In 1974 I was 14 and had worked all year after school and weekends to buy $900 bucks worth of Pioneer home stereo. My brother came home on leave from the Navy and put an LP from a group I'd never heard of on the platter and cranked it up, it was "Tres Hombres," 💥 mind blown! RIP Dusty 😢

Frank is one of the best drummers in the world.
The way he unites and cements ZZ Top music is simply a standard of perfection.
He is one of the 3 drummers I know who play music, not beat rhythm.
He's been - you do not need to hit a thousands beat a second to be the great musician.

You're right. Billy is the man. His playing and tone are amazing. Nothing is wasted, and nothing is there that isn't supposed to be. I love ZZ Top.

Rumor has it that when Jimi Hendrix was asked who the greatest guitar player in the world was, he said Billy Gibbons.

You know, these guys never do anything super fancy in a song, they just do the right thing at the right time and sound bigger than any shredders playing 10 times the notes. 🤣

Yeah the shredders should play like zz top. all of them. Imagine how much better the world would be if every body did the same thing.
