I NEED HELP!😭 My puppy had a pretty bad pee accident on the back seat of my car. The urine went inside the cushion.😳 This happened about a year ago. We've tried MAAAANY different products that only masked the smell temporarily.😤 In the winter the smell of urine wasn't so bad. But in the summer the smell is terrible.🤮🤭 I won't let any friends in my car... I'm so embarrassed about it!!!😩 Can I use Odoban on the back seat of my car? Oh, my goodness gracious! I recently came into possession of a home that had had a roof leak for years, plus pets, smokers, and decades of general neglect. I know I will eventually remove the carpets in the bedrooms, but with all the other MAJOR repairs I'm tackling, hardwood through the upper level is just not in the budget at the moment. However, the stench of the carpets was killing me. It kept me awake at night, even from across the hallway. It was a mix of cigarette smoke, animal urine, and wet/decomposing carpet underlayment. I used a Hoover carpet shampooer with the brand's recommended solution for pet messes, and while it did a fair job in bringing dirt up, the SMELL just got worse, despite shampooing it 3 times in 3 days! Walking through the hardware store for something else, I noticed OdoBan. It said it could be used on carpets, so I got it. I made solution (1 cup of OdoBan to a gallon of hot water), filled the shampooer with it, and washed the carpet in the main room twice. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! There is the faintest, faintest smell of mustiness still (that could very well be mold in the drywall and plywood, not the carpet itself) but the revolting mix of urine, smoke, and dirt is gone! I cannot believe it! Where has this product been all my life???!!! I am so impressed that I wanted to leave this review here so others are encouraged to try it. (I used the Fresh Linen scent and found it very pleasant; it reminds me of baby wipes). Great, great product!

Hi, Well you asked for people that uses OdoBan to write here. Well? I am here. The question for me is ‘where do you not use odoban’ ? I use it every room in my home. Bathroom-to clean toilet, floor, counter, sink Bedroom-lightly spray on mattress, and bedding Living room-spray for sofa, curtains, carpet Kitchen-clean counters, stove, backsplash, curtains. That’s just a few things I use OdoBan. I don’t do all of these every day, depending on how I am cleaning whichever room I am in.
I love OdoBan! We use it at homer, Hubby uses it on his construction jobs, we use it in the kitchen, laundry, for pet areas and accidents, it is so helpful, and no other stuff beats it!
QUESTION ABOUT PET URINE OR SPRAY!!! So I do Love OdoBan! I use it for almost all my cleaning! My experience previously, I have outside kitty's that will come in and I don't have carpet. I have original hardwood floors , lots of wood furniture, OdoBan has ammonia in it and i tried using it to removed one of my stubborn Kitty's spray 😱 and cleaners with ammonia or ammonium seem to highlight this Horrible Smell With a Very Aggressive Smell!!! So my question is how does OdoBan help these smells if your supposed to use the opposite types of cleaning solutions avoiding ammonia??? Thanks
Thanks for your question and thank you for choosing OdoBan, Misty! OdoBan does not contain ammonia. The active ingredient of OdoBan disinfectants is alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride. This is a fairly large, complex molecule that provides the antibacterial action and part of the odor neutralization mechanism in the product. It has a mild odor and in our formula a neutral pH. It is a very different chemical than ammonia, which is small, volatile chemical that was very common in cleaning products in the past, often used as a solvent in grease removers and window cleaners. Ammonia is sold as a liquid with a VERY strong smell and a high pH. Both of those characteristics contribute to making urine smells worse. Here's a little more info about our original eucalyptus scent and what makes it so great again unwanted odors, including pet urine odor. Watch here: ruclips.net/video/gOLUUnT7_OE/видео.html
Love odoban already. I just ordered a gallon and im cleaning my whole house and its already smelling fresh. Going to use it in an extractor. Super excited
We have cat urine in multiple places on our carpet. We've tried using nature's miracle and another similar product on the stains already but they're not completely gone. If we want to try using OdoBan is it okay that the stains have already been sprayed with other product as long as it's dry?
I purchased the spray bottles of Odoban in bulk but would like to use it in my carpet cleaner. Since the spray is not a concentrate, what is the proper mixture of Odoban and water to add to the carpet cleaner to remove pet urine odors?
Thanks for choosing OdoBan, Angie! For best results, we recommend using OdoBan concentrate and diluting as directed on the label. For a carpet deodorizing solution, mix 8 oz of OdoBan concentrate per gallon of water. Unfortunately, we don't offer dilution directions for the Ready-to-Use sprays, as this is a rather inefficient use of these sprays.
Yes! When used as directed, OdoBan will freshen, deodorize, and eliminate odors on fabric and upholstery. Before treating a new surface, test a small, inconspicuous area for colorfastness.
IT WORKED!! IT WORKED!!😍 About I week ago I was in desperate need of help to get the puppy urine smell out of my car. I washed the seat with the OdoBan mixture then saturated the seat with it. Waited about 1/2 hour then Used a wet vac to pull as much of the mixture out of the seat as I could. I Allowed the seat to dry for a few days. Then repeated... wash, saturate, wait 1/2 hour, dry vac and let dry for a few days. I am absolutely amazed at how AWESOME OdoBan is! Woohoo! I think it’s working! I have a 14 yr old very good kitty who is in kidney failure along with some pretty bad arthritis in his knees and hips. He has been standing up to pee (unbeknownst to me) because of this pain, peeing over the sides of the box, and I only noticed it today after it appears he has been doing this for some time! I kept changing litter an wiping down the litter box thinking it was the box holding odors :( 😢Sadly it went under a large rubber carpet protector and …. Marinated… for awhile. Sigh. I immediately tackled it with a couple different enzyme sprays and my carpet shampooer. Alas, it was a no go. It was very obviously stanky of cat pee!! I was ready with my box knife to tear up the carpet and take off the baseboards and about 18” up of drywall. As a Hail Mary, I wandered about youtube to see if anyone had a magic solution for cat pee. Enter Odoban Eucalyptus scent! It does seem to be working! I followed the directions closely, 8ox per 32 ounces and I went ahead and drenched the area. Let it sit 10 minutes and used my small pet stain extractor to remove the excess liquid. I then got several cheap, white microfiber towels and layered them on the soaked area. I stomped and stepped and hopped all over the towels and then lifted them up. I could definiely smell the cat pee in the towels! I repeated the process again on the whole large area. I sniffed the towels to see if there was still odor.. yep. I think this step is critical- put your nose down. Get on your belly and SNIFF. I found 2 very persistent spots and so I soaked those again. Used the extractor after 10 minutes to get the majority of the liquid up and then stomped and hopped on the towels again. It feels just about dry to the touch. I have a question on Odoban for carpets. I used Odoban to clean my carpets and it did a great job. No more urine smell. Used fans to speed the drying process. However, the manufacturer of the machine I used did not recommend multiple passes to extract as much water as possible. There are, what looks like "permanent" wet streaks in the carpet even though it is dry to the touch. Is it dried Odoban solution? What can I do to get rid of these??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks for your question! When using OdoBan solution in a carpet cleaner machine, we recommend following the manufacturer’s instructions, but not using heat or steam. For the OdoBan solution in this machine, we recommend 8 oz of OdoBan concentrate per gallon of water. If you are seeing streaks on the carpet, you may want to follow up with a plain water extraction to minimize cleaner residue on the carpet. To do this, run the carpet cleaning machine over the area without OdoBan solution, instead, only using plain water.
Thanks for watching! We recommend always diluting OdoBan concentrate with water for your intended application. OdoBan concentrate is formulated to work best when diluted with the correct amount of water. You can find how to mix OdoBan solutions for many different uses on the Use-Solution Preparation chart available here: odoban.com/product/multipurpose-concentrate/

What happen to OdoBan No-Rinse Neutral pH Floor Cleaner? Did the company stop production? Can't seem to find them anywhere... And if you do find them the price is like 2x high.
Thanks for your question! Due to increased demand, we've temporarily shifted production to only making OdoBan Disinfectant concentrates and ready-to-use sprays. However, we plan to resume normal production on other products, like OdoBan No Rinse Neutral pH Floor Cleaner, again soon. 👍
Thanks for your question, Lynda! Although OdoBan can be used on unfinished wood, we don't recommend OdoBan Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator for use on finished hardwood floors. For hardwood floors, we offer OdoBan No RInse Neutral pH Floor Cleaner (though this product is temporarily unavailable): odoban.com/product/no-rinse-floor-cleaner/
Thanks for your question. When using OdoBan to treat surfaces in your home, it's important to allow these surfaces to completely dry before allowing pets back in the area. OdoBan has been safely used in many homes with pets, but different animals may have different sensitivities. If you are concerned you might want to consult your veterinarian. We offer safety data sheets on our website that you may want to share with them.
@@OdoBan It didn't eliiminate the odors at all. I'm really disappointed, especially since I bought the huge jug. I have it at about 1:1 strength trying to use as air freshener to eliminate cat odors and it just isn't doing anything.
Thanks for your question, Elizabeth! OdoBan Odor Eliminator can be used to treat urine odors on mattresses. Due to the difficulty of drying mattresses because of their thickness, we recommend using a machine with upholstery attachments, if possible. Proper drying is critical to the process, so use airflow (ie. proper ventilation, use fans) and towels to completely dry the mattress after treatment.
After watching numerous odoban videos on your channel, it seems I have a unique situation. My cat has decided to not poop in his litter box and therefore was pooping on the concrete floor in our basement. I was away for a few days and the smell unfortunately got into our vent. When we turn the AC on the smell travels up the entire home. I purchased odoban, both the spray and concentrate. I sprayed the basement with the odoban airfreshner and it helped eliminate the odor a little bit however the smell is still there. I need to wash/disinfect the concrete floor with odoban so the smell can be gone. Please advise on the best way to do this. Thank you
Thanks for your question, Christine. OdoBan can be used for odors on indoor concrete floors. For instructions, please refer to the last step in this guide: odoban.com/blog/how-to-clean-concrete-floors/ OdoBan should not be used on your HVAC system, but can be used to freshen and deodorize AC filters, when used as directed. 💚
You can seal the concrete, and it will get rid of the smell. I used kilz 2. You can also use Kilz regular. It's a primer, but it works great to seal concrete.
It's very important that your OdoBan solution can reach the source of the bad smell- in this case the urine may've seeped down into the sponge rubber (the layer under the carpet). For this, you'll want to either try a soaking application or use a carpet extraction machine (both applications are shown in this video). Please let us know if you have any other questions! OdoBan Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator is not an enzyme-based formula.
That's correct, Tara! For pet odors, you'll want to mix 32 ounces of OdoBan concentrate per gallon of water. The 8 ounces mentioned here is when mixing in a standard 32-ounce spray bottle.

For instructions, please refer to the last step in this guide: odoban.com/blog/how-to-clean-concrete-floors/
OdoBan should not be used on your HVAC system, but can be used to freshen and deodorize AC filters, when used as directed. 💚
You can seal the concrete, and it will get rid of the smell. I used kilz 2. You can also use Kilz regular. It's a primer, but it works great to seal concrete.
Incidentally I moved into a house and they had cat pee and dog poop all over the garage.
It still smelled like cat pee . Does it have enzymes
Can this be used on a concrete garage floor that a cat peed on and smelled the garage up?

My favorite 💚💚💚
Thanks for choosing OdoBan, Jess! 💚🥰
My bottle said to mix 32 oz to one gallon for pet stains, Not 8oz per gallon!
That's correct, Tara! For pet odors, you'll want to mix 32 ounces of OdoBan concentrate per gallon of water. The 8 ounces mentioned here is when mixing in a standard 32-ounce spray bottle.
@@OdoBan, Thank you for clearing that up for me. I just went out and bought two more bottles today! Odo Ban is the ONLY cleaner that has worked to remove animal stinks from my carpet. Odo Ban has saved my sanity because I have spent 100.00's of dollars trying to save my carpet, if OdoBan didn't work I was going to lose my mind!
@@tarajean2098 Thank you for sharing! 💚💚
Your video says 8 oz to a gallon of water for a carpet cleaning machine. Which is it, 8 oz or 32 oz?
You know that you put eight-ounces in the spray bottle AND only eight-ounces in the gallon for the machine...
Didn’t work AT ALL

Does odoban work better than enzyme cleaner? I want to eliminate all of it
Thanks for your question! OdoBan eliminates odors, and is preferred by many of our customers over enzymatic cleaners. However, we also offer a new enzyme product: OdoBan Pets Rule Pet Stain & Odor Remover. Learn more here: odoban.com/product/pets-rule-pet-stain-and-odor-remover/
Is the ready to use spray safe for pets and humans to breathe?
Do not breathe the spray. Always follow the label directions. odoban.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/520022BK-OB-Use-Sheet_Complete_210805v2_fc.pdf
