1) I'm not allowed to deal any direct damage, meaning only Status moves are allowed!

incredibly good job. a true pacifist run, not a 'curse+faint' combo like some people i could mention. congrats on completing it.
Thanks, it took a LOT of work to pull off. And yeah, I decided not to use Curse because I felt it would be too easy for trainer battles, same with Perish Song. I only used them for grinding xp on Chanseys, which was an ABSOLUTE PAIN, and testing on the Starmobiles out of pure curiosity

I didn't test with any other items, but since it couldn't use the Choice Scarf, I assumed that it has in-built Klutz, which prevents it from using ANY items.
I have at this point fully streamed the DLC, the VODs are still on my Twitch!
And I'll be starting the Metronome-only run very soon, I'm just finalizing some ideas to spice the run up! :)
Applying Klutz to the cars would certainly be very interesting
Ooo interesting! Is the DLC gonna be stream-only? I would otherwise avoid watching the VODs just because Twitch has like, so many ads lol

I don't know if I will make a DLC video, but if I did, it would be highly-edited and very short. This video alone took about 40 hours of production!

For Eri’s Starmobile, why not just put Haze on a few tanky mons to force it to Shift Gear instead of attack?
Excellent question! I did think about Haze, but I deemed it too slow and risky to use. It would be slow because a turn I would use Haze is a turn I'm not stalling, which could result in being Paralyzed by Combat Torque and Sandstorm not being online for several turns. It would also be risky to use because Eri has random AI, so the Starmobile could still potentially attack instead of Shift Gearing and rip my team to shreds.
To add to that, the best mons to use Haze would have been Splinter (Clodsire) and Backfire (Revavroom), but even with the bulk, and maybe a Focus Sash or Magnet Rise, there's no way they'd be able to use Haze more than once each if the Starmobile has one or two Shift Gears up already. Not to mention I would need perfect positioning to get them to Haze in the first place. That limits Haze's usefulness in my opinion.
A bit lengthy of an explanation, but that was my thought process! :)

@@TheKingOfDorksss I actually do pacifist runs myself; not for RUclips, and as far as I knew there wasn't a way to pacifist the cars. I didn't know they took Sandstorm damage.
@@raikaria3090 this was my first pacifist challenge, and it really tested my patience, so props to you for doing them casually xD
And I had no idea Sandstorm worked either until I tested it. Thank goodness I did!
@@TheKingOfDorksss Sword/Shield is an interesting one. I'm not sure if Hop1 is coded to be godawful but it took something like 25 turns before he actually killed me.
Oh; and there's mandatory Magic Guard pokemon. Bede is... fun.
There are some games where you just can't get past the earlygame however. Gen 7 just kinda... ends at the bridge.
Yeah I saw a run on SwSh, super happy I did not have to deal with Magic Guard!
And I wanted to avoid making an exception for the first Nemona fight, so I searched for exploits for a looooooong time!
I just subbed and I’m not even done with the video because of how good this is. I would love to see more and I think this is the only Pokémon pacifist run I’ve ever seen and I love it
