After using 20 gallons of hydrogen peroxide, 50lbs of baking soda, 1 large bottle of dawn soap and a battery powered weed sprayer to clean up a nightmare pet urine soaked 1100sq’ home, I can confirm that his recipe absolutely works. As a sidenote, I tried both Walmart’s 3% and 12% hydrogen peroxide from Amazon and the results were about the same.

Literally just tried this after burning something on the stove. The house was filled with smoke. The smell did not go away after two days. This is the ONLY thing that worked to remove the smell of my dog’s urine from my high-pile area rug. I spent days using a commercial carpet cleaner solution and enzyme cleaner and the smell would not go away. I’ll never spend another dime on enzyme cleaner again. Your tip to use a brush to get in the nooks and crannies is something simple that a lot of other people would probably forget to mention, but it helped me and I think that made a huge difference too. Amazing !!!!!!! We had cat urine smell in a rental unit after tenants moved out. We cleaned everything more then once $$$$. We even took all the wood and resealed it. Still could not eliminate the urine smell. This simple mixture did solve the problem. We mixed 2 batches one for me and one from my husband and we just wiped everything down. The smell is gone. Just an FYI Dawn Platinum (used in this video) is 4x stronger than regular Dawn. So if you're not using a super concentrated dish soap you may need to adjust how much you add.

Yes this is the Best. Used for an elder’s orthotic shoes. After washing with vinegar I poured this solution in the shoes. Let sit for about a half hour and you would not believe what poured out of shoe. Next time I will leave in longer. Washed shoes again and dried with paper towels as best I could. Stuffed old towel rags in front of shoe to maintain space for his hammer toes. Thank god shoes are still in one piece after all the washing but urine smell is gone till he can get a customized shoe with brace made.

Honestly I was skeptical about the solution, but after seeing the comments I figured I give it a try. We’re house training 2 puppies so it’s been crazy, but Thank God this solution works! I went the extra step and got down and scrubbed the floor with gloves on and a brush. I let it dry then went back and mopped with regular hot water and pinesol. Thank you so much for sharing! Sir, I cannot thank you enough for this video! My basement was used for storage. Since the pandemic, we decided to clean it out. We had an issue with mice years ago due to a small hole in one of the walls. Once it was fixed, we thought nothing of it. We never saw another one after it was fixed. Since we had extra time during the pandemic, we decided to clean it out and remodel. Once everything was emptied, we found old mice nests in an old box spring and they pretty much used the baseboards and carpets as a litter box. The smell of old mice urine is indescribable! We scrubbed the baseboards and cleaned the carpets several times. All it did was muffle the smell temporarily. Your family remedy is the only think that worked!
Thank you this really worked for me! My dog peed repeatedly on my rug and it smelled so awful! I didn't even realise what was causing a smell in my apartment so I don't know how long it was going on for. I tried vinegar and baking soda and baking soda alone, it seemed to make it worse. Can't thank you enough for posting this! Last winter we purchased an adobe-style house with a porch that had been enclosed by the previous owners. I noticed that it was a little funky but thought it was due to being shut up with no ventilation....forward to this summer with record heat, the smell became unbearable despite airing out. It was nauseating. I thought it might be animal urine so I treated the available floor space with your solution and it didn't make much of a difference, to be honest. Then after a rare rainstorm, I noticed some discoloration on the wall, which is the actual exterior of the house. I mixed up another batch and sprayed the wall down. Within about 9 hours I noticed a considerable difference and by the next day it was pretty much gone! I am totally amazed. It's really nice to have my living space back instead of being sick to my stomach because of the smell. @@lauracoley108 yes surprisingly it did I had to let it sit for awhile before wiping it away with bleach. The students stank up the restroom again though but that was inevitable since soon to be adults apparently don’t know how to flush a toilet.
Also try foaming shaving cream. Apply on and around toilets and urinals. Leave for 30 min to an hour. Used in Healthcare your years. Works on smelly body parts as well
Just used this in our "new" apartment where pigeons had made a home in the building's ceiling after having been empty for some time. The whole place reeked like a chicken coop! This really work. Thank God!. I moved into my new apartment and it smelled like pets every time I came home. I burnt at least $300 worth of Bath & Body Works candles. I mean multiple in every room. The smell would not go away. So I tried his method about a month ago. I didnt want to leave a review until I knew for a fact the smell was gone. And here it is a whole month later still no pet smell. I'm sooooo freaking glad I found this video. It really really reallllyyyyyy works. You should definitely try it. FYI: I have hard wood floors. So it was not tried on carpet. But if it works for the hard wood floor it should definitely work for carpet.
This really works ! Im am sooo thankful to have found this video! My dog is potty trained, however has frequent accidents because of her weal bladder disorder and because she is pregnant. I put the concoction in a bottle and sprayed my tile floors and laminate floors. Then I put the rest of the concoction with some water and mister clean in my mop bucket and mopped the floors! The smell was gone INSTANTLY! It also neutralized the odor that was lingering on my mop (was purchasing a new mop 2x a month). I look forward to more videos from you !

I used this today to remove burnt plastic oder from an apartment where plastic was left on the stove. We washed all surfaces with the solution and rinsed the rags every time in a rinse bucket of fresh water. This worked where nothing else had. Thank you!

I tried this tonight on my carpet! I poured the concoction into a spray bottle and tackled the area that has cat urine. The smell of the urine was so pungent and unbearable. Within ten minutes, the area was smelling less disgusting. I mean if I sniff up close to the carpet I could smell the urine still there, but I’m so pleased that it helped so much within a short time frame. I will go back and really saturate the area the next time and clean it up with a carpet cleaner! Thanks for the tip!

I literally never comment on YT videos but I have to tell those reading that THIS WORKS!!! I was skeptical because it’s such a simple mixture and I’ve tried so many things but this was a LIFESAVER. I have a 5 month old goldendoodle that is having a slow start to house training and not only did this take the urine smell out of my house but it also took the stench out of my mop! I will say that after using it, I did go behind it and mop with pinesol/ water just to add to the freshness but this I has been added to my weekly cleaning routine and it has helped us so much! I used this on my dog crates, mopped floors, and added it to a spray bottle to wipe down the lower half of the doors in out house. Amazing results. Thank you so sharing this!!
So it'll work in the washer? One of my cats, I don't know which, doesn't like the new litter box that has a lid. And I smell cat pee in my bathroom. I've had one cat for 7+ years, but got another one a few weeks ago. They are still at the hissy, spitty, stage. I have an unusual problem smell going on in about a 3 foot by two foot spot of my carpet... Rotten watermelon juice smell. I had a watermelon on a table, and after a few days, it cracked open on its own, and the rotten juice leaked off the table on to the carpet. I tried foam carpet cleaner, but that didn't work... I just applied a 4x (1 gallon) mix to the concrete floor of my crawl space. I used a pump spray bottle to apply the mixture. It got clogged once but after clearing once never was a problem again. Worked well
Did the smell go away permanently? I recently moved to new apartment and the store stinks a lot.. if I open it whole day then no smell but if I close it for a night , I get the same smell. I have no idea what kind of smell is this but it’s musty and not good for Health. I had lots of cleaning products and other vacuum cleaner plus electric items in the store but I can’t close it permanently due to the odor . This is truely amazing solution!! Used this on our dog after he got skunked for about three dollars the smell was completely gone, we did it twice because it was on his face and had to be very careful around his eyes!! We used baby shampoo instead of dish soap and was reall y a miracle will never ever use none working tomato soup again n!!!

This worked almost instantly!! I sprayed it all over my carpet, walls & couch bc my cat hates the self cleaning litter box I got & decided to use my apartment as her personal toilet instead. I have used this exact same concoction to clean stains out of the carpet in the past!
Oh yeah they hate those things. Just get 2 big ones with high walls and put them in different rooms and let your cat pick their favorite one. My critter likes to number 1 in one and number 2 in the other, real specific like that. But then again I've seen him in pee in the toilet before too. Cats are weird

But be aware that it will clean your carpet too, I ended up with lighter spots in my carpet where I sprayed this lol good thing my carpet is beige. Also., I should add I made a small batch & used a spray bottle. I did not have exact measurements, I just kinda eyeball everything but it definitely works!

I can't tell you how grateful I am to you. I had a child pee on car seat and have to drive Uber Tonite and was panicking because it's Christmas Eve and I have to work and no car detailers are open. @@mbjdiy1778 Just want you to know I still tried to find a detailer on Christmas Eve. I finally found a mobile one and the minimum charge was $130! Even for just the one seat!!!! I went and bought everything you said and I can't smell a thing. So great. I think I paid about $7 or $8 for peroxide, baking soda, dish soap and a little brush and spray bottle ( I put everything in a spray bottle and got the stuff from the dollar store.) I also got some doggie training pads and after I sprayed it and got the moisture out I poured baking soda all over it and then put the doggie training pad down. I vacuumed it up the next day. I can't believe this works! I have an over stuffed couch that I apsolutely love and can't find any more. I used 6 bottles of peroxide and soaped up the cushions. This seems to be a no rise solution. Any yellow stains came right out. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have spend a lot of time and money washing it, but nothing works like this solution. 😊
My cat peed on the rug I put under the litter box, and it soaked through the rug on to the carpet underneath. I'm LIVID, ready to kick her fluffy butt out of my HOUSE! I'm going to try this on it and report back. Thank you.
@@user_abcxyzz Lol, no I didn't. I forgot that fluffy butt did that! This solution worked by the way. I did also concede that I shall not put a litter box on carpet. I just keep it in the bathroom now. Since this original comment, I bought a 3 bd, 2ba house, lol! So the cats get their own bathroom (HIP, HIP, HOORAY). I use a stainless steel litter box, line it with costco puppy pads (like 20 cents per pad, needing only 2 pads per week), and pine pellets. It's the most cost effective litter box. Keeping the litter box clean (twice a week cleaning) and in the bathroom has resolved the fluffy bun problems... for now, lol! How are your cats doing?
Based on the comments I'm definitely trying this. Roommates dog got to the apartment immediately pissed in my room. Thanks for sharing! I've been using this for all sorts of things. Like getting rid of the manufacturer plastic smell from plastic bottles. It also worked on ridding the plastic smell from my portable shower hose. I now use it on my son's football gloves.

I have an awful cat urine smell in my carpet since my cat got sick and she always peed in the same are. It was very foul and I bought all the products out there like oxi pet stain and odor remover and some other products from petco and amazon too boy neither one of them helped. The smell always came back after 2hrs of treating it. I was so frustrated and found this guy. I gave it a try and bought a gallon of hydrogen peroxide and 4lbs of baking soda 😂. I was surprised it worked!! Put the ingredients in my bissell vacuum within 15mins of treating it the smell was gone!! And i check back after 2 hours the smell like totally gone gone. I got a pants from the thrift store and it smells like urine(I didn’t smell it at the time of buying it). I have tried to get the smell out but tonight Im going to make this mixture. And rewash it tomorrow. Then come back with an update. Update: I first made the mixture, I just made it in a cup because I didn’t need that much. But I eyeballed the measurements. And just used a spoon so I wasn’t using it quickly or wasting any. I really focused on the crotch area and down the legs. But that sat on the pants for like 6 hours. I put it in the washer machine without anything. Then I ran the wash again with scent beads and some detergent. I put it in the dryer hours later because something came up. But I just smelled it and there is no pee smell. Just the detergent scent 😊. Thank you so much Sir!!!

Works absolutely great! Got cat pee smell out of a mattress. Had some left over. Got something very, very sticky on my hands one day and nothing I tried worked until I reached for my leftover spray of this and was shocked how effortlessly it worked. So, I have found many uses for it since! Right now I am pulling everything that was stored above my kitchen cabinets that got old greasy dusty mess all over them. With a scrub daddy and this spray the fuzzy nasty grease buildup easily wipes away. I am rinsing everything with a clean wet cloth to remove any residual baking soda but I don't care. i think there is like a dead rat either in my ceiling or in my wall or both and from the moment I started splashing this around my floor and all over my carpet it finally felt like my nose wasn't burning anymore from the horrible smell there was before. I am so thankful that you shared this. After searching and searching seems most believe cat pee is forever, unless you use enzyme cleaners. All I know is that my house is not smelling!! (I do use an enzyme cleaner for newly found areas) Cannot thank you enough!!

I really thought this was another full of crap-Ola, butt this is a miracle. Loved your video. Just adding my experience: If your mattress or carpet stained and stinks pee then mix some dishwashing liquid+hydrogen peroxide+vinegar and put it on a sprayer. Then spray it over stinky surface and sprinkle baking soda. Then leave it to dry and vaccum the mattress or carpet. You'll see there is no pee stain left nor the stink. That's amazing. (I don't recommend putting baking soda in sprayer because it) clogs sprayer.

After using 20 gallons of hydrogen peroxide, 50lbs of baking soda, 1 large bottle of dawn soap and a battery powered weed sprayer to clean up a nightmare pet urine soaked 1100sq’ home, I can confirm that his recipe absolutely works. As a sidenote, I tried both Walmart’s 3% and 12% hydrogen peroxide from Amazon and the results were about the same.

This is the ONLY thing that worked to remove the smell of my dog’s urine from my high-pile area rug. I spent days using a commercial carpet cleaner solution and enzyme cleaner and the smell would not go away. I’ll never spend another dime on enzyme cleaner again. Your tip to use a brush to get in the nooks and crannies is something simple that a lot of other people would probably forget to mention, but it helped me and I think that made a huge difference too. Amazing !!!!!!! We had cat urine smell in a rental unit after tenants moved out. We cleaned everything more then once $$$$. We even took all the wood and resealed it. Still could not eliminate the urine smell. This simple mixture did solve the problem. We mixed 2 batches one for me and one from my husband and we just wiped everything down. The smell is gone. Just an FYI Dawn Platinum (used in this video) is 4x stronger than regular Dawn. So if you're not using a super concentrated dish soap you may need to adjust how much you add.

Yes this is the Best. Used for an elder’s orthotic shoes. After washing with vinegar I poured this solution in the shoes. Let sit for about a half hour and you would not believe what poured out of shoe. Next time I will leave in longer. Washed shoes again and dried with paper towels as best I could. Stuffed old towel rags in front of shoe to maintain space for his hammer toes. Thank god shoes are still in one piece after all the washing but urine smell is gone till he can get a customized shoe with brace made.

I went the extra step and got down and scrubbed the floor with gloves on and a brush. I let it dry then went back and mopped with regular hot water and pinesol. Thank you so much for sharing! I’ll be making a spray solution as well to keep on hand, this definitely is a lifesaver! 🙏🏼

Sir, I cannot thank you enough for this video! My basement was used for storage. Since the pandemic, we decided to clean it out. We had an issue with mice years ago due to a small hole in one of the walls. Once it was fixed, we thought nothing of it. We never saw another one after it was fixed. Since we had extra time during the pandemic, we decided to clean it out and remodel. Once everything was emptied, we found old mice nests in an old box spring and they pretty much used the baseboards and carpets as a litter box. The smell of old mice urine is indescribable! We scrubbed the baseboards and cleaned the carpets several times. All it did was muffle the smell temporarily. Your family remedy is the only think that worked!

Can't thank you enough for posting this! Last winter we purchased an adobe-style house with a porch that had been enclosed by the previous owners. I noticed that it was a little funky but thought it was due to being shut up with no ventilation....forward to this summer with record heat, the smell became unbearable despite airing out. It was nauseating. I thought it might be animal urine so I treated the available floor space with your solution and it didn't make much of a difference, to be honest. Then after a rare rainstorm, I noticed some discoloration on the wall, which is the actual exterior of the house. I mixed up another batch and sprayed the wall down. Within about 9 hours I noticed a considerable difference and by the next day it was pretty much gone! I am totally amazed. It's really nice to have my living space back instead of being sick to my stomach because of the smell. Thank you, thank you! eta: I forgot to mention that it also took care of the creepy spiders that were hanging out in the corners, so a big win all around!

What had happened was that I went to Puerto Rico on December 22 so I can propose to my girlfriend now fiancé.
And I came back on January 8.
And like I usually do every year. I left him alone for those days but my mom would check him every four days. He had a automatic electronic cat feeder.
And a electronic water fountain. That cleaneds his water.
But because of the time that he was alone. His litter box would get full.
And I guess that he doesn’t like the smell of his own P. When it gets too dirty.
And knowing that he’s 17 years old. And
I guess that he was looking for either a bag or some type of closing or a middle of a container or box or even my snare drum. And he Peed there. Because I guess he wanted to do it on a clean area.
Even though my mom tried to clean the litter box but sense she’s old it’s not easy for her.
Now I’ve been trying to get the smell out and I bought this product that cost me like $25. But it doesn’t work. It doesn’t removes the smell. I would try vinegar with baking soda but nothing works. That was the first thing I had tried. before I bought the product.
So my question is. Do you think this will work and can you tell me how much ounces or how many cups so I can have an idea with your wording?

Also try foaming shaving cream. Apply on and around toilets and urinals. Leave for 30 min to an hour. Used in Healthcare your years. Works on smelly body parts as well

This really work. Thank God!. I moved into my new apartment and it smelled like pets every time I came home. I burnt at least $300 worth of Bath & Body Works candles. I mean multiple in every room. The smell would not go away. So I tried his method about a month ago. I didnt want to leave a review until I knew for a fact the smell was gone. And here it is a whole month later still no pet smell. I'm sooooo freaking glad I found this video. It really really reallllyyyyyy works. You should definitely try it.
FYI: I have hard wood floors. So it was not tried on carpet. But if it works for the hard wood floor it should definitely work for carpet.

This really works ! Im am sooo thankful to have found this video! My dog is potty trained, however has frequent accidents because of her weal bladder disorder and because she is pregnant. I put the concoction in a bottle and sprayed my tile floors and laminate floors. Then I put the rest of the concoction with some water and mister clean in my mop bucket and mopped the floors! The smell was gone INSTANTLY! It also neutralized the odor that was lingering on my mop (was purchasing a new mop 2x a month). I look forward to more videos from you !

I used this today to remove burnt plastic oder from an apartment where plastic was left on the stove.
We washed all surfaces with the solution and rinsed the rags every time in a rinse bucket of fresh water.

I tried this tonight on my carpet! I poured the concoction into a spray bottle and tackled the area that has cat urine. The smell of the urine was so pungent and unbearable. Within ten minutes, the area was smelling less disgusting. I mean if I sniff up close to the carpet I could smell the urine still there, but I’m so pleased that it helped so much within a short time frame. I will go back and really saturate the area the next time and clean it up with a carpet cleaner! Thanks for the tip!

I literally never comment on YT videos but I have to tell those reading that THIS WORKS!!! I was skeptical because it’s such a simple mixture and I’ve tried so many things but this was a LIFESAVER. I have a 5 month old goldendoodle that is having a slow start to house training and not only did this take the urine smell out of my house but it also took the stench out of my mop! I will say that after using it, I did go behind it and mop with pinesol/ water just to add to the freshness but this I has been added to my weekly cleaning routine and it has helped us so much! I used this on my dog crates, mopped floors, and added it to a spray bottle to wipe down the lower half of the doors in out house. Amazing results. Thank you so sharing this!!

I have an unusual problem smell going on in about a 3 foot by two foot spot of my carpet... Rotten watermelon juice smell. I had a watermelon on a table, and after a few days, it cracked open on its own, and the rotten juice leaked off the table on to the carpet. I tried foam carpet cleaner, but that didn't work... I just applied a 4x (1 gallon) mix to the concrete floor of my crawl space. I used a pump spray bottle to apply the mixture. It got clogged once but after clearing once never was a problem again. Worked well

Did the smell go away permanently? I recently moved to new apartment and the store stinks a lot.. if I open it whole day then no smell but if I close it for a night , I get the same smell.
I have no idea what kind of smell is this but it’s musty and not good for Health. This is truely amazing solution!! Used this on our dog after he got skunked for about three dollars the smell was completely gone, we did it twice because it was on his face and had to be very careful around his eyes!! We used baby shampoo instead of dish soap and was reall y a miracle will never ever use none working tomato soup again n!!!

Oh yeah they hate those things. Just get 2 big ones with high walls and put them in different rooms and let your cat pick their favorite one. My critter likes to number 1 in one and number 2 in the other, real specific like that. But then again I've seen him in pee in the toilet before too. Cats are weird

But be aware that it will clean your carpet too, I ended up with lighter spots in my carpet where I sprayed this lol good thing my carpet is beige. Also., I should add I made a small batch & used a spray bottle. I did not have exact measurements, I just kinda eyeball everything but it definitely works!

@@mbjdiy1778 Just want you to know I still tried to find a detailer on Christmas Eve. I finally found a mobile one and the minimum charge was $130! Even for just the one seat!!!! I went and bought everything you said and I can't smell a thing. So great. I think I paid about $7 or $8 for peroxide, baking soda, dish soap and a little brush and spray bottle ( I put everything in a spray bottle and got the stuff from the dollar store.) I also got some doggie training pads and after I sprayed it and got the moisture out I poured baking soda all over it and then put the doggie training pad down. I vacuumed it up the next day. Worked like a charm!!! Thanks again so much!

I can't believe this works! I have an over stuffed couch that I apsolutely love and can't find any more. I used 6 bottles of peroxide and soaped up the cushions. This seems to be a no rise solution. @@user_abcxyzz Lol, no I didn't. I forgot that fluffy butt did that! This solution worked by the way. I did also concede that I shall not put a litter box on carpet. I just keep it in the bathroom now. Since this original comment, I bought a 3 bd, 2ba house, lol! So the cats get their own bathroom (HIP, HIP, HOORAY). I use a stainless steel litter box, line it with costco puppy pads (like 20 cents per pad, needing only 2 pads per week), and pine pellets. It's the most cost effective litter box. Keeping the litter box clean (twice a week cleaning) and in the bathroom has resolved the fluffy bun problems... for now, lol! How are your cats doing?

Based on the comments I'm definitely trying this. Roommates dog got to the apartment immediately pissed in my room. Thanks for sharing! I've been using this for all sorts of things. Like getting rid of the manufacturer plastic smell from plastic bottles. It also worked on ridding the plastic smell from my portable shower hose. I now use it on my son's football gloves.

I have an awful cat urine smell in my carpet since my cat got sick and she always peed in the same are. It was very foul and I bought all the products out there like oxi pet stain and odor remover and some other products from petco and amazon too boy neither one of them helped. The smell always came back after 2hrs of treating it. I was so frustrated and found this guy. I gave it a try and bought a gallon of hydrogen peroxide and 4lbs of baking soda 😂. I was surprised it worked!! Put the ingredients in my bissell vacuum within 15mins of treating it the smell was gone!! And i check back after 2 hours the smell like totally gone gone. This video is so underrated. Thanks man!!

I got a pants from the thrift store and it smells like urine(I didn’t smell it at the time of buying it). I have tried to get the smell out but tonight Im going to make this mixture. And rewash it tomorrow. Then come back with an update.
Update: I first made the mixture, I just made it in a cup because I didn’t need that much. But I eyeballed the measurements. And just used a spoon so I wasn’t using it quickly or wasting any. I really focused on the crotch area and down the legs. But that sat on the pants for like 6 hours. I put it in the washer machine without anything. Then I ran the wash again with scent beads and some detergent. I put it in the dryer hours later because something came up. But I just smelled it and there is no pee smell. Just the detergent scent 😊. Thank you so much Sir!!!

Works absolutely great! Got cat pee smell out of a mattress. Had some left over. Got something very, very sticky on my hands one day and nothing I tried worked until I reached for my leftover spray of this and was shocked how effortlessly it worked. So, I have found many uses for it since! Right now I am pulling everything that was stored above my kitchen cabinets that got old greasy dusty mess all over them. With a scrub daddy and this spray the fuzzy nasty grease buildup easily wipes away. I am rinsing everything with a clean wet cloth to remove any residual baking soda but I don't care. i think there is like a dead rat either in my ceiling or in my wall or both and from the moment I started splashing this around my floor and all over my carpet it finally felt like my nose wasn't burning anymore from the horrible smell there was before. I really thought this was another full of crap-Ola, butt this is a miracle. We recently moved into a new house that will need floor replacement in the bathroom.For the time being we've had to deal with nasty smells around the old toilet from the years of abuse . Loved your video. Just adding my experience:
If your mattress or carpet stained and stinks pee then mix some dishwashing liquid+hydrogen peroxide+vinegar and put it on a sprayer. Then spray it over stinky surface and sprinkle baking soda. Then leave it to dry and vaccum the mattress or carpet. You'll see there is no pee stain left nor the stink. That's amazing.
(I don't recommend putting baking soda in sprayer because it) clogs sprayer.
It may work for pee…but it doesn’t work for “dog odors”…I tried ☹️
