They are just a "little ol band from texas" I'm pretty sure they could accidentally drop a guitar and it would immediately climb the chart straight to number one
In 83 I was 15 and got this cassette for Christmas. Played it non stop. Huge love for these guys ever since. Just saw them tonight in downtown Reno Nevada. Damn, totally Epic.
I was a senior in high school when this album came out. Man I wore that cassette out in my ole 50 Chevy truck! Painted it candy apple red.

Them three boys from Texas are a royal American treasure. Legendary blues rockers. I saw them tonight in downtown Reno Nevada and they full on rocked the house. It was Epic!

Loved the tiny crackle at the start as the needle touched the vinyl.
In the summer this first came out, I was riding shotgun in my friends jeep headed east Rte 50 and when Thug came on, I looked over to the right side of the road and when I looked out my window I saw the Chesapeak Bay about 200 feet directly under our wheels. That's how I recall the scene from my mind, this song. Thanks
I was born in 1981, and raised on this. Love it!! My father was a big fan, so naturally. So this is the kind of music I was surrounded by. It's epic.

A perfect album from a better time!
The first time I saw the Top spin was the Fandango tour in Tulsa Oklahoma; Fall of 1976. I loved this little ol' band since then. I was 17, I'm 65 and still jammin' the hell out of ZZ Top.

Back in my crazier days, this was my album of choice when indulging in some booger sugar. Thanks for the upload.
This is the first album where when I heard it the first time I was able to pick up a guitar and play the whole damn thing without ever having heard it! It happened again with the Cult's "Electric" album (basically this album but made by Englanders) I think that's the only two times though.
A lot of peoople rate this "turning point" for ZZ Top as a new height, but... (my grandaddy always said, "Nuthin' in a sentence matters before the BUT") I think I'll always love the 1970's flavours of this band.
Still... "Eliminator" is ICONIC. One of the best albums ever. I'll listen to "Tres Hombres" after this one and restore balance to my universe... Happy Trails, Y'all!
