice to Def Leppard to compare them to Bon Jovi. Both are commercial rock bands and both have not released anything really good in 30 years
@@mrboulder9714 Do you think the Crüe would ever ask Bon Jovi to co-headline a world tour? Not a chance in hell!!! Def agree to strongly disagree!
