- Instagramのプレゼント用に用意した小刀を仕立てました。
mogu cupが削る時は購入したままだと使いにくいので、刃先の形状を変えます。

粉末ハイスなので強めに削っても焼きがもどらないようです。
ハイスは硬くて研ぎにくいので、しのぎ面をえぐるようにしています。

I made a knife prepared for an Instagram gift.
When the mogu cup is scraped, it is difficult to use it as it is purchased, so change the shape of the cutting edge.
The blade is a sake jar from Tsunezaburo Co., Ltd.
Since it is a powdered high-quality powder, it does not seem to return to baking even if it is sharpened strongly.
Heiss is hard and difficult to sharpen, so I try to gouge the surface.

any sharpening after yakiire that produces a spark is ruining the blade. Ask any Kogatana maker and they will agree on this.

you ruined the temper of the tip by grinding without cooling the blade. when the colour of metal changed, you lost hardness of the blade significantly.

You don't know what you're talking about.
Why not just buy a steel blank and grind your own at this point. And definitely ruined its tempor but it probably wont matter with wood. With all that work you did I hope you didnt pay too much for that blade you changed completely. Maybe you should send them some designs since you just remake their entire product anyway lol
