Love Dorothy Appleby🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love the hat that Dorothy Appleby is wearing dancing with Curly at 4:23. Curly was a very good ballroom dancer in real life.
0:48 "Quiet Bowser"
So Mario existed in the early 20th century?! EPIC
Moe : "oh, he [Curly] don't mean any harm, lady. He's just touched in the head about tassels."
Wow, the segment where the Television was a new invention shows you how old these episodes are. It was back in the 1930's. When television was first invented. Now it is just another piece of furniture in your house. And compare the size of them compared to the one in the episode. Times have changed. The three stooges will live on for future generations! their comedy can be appreciated by everyone.
That's why I love old films from the 30s and 40s. When technologies that seem simple today were brand new back then, like radio and television. Even "talking" films were relatively new at the time.
Nice to see all these ladies in their different roles.
Some I recognize from famous movies.
Sure Glad I Came Across Ur Channel Mark !! Forgot About All These Actress’s & Actor’s Who Worked Along Side The Stooges !! Great Comedy Actors In Their Own Right !! Thnx Mark...👍
Thanks for viewing!!!
So nice to see clips featuring Bess Flowers. She was smart, elegant, and serenely beautiful. Bess owned a fabulous wardrobe and became known as Queen of the Dress Extras; you can spot her in many hundreds of films from the 1920s to the mid 1960s. She had some promise as a leading lady during the silent era, but her height, 5'8", worked against her. A shame.
Glad you enjoyed it!
why?
I once read that Bess Flowers appeared in more Oscar-winning films than anyone else in Hollywood. Of couse, she was an extra, but be that as it may, she holds the record!
If you've never seen Dorothy Appleby's version of "La Danse Apache" from the 1935 film Charlie Chan in Paris you can't fully appreciate her amazing talent.
Lucille Ball was also one of the girls!
The scene with Hilda Title laughing with the other gals in the Pullman car, first time I saw it when Curly pulled her away from the group I said to myself, "Holy cow, she was standing up." She was the one actress who could make the Stooges look tall. Dorothy Appleby should have gotten some kind of award for that scene with the mud pack. There was no cut in the scene so you know it really was her, not a double or stand in. No wonder she preferred working with Buster Keaton.
You know you're petite when any of the Stooges called you "Shorty" as Curly called Dorothy Appleby in the first clip.
Bess Flowers was great with the stooges. I wonder what ever happened to Hilda Title- she was great!
Whenever my brother and I would see Hilda Title in a Stooges episode, we'd say, "Hey, look! It's Honeysuckle!" (Moe once called her that, I think it was in "A Pain In The Pullman.")
8:17 Hilda sure was a Beauty!!
Yep, so hot!🔥
HILDA TITLE Where did you GO Sweety?
One of the daughters in "Oily To Bed" is the lady who played "Mattie Herring" in "You Nazty Spy".
Very good catch. She is beautiful too!
@@JP5466 The Stooges actually had some lookers in in their films. (Who'd have thunk it?)
8:37 was she almost breaking right there? Lol.
Yep.

Woo WOO WOO!!!
Disbelieving frontier woman: "Sitting ... Bull ?!?!
Curly: Okay, so he was standing!
Gotta hand it to Dorothy for being able to project nothing but irritation with the Stooges.
@@MarkBlairs-Stooge-Channel I always liked her, thought she was such a cutie!
Glad to see Hilda Title included. Loved her take no guff personality. In "Pain in the pullman" they use her real name when they're boarding the train.
I included where she breaks character and busts out laughing during the crab/turtle eating scene.
How can one be that close to Curly and not laugh out loud!
She was cute
@@Mrd9960 YOU bet! Hilda was.............

@@HerbWalker Yep definitely!🔥
Park it toots. Thanks mark needed a stooge fix
My pleasure.
Had it wrong curly says park it butch.
At 8:32 Hilda Title is laughing for real.
I know. It's great!

Actually in that scene, Curly was cutting the inside of his mouth with that shell.
Died 😢
0:40 Curly's marking his territory.
You missed the best one with Hilda Title: When she got hit in the ah, er, ...back door with a cream puff in "Slippery Silks"! 🥧😂
Dang it!
Even though she only made two appearances with the Stooges, both 1942, I feel Julie Gibson should have been included.
I may do a vote thing after this series to get a feel for what the next collection should consist of. Maybe something like "Actors we wish appeared in more episodes"
What was it like to clean up after a 3 Stooges. film was made ?.
Another woman who appeared in several shorts was, Diana Darrin, most notably Larry's secretary in, He Cooked His Goose, very very attractive woman!
Miss Lapsdale.
@@MarkBlairs-Stooge-Channel Yeah, she was my favorite of all the stooge girls😍
Bess Flowers was fine!
she sure was. A Texas flower at that !
What is the name of the woman on far left at 19:51? Always a favorite as a "society hostess."
9:20 obvious doubles
Yes!!!! The guy playing Larry almost looks like he has a mask on!
That makes it even funnier.
Good job Mark! BTW, I always confused Dorothy Appleby with Phyllis Coates, who played Lois Lane in the early years of Superman.
I get that. You're talking about the George Reeves series right?
Paul Esposito Such a sweetheart! She was s solid. comic actress but never broke through because she was only 5’ , which was no problem playing opposite short guys like the Stooges but would kill a woman’s chances back then. She always reminded me of Claudette Colbert.
Curley, Dorothy and some seriously great jazz from 4:24.
@@roberthill1166
She even SOUNDS like C. C.!
I always liked Dorothy, thought she was really cute and pretty!
0:41 Which one is the crazy one ?
Bess Flowers (Mrs. Manning Wife) It's Baby Baby My Baby Come Darling
👍👍
Would you happen to know who played Bess Flowers' maid in Termites Of 1938? ("Scriminatin'. I guess this must be it")
Etta McDaniel - Sister of Hattie McDaniel (Gone with the Wind) and Sam McDaniel (Heavenly Daze)
@@MarkBlairs-Stooge-Channel I kinda figured that. She both looks and sounds like her sister.
Okay, with the "mud pack" facial, how did that poor actress breathe?? They must've replaced her with a dummy, and she moaned off-screen.
Imagine 4:07 on television today...
