Thank you, Kevin. I too have a 2006 blue Honda Civic with the power steering leak. This is May 2024. Thank you ; You taught me as a woman how to fix my power steering leak
hopefully the stop leak will hold up and good luck to you!
Thanks Kelvin for the video it really helps me ; with my chevy express problem 😅
I been using the Lucas power steering fluid stop leak for many months and I still have a slow leak. I diagnosed it to the power steering pump and replaced the o rings on the hoses connected to the pump. The old o rings were stiff and the Lucas stuff did not soften and rejuvenate them as marketed. My real fix was to order new o rings and install them myself.
No surprise there
I got a slow leak that started leaking a little more recently. I bought a bottle of this to try. My rack is about shot and my lines are rusty AF so I'm gonna be completely overhauling the whole system soon. But hopefully this stuff either stops or slows the leak to buy me some time until then. It's either leaking from the pump itself or the pressure line going into the pump. The fluid in the reservoir looks as silver as anti seize due to being full of metal shavings so I'll be replacing the rack, pump, and all the lines. So far I only bought the rack. Still trying to save money for everything else. Lol
I have tried inserting an old O-ring into this fluid, and for 3 days there has been no change. The only noticeable thing is that sedimentation has begun to appear in the fluid from the O-ring itself and that a dark mark has appeared in the place where it was.
I then placed a new O-ring in another container with this fluid and it became slightly thicker over the same period of days.
i have 2008 honda civic there is too much leakage from power steering reservoir even i changed the pump also how i can solve this issue plz let me know can i use this product ?? thank you
I don’t know I read that in certain places, depending on where the leak is coming from like if it’s coming from a gasket for a pipe, it may not fix it
Can Lucas power steering stop leak be used for Honda vehicles? I was told by the ADV Auto parts manager that Honda's need special power steering fluid as they have different visocity levels?
Aren't u the emergency room guy who tells us funny e.r stories sarcastically
If you’re hearing whining, it’s not from a leak. It’s from air in the system caused by the leak. Bleed the system BEFORE buying this. If the noise doesn’t go away, then fixing a small leak isn’t going to solve the problem. Just get a new pump and hoses. Wouldn’t be a bad time to replace the power steering oil cooler, power steering gearbox, and power steering pump and hoses if you have the money for it. The hardest part is removing the pump for most vehicles.
Not clear what bleeding means. If sterring pump is working, it's pumping fluing through all the time together with bubbles, meaning there is no bubbles
How about the old oil inside of power stirring...
Does it work for power steering high pressure line hose leaks?
I think this is more for seal leaks rather than hose leaks
❤ if leak on rack and pinion then u are done.Lucas is out of question. 😊
I'm using Akebono brake pads if that helps. Let me know if I can share if you have some other issue.
I use those too and will do that video in the near future
@@kelvinsgarage Awesome, I'm a white guy. LoL
We welcome audiences of all backgrounds 👍
Can it be used with Pentosin chf11s oil?
You bet
Honda civic 2001
How do you get money back?
My mercon v goes into transmission and power steering its my reservoir that leaks . Stop leaf for power steering ok for the transmission since it will go into both
you should have gone for a test ride and put cardboard out underneath to see if it still leaked...=/
Did it stop the leak?
Yes it works !!!!!!!.💯
Also I'm switching to Moog control arms as my Mevotechs appear to be worn already so don't go with that brand.
Moog is stiffer than OEM so keep that in mind
If lucas doesn’t work use the blue devil power steering stop and go
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooord
No demonstration on results?🤨
You only put the Lucas no need for the power steering fluid any more 🤔
No need to add power steering fluid because the system below (pump, hoses, rack) already contains the original power steering fluid. Only the volume of the reservoir is filled with the Lucas.
And then what? Should we refill the reservoir with Lucas again or should we fill it with the regular power steering fluid
The power steering system will use the Lucas in place of the power steering fluid. The Lucas is a power steering fluid with stop leak agents inside of it. If it doesn’t work and you lose enough fluid to warrant a refill then the leak needs a professional repair.
@@kelvinsgarage all that it didn’t work with my car so I had to change it:(
Did it stop your leak
Starts the car, turns steering a little then says "Nice and smooth, better than ever before." Doesn't drive it, check for leaking etc. Thought it was a good video up to this point but lost all confidence in product or him now.
@@ohreally8929 فعلا وتم تجربتها ووقف التسريب.
If I had a penny for every time you said "alright" LOL what about the results?
Great video tut..I am a woman who had to tell a man that the fluid must be drained before adding the lucas..guys nowadays are soo lazy 🙄lol
Would have been nice if you showed the leak before & after......didn't really teach or learn anything or this end.
Okay video, but basically useless. I'm looking for the answer does it work, not how to put it in. Thanks for posting it anyway, just took up 6 minutes of my time. When I could have been looking for something different.
With the title he should have shown if it actually did stop the leak, not just the steering turns and sounds better.
where is the actual leak coming from? this is a very unpromising "fix" this is more of a bandaid fix then anything
This is an easy, additive based fix so there was no diagnosing the leak. From what I can tell, if the fluid level is not dropping (or dropping as fast) then it should be stopping the leak. Again, this is not a replacement for a physical repair and I am not sponsored by Lucas, just sharing some knowledge!
Hey man, sometimes a band-aid is what gets you to your next couple paychecks so you’re able to pay for an actual repair/replacement.

Way too long. Too much unnecessary content
My fluid is for both transmission and power stèering . Wont it mess up the transmission
It is certified transmission fluid capable
