My dogs are 5 and 6 years old. Never any accidents. But the last few weeks I've been working 15+ hour days and they have had a few accidents, I cant be upset at them, I couldn't expect anyone to hold it that long. But it is frustrating. I cannot get the smell out of the carpet. Feel I've tried everything. I'm close to ripping out the carpet but I may pull it up and just replace the padding underneath because I'm sure that's where its trapped considering I've cleaned and shampood the carpet a dozen times.
I have a carpet cleaner coming this Saturday to hit some cat urine spots (odor). Also just purchased these two products from Cobbs with high hopes after watching this video. Hes not peeling back carpet, but this technique/chemistry makes sense. Thanks
I Literally ripped out my carpet from my apartment walk in closet it was disgusting It was not salvageable and unlivable. I’m so embarrassed 🙈 I didn’t know what else to do so now I have to replace the carpet on my own.
You're welcome Anthony! When you start cleaning this will be a walk in the park for you to replace padding and re install the carpet. Thank you for your support and kind words!
Hey I know this is an older video but hopefully you still see my message, so I currently live in a rental and my dog peed on a brand new carpet, i did my best to soak up the pee right when it happened but im worried itll leave a stain on the underside like in your video, is there any way I can completely remove the stains without having to lift up the carpet?
Thanks for your comment! I'm not sure on that as I usually always pull back the carpet so I can see which areas are the worse so I can treat them. Sorry I wasn't able to help more on that!
@@justsaygold Thanks for the quick reply! I enjoy watching your videos, they are very educational. Following up on my initial message, I know where the pee spots are, can those spots be removed by applying solution from the fluffy side rather than from the underside?
@@hinokki675 you're welcome! Here is a video on how carpet cleaners will usually do it from the top without pulling up the carpet - ruclips.net/video/9SdOREC-wmc/видео.html You might be able to try something like that with a shop vac but I'm not too sure.
I wish we had carpet cleaners like this in Anchorage area. They charged us around $1k for 2 bedrooms and a flight of stairs... they only sprayed the top carpet and used a shampoo-machine then said they can't get the stains out bc its old. 😔 Totally our fault but we was still hopeful bc they had 5 star reviews and claimed to be knowledgable about pet urine stains. 😅
Try applying some peroxide to the stained areas with a spray bottle! I own a carpet cleaning business, and some of the yellow stains can be a nightmare to get out… even though it’s clean, the yellow stain remains. Just spray it lightly and it dry over night.. works really well!
Great video. Yes, getting directly to the source is key. The knowledge to make/reseams and stretch the carpet back in afterwards makes a big difference from just being the average carpet cleaner.
blacklight before and after does not work because despite destroying and removing the pet urine---the phosphorus will continue to show under the black light because phosphorous is an atom and can not be removed. so an area can be completely odor-free and still glow under a blacklight

Great job. You’re the man! Those products are a must for urine. Do you ever clean and seal the subfloor? I like kilz max from HD.
Thank you! Yes I use that same product if the urine is bad enough to get to the subfloor!
what tool are you using to go over the carpet after treating it
Absolutely great video, great job on that Nick
Thank you Reuben I appreciate you checking it out!

I hope everything goes well for you!
Doesn’t that enzyme leave a sticky residue from not rinsing?
Thank you! I'm waiting for the shipment to arrive, can't wait to get to carpet cleaning :)
You're welcome!
What does a service like this cost?
It just depends on the size of the area and all that is involved but for this one I think it was between $300-400 for everything.

I hear you! Sometimes it's best to just replace it but good thing it's just a closet!
Do you any recommendations for a company in Vegas?
Dude that was awesome
Thank you!!!
Awesome video Nick. Thanks for teaching us the proper way to remove urine. You my friend are a Master at your craft. 👍🏻

I saturate my carpet and use a shop vac to get it all out. I have to do it this way since my carpets can't be pulled back. Hope this helps :)

Thank you so much!!
You're welcome, I hope the video was helpful!
So you are saying even with a black light, you don’t see the urine on the carpet?
No I don't think I said that, from my experience the carpet will still show the urine stain with a black light.
Can you come to California and do my carpets? LOL

Thank you for watching and for adding that. I agree!
Do you ever do a blacklight before and after?
Not really but that is a great idea
@@justsaygold i have yet to see anyone do it so I think it would be a really good video
@@betterpupsdogtraining8522 exactly what I thought, I will try it out! Thank you!

Definitely. Water claw is for the non carpet guy. 😀
when you mentioned the padding…do you sometimes replace it?
Yes padding should be replaced
I need you in Virginia pretty please!!!
I recommend this company! virginiacarpetrepair.com/m/
