What's a real mindfuck is that this is the same mix I heard live at the 50 yr. reunion of the Texas International Pop Fest. I've never a live rock band sound that good. Especially outside!
A straightforward music video by the little ole band from Texas. I love seeing Dusty doing his deal on the bass guitar. Watching it makes me happy. And sad.
Billy has the blues voice. Dusty has the rock voice. I think Dusty is one of the best rock cocals ever. ZZ Top is best when they sing together IMHO. Stuff like this and Beer Drinkers.
Oh, a fellow Quo fan! Yeah, I'm impressed by Frank - it's obviously slower than the original, but even at that speed it's still a hellishly complex drum part.
I've always loved ZZ Top, but it wasnt until I really started to focus on learning the guitar that I realized just how much of a legendary genius Billy is on the guitar.
40 лет назад мне 6 лет было🤣, я их первый раз лет в 20 услыщал и с тех пор так же от них балдею!... А вы помните, они бороды сбрить обещали, если Союз развалится?
Simply one of the most bad-ass and original riffs ever. Love 70's ZZ Top. I used to listen to XEROK dominate the air waves from across the border and there was nothing the FCC could do about it. I heard a lot of great music on the "X."
I went to music school with Guitarists who could play 10,000 notes per second and could never in a million years play guitar like this. RIP Dusty Hill.
I'm a beginner, how hard is this to play, how many strings is he hitting with the pick in the main riff, and what do i need to reproduce the lead guitars unique sound in this version of this song? Would really appreciate your opinion.
Just listened to the whole album as it's amazing they still sound just like they did way back when these were recorded! Billy Gibbons is every guitar players guitar hero. I'm telling you those 70s albums are another breed of cool. Billy's tone and ability to have the finest touch or just rip your head off in his licks is second to none. He is one of my biggest influences and one bad motha.. Rest In Peace Dusty Hill.. one of the best voices in rock n roll and certainly top 10 bassists of all time ✌🖤🤘 🌹
Went to see them in Grand Island the other night. Very sad not seeing Dusty but Elwood did his best filling in for him. Great show as always! Tim Montana and the Shrednecks opened. They put on a great show also! Overall a great night!!!! Got to meet Tim and his band. Really down to earth people!
It was 1978-80 that I flew them on several tours around the country. What a hoot it was to fly theses guys. Franks girlfriend went with us most of the time. She is his wife now. Dusty always sat up front in the cockpit with me. Got to know him quite well. And I sure do miss him now.
@@albradley5527 that is fantastic times for you!!!! That's about the same time my friends turned me onto marijuana and the boyzz. What a beautiful combo. El Loco was my first zz concert in Lincoln Nebraska at perishing. Walked in with cheap sunglasses and t shirts and come back out to a good ole Nebraska blizzard. 41 years and well over 20 concerts from one side of the states to the other end and all points in between.
@@nebraskamike607 yea, one of the cities we flew into was Minneapolis. After we landed Billy came up front with a gorillas head and told me to put it on while we taxi in. You should have seen the look on the lineman’s face when he was parking us. Lol Will never forget that one. Lol
I love how Frak sits there, almost motionless, as he plays. Speaking of sitting, I'm not accustomed to seeing The Reverend Willy G sitting as HE plays. Lastly, I'm glad they have the footage of Dust performing for this collection. 🙏 💪🏻 🎸 🇺🇸
I soo needed this ... RIP DUSTY . Gotta be considered a slot for OVERALL best rock band. By God they started in HIGH SCHOOL. THAT ALONE is undescribable for a label band
Haven't seen ZZ Top perform live since the 80's in Seattle for the Eliminator tour....Cannot wait to see them next week in Alpharetta...sure will miss Dusty tho.

Where is this video from? I love the format. No distractions from an audience, no corny music video stuff, just crystal clear footage of a great band playing a great song.
I've always loved this song, and have been fortunate enough to hear them play it live on many occasions. One of the few bands that have made me stop whatever I was doing, to make sure I got to the show!

We all leave. Just stay happy because Dusty and this incredible music happened for all of us.
I forget how important Dusty's vocals were to ZZTop. I love this band so much....so sad Dusty is gone. Carry the torch Rev Billy G and Frank.
✌️☮️🕊
That’s why with out Dusty there is no ZZ top
My x had hiv I do not I saw Dusty's face on Hep magazine. He lasted a long time with it ZZ to me is up w VH Rock on!!!!

Frank's drumming on this is out of this world! 🥁
Oh, a fellow Quo fan! Yeah, I'm impressed by Frank - it's obviously slower than the original, but even at that speed it's still a hellishly complex drum part.
This song brings back memories of good old times.
Yup. That's good times 👍

Frank is the coolest drummer in the world
The whole band is the definition of cool.
These three are flat out bad ass
This is such a totally COOL performance by 3 PROS!!!
Frank has such a phenomenal groove that nobody could match. Left hand is always out of this world in the 70’s tunes.
Hello its ZZZ top.
A bloody bass filled tune. I love it. RIP Dusty.
some beards are never too old for rock'n'roll. Lemmy told it once, before he left the building👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
